Description
Welcome to La Bergerie. The charmy, typically Sicilian early 900 apartment is set on a quiet cliff half way between the centre of Taormina and the sea side.
The private terrace, open to the sunshine, is the ideal place to enjoy your breakfast, overlooking "Isolabella" a stunning cove with a narrow spit leading out to the nature reserve on a small rocky outcrop which is 5 minutes walk from the fashionable Mazzarò bay.
An independent entrance will lead you to a large living room with a sofa, satellite TV, radio, CD, a small international library, an open L shaped wall separates the king size bedroom area from the studio where a Tea, coffee corner with frigobar, boiler, toaster, elettric hobs, microwave gives the facility of enjoying a fresh drink, a cup of coffee or a light snack at any time. A smaller double bedroom is also available as well as a roll in bed for a max of 5 persons.
A large bathroom with shower completes the tastily and simply furnished apartment.

On request: internet connection, sunbeds, hair dryier, special breakfast, etc. From La Bergerie you can reach Taormina by walking up, driving or by taking the funicular from Mazzarò beach. Several places are available close by Taormina one is the Etna Volcano and the villages on its slope and where a beautiful 18 holes Golf course has an astonishing view over the coast. The property has a magnificent view of the Mediterranean and two very close islands. We enjoyed a very short stay due to travel plans but thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Barbara, the host, sat with us as we had a drink on one of the lively patios on the property. She was very gracious and delightful!

We stayed 3 nights in early June and enjoyed a spacious room with a wonderful view. The location is convenient as it is easy to reach both the beach and the town using the steps up to Taormina or down to the seaside. It was super easy to park the car and we did not need to use it. Air conditioning worked well and the shower was great. Barbara gave us her cell phone and would always be available and easy to reach. She left the kitchen open and we could always use it. We had a great time and would definitely go back!

The location is optimal and enjoys a wonderful panorama. It is not easy to reach due to the characteristic maze of streets in Taormina. The furnishing is well-kept. An appointment of a maximum should be scheduled for check-in.

Fantastic welcome from Sarah who even came to pick us up because we were lost. Spacious and very pleasant accommodation. Impeccable cleanliness. Breakfast on the terrace facing the sea very peaceful. We highly recommend La Bergerie.

Barbara runs this cozy B&B with much hospitality and kindness. As we have arrived, our GPS failed to direct us exactly so she drove her car to come and fetch us. She is highly available (later also with Whatsapp), always caring for us and making sure we are ok. In the morning we were offered a great breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice, avocado (being vegan it was a blessing for me), a nice loaf of bread, strawberries and more. The view from the place is AMAZING. Located mid point between the beach and the town upstairs, overlooking Isola Bella. We found it hard to leave. Thank you Barbara!
