Description

This is a section of a 1850's courtyard where there used to be an oil mill, hence the name Le Macine. One corner of the building has been fully renovated with bright rooms and bathrooms that overlook a garden of citrus and olive trees.

We are strategically located within the town, but 800 meters away from the state road 115 at km 3 highway junctions, 5 kilometers away from Trapani, and 25 km away from Marsala.

In the immediate vicinity, we have: the boarding area for the Egadi islands, Vincenzo Florio (Tp) airport, the salt reserve (Nubia), the Baiata dam, Erice, Mothia, and Segesta.

San Vito, the Zingaro Nature Reserve, and Punta Raisi (Pa) airport are just a forty-minute drive away. Palermo and Monreale Sciacca are less than an hour away, and the splendid Valley of Temples in Agrigento is just two hours away.

Breakfast is served in the garden under the shade of the pergola. Milk, coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, marmalade made home-baked bagels, fruit salad and more. In the season of melons cartucciaro paceco with mint. All served on linen tablecloths and only ceramic service.

I am intrigued by this first experience working for the possibility of dialogue with the many guests who try to bridge the right care, making use of the natural and friendly hospitality of Bice, my mother who pampers guests with sweets, limoncello and granite made by her.

We stayed at B&B Le Macine 1868 in September. The B&B is located in a very beautiful area, surrounded by nature in the village of Pacheco. The accommodation is very easy to access, being close to the highway and only 15 minutes from the center of Trapani. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, giving us many tips on visiting the area. The rooms are large and feature air conditioning and a TV, in addition to the private bathroom. Everything is very clean and organized. We cannot fail to mention the breakfast, which was definitely a highlight of our stay. Served in a beautiful garden on the property, the service included fresh fruit and always a typical novelty from the region, making the experience in Italy even more special and authentic. We will definitely stay at Le Macine 1868 again when we return to Sicily.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the B&B "Le Macine 1868" in Paceco (TP), as already indicated in the ratings I gave to the structure and especially to the managers, it was four days of true tranquility. The main credit, I reiterate, was the welcome and entertainment provided by Nino and Bice (the owners). In particular, Nino for the logistics of places to visit and roads to take. Bice for the fantastic breakfasts (excellent and abundant). Both for their kindness and friendliness. I highly recommend it.

I had a great time. Nearby, there are fantastic places to visit by bike or by bus, I didn't have a car and I traveled easily through all the areas with my legs, by bike, or by public transportation. The staff is fantastic, they know how to be there when needed and leave you your space, just like being at home. They gave me a bike and I spent one of the most beautiful days of the entire holiday in Trapani and at the Salt Pans. I will definitely come back and stay for more days. B&B Le Macine 1868.

In Paceco you can find this fabulous B&B born from the passion of Mrs. Bice. It is located just a few minutes from the airport and the center of Trapani, an excellent retreat for those who want to visit the neighboring towns (San Vito lo Capo, Marsala). As soon as you enter, you are welcomed by the cuddles of Bice, Nino, and Massimo (who immediately make you feel at home) and by a fabulous scent of jasmine with which Bice prepares a delicious jasmine granita. The breakfasts, always different every morning, are all homemade. The quiet, clean, and spacious rooms make this place a real treasure.

We were guests of Bice and Nino, my husband and a couple of friends. We had booked 3 nights with the intention of then moving towards Scopello, but then we stayed in Paceco for the whole week! The village is truly in a strategic position to reach all the wonders of Trapani and that quiet atmosphere of the B&B wrapped in the scent of jasmine, the garden with olive trees, citrus fruits, flowers, the charm of the portion of baglio with its ancient ceramics but above all the breakfasts and the sincere kindness and cordiality of Bice and Nino won us over. Every morning a surprise, from the little egg from their hens to the real Sicilian cannolo, from the tiramisu without eggs to the brioche from the village bakery, all delicacies. Not to mention Bice's jasmine and mulberry granitas. We were well and personally this place has remained in my heart.

Writing the score is reductive compared to the value of the welcome and stay that Nino, Bice, and Massimo have reserved for us in their beautiful Baglio furnished with extreme care and charm, equipped with every kind of attention, what more can I say, an enrichment on the human side thanks to Nino's stories and Bice's attentions that started in the morning with her amazing breakfasts, a surprise every day, ending the evening with jasmine granita all rigorously homemade. It's not often that you have the luck to stay in a place that has so many good features all together: excellent and abundant breakfast, accurate cleaning of spaces and the room, maximum convenience for reaching the surrounding peculiar areas; but above all, it's not so common that the owners of a property are so kind, friendly, transparent, and correct with their customers! We ended up at Bice's place by chance. The Bed and Breakfast we usually go to was fully booked on the first day and redirected us here. We thus met Bice, Nino, and Massimo who showered us with attention and food. I won't easily forget the 'pane cunzatu' from breakfast. The room is very nice and there were 4 of us. The bathroom is new and comfortable. Beds are very cozy. But one thing alone worth the price is the garden of citrus and olive trees. Paceco is a very strategic town to enjoy this side of Sicily, and Le Macine is a fantastic choice for a stay. However, watch out for your waistline. If you're on a diet, stay away!

My wife and I returned to Sicily after over thirty years. We remembered the hospitality of the Sicilians, but Bice, Nino and Massimo exceeded our expectations. We felt at home. We visited the places recommended by Nino, we ate well following Massimo's advice and we do not have enough words to describe the breakfasts prepared by Bice: orange and lemon jams, fruit salads, 'pane cunzato' and tasting of cannoli and limoncello. The positive reputation of Southern hospitality was fully confirmed in the stay at this hidden and unexpected corner of paradise in the town of Paceco. We felt like family and not just guests; pampered and the recipients of endless attentions from Massimo and his dear parents. Well-maintained, clean, and welcoming environment; it is strategically located and functional for cultural/touristic holidays as well as beach vacations. We must return for the famous cannoli of Napola (400 gr!).

The kindness of Mrs. Bice struck us from the first contacts, the availability and attention shown towards our needs as parents traveling with young children allowed us to use the kitchen to prepare food for the little ones and without additional costs they allowed us to leave the car at their property, the equally kind Massimo even accompanied us to the airport on our return a very kind and enthusiastic welcome towards our little ones who loved the place very much, surely if we return to the area we will have no doubts about where to stay! When you arrive at B&B Le Macine, it seems like arriving at the usual B&B in the center of the village, but once you pass the gate, you find yourself surrounded by nature. The structure is in a rustic style and the millstones really exist. The rooms are beautiful, clean, rustic, and the bathroom facilities are modern. The hospitality of the owners is fantastic. Those who go to Le Macine once will definitely come back.
