It's perfect for those who want to experience a holiday in complete relaxation, without straying too far from the main points of interest on the island.

Our Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located just 100 meters away from the boat and hydrofoil port, and only 70 meters away from the historic center of Lipari.

Hi! My name is Bartolina, I'm born and grown in Lipari. I love my islands, I decided to open my bed and breakfast to help my guest to discover the beauties these islands offer.

My B&B is called "Zagara" in Italian does it means flower of orange tree, due to my tree that in the morning, during your breakfast, will wake up your sense of smell.

Room very clean and spacious. Extremely well located less than 5 minutes from the port and the main street, all in a quiet area. The owner was very attentive to us, making us homemade cakes for breakfast.

Kindness, welcome, and availability are the qualities of Mrs. Bartolina who satisfied all our needs creating a pleasant familiarity. The structure is comfortable and functional, with a nice little garden for breakfast. Fridge and air conditioning are very effective. Worth a return visit.

The cleanliness of the room and bathroom is very good, both very spacious. Uncomfortable extra beds. Breakfast is not up to par. The fixtures need to be fixed (entrance door and windows). The entrance driveway to the property is not illuminated.

For those who want to visit Lipari and the Aeolian Islands, I recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Lipari, besides being appreciated for the sea, the archaeological museum, and the historic center, is an excellent base to visit the other 6 islands and Zagara B&B is the perfect place to stay. The location is excellent! The B&B is very close to the port, convenient for daily excursions and at the same time very central. The street is parallel to the main street, close to shops and clubs but very quiet. In the morning, abundant breakfasts will await you in the garden. Mrs. Bartolina is a wonder, the strength, the character, the hospitality, and the smile for the luckiest. Upon returning from the sea, an Aeolian salad that I will never forget.

It is ideally located as it is close to the center but away from noise. The owner is very nice, kind and welcoming. It is very clean and equipped with effective air conditioners. Excellent breakfast.

Definitely a strategic location due to its proximity to the port and the main street, but in my opinion there are at least two fundamental points to report that left me a bit disappointed:\n\n1) Breakfast:\nContrary to the reviews read, and unfortunately this is not even the manager's fault, we found only packaged products (biscuits and snacks, long-life milk and bottled juices); only the coffee was made on the spot, but in truth, there was no delicacy that would make you stay at the table for more than ten minutes.\n\n2) The rooms:\nThe one assigned to us (a triple room booked in April!) was dated, with very retro chairs and wardrobe, so much so that the clothes remained in the suitcase; fortunately, the bathroom was decent and clean. (The corridor leading to the room was dark and not well-ventilated)\nThe towels didn't smell clean, perhaps because the area is a bit humid.\n\nHaving said that, and without wanting to completely disdain the structure since Mrs. Bartola is a precise and always available woman, I believe that expectations and the quality one seeks when traveling count a lot. Having spent quite a bit for a week's stay, we expected something more, especially considering that we chose the B&B formula over the usual hotel.\n\nChoice not rewarded, at least this time.

Traveling alone and for the first time in Lipari, I found the location of Zagara B&B really excellent, being very close to the arrival port and at the same time in a privileged position compared to the center. Despite being just a stone's throw from the main street, the location of Zagara B&B ensures absolute peace. All the information provided on the Zagara B&B website is absolutely true and reliable, and from personal experience, I can guarantee that this is not always the case! The photos give a fairly good idea of the structure. And what can I say about Mrs. Bartolina? She is a truly exquisite person, very straightforward and courteous, and has shown a willingness that goes well beyond what is expected. Despite having some problems with another hotel, she went out of her way to help me, and I can never thank her enough. I had a huge room all to myself, with a fridge with water (without extra charges for consumption like in hotels!), a TV, WIFI, air conditioning. In the morning, breakfast is served in the garden, under the lemon trees, with Mrs. Bartolina's exceptional cakes! Even though I only stayed for a few days, Mrs. Bartolina was so kind as to invite me to dinner with her friends, and what a dinner it was! The table was full of delicacies all prepared by her! I have never tasted such a delicious swordfish with capers! It was a holiday that I will always remember and for which I must thank the beautiful people I met. It's a place where I felt like I was at home, in the company of old friends, with Bartolina and the other guests I met! Beautiful.
