Description
Affittacamere Le Vele is located on Via al Ponte Calvi, one of the arcaded streets running down from Genoa's old town towards the sea. From the front door, the Aquarium, the Old Port and Piazza Caricamento are all a few minutes away on foot, with no need for public transport.

The property has six rooms, all with air conditioning and a smart TV. Four of them face the harbour front, overlooking the Aquarium area: among these, the Deluxe Double is the largest and has the best outlook in the house. The Triple room is on the inner side of the building, the quietest one. The two Economy Doubles face an inner street and have a private bathroom for exclusive use, located on the corridor, outside the room.

Check-in is available from 3: 00 PM and check-out is by 11: 00 AM.

The location suits anyone who wants to explore Genoa on foot. Via Garibaldi and the UNESCO-listed Rolli Palaces are ten minutes away, the alleyways of the old town start round the corner, and Genova Principe station is a fifteen-minute walk.

Area Acquario
The Aquarium district is where Genoa opens onto its own harbour. Redesigned by Renzo Piano for the 1992 Columbus celebrations, the area brings together the Aquarium, the panoramic Bigo lift, the Biosphere and the Galata Maritime Museum within a few hundred metres. All around it, the working port carries on, with its quays, ferries and marina.

It also marks the border between two different sides of Genoa: the waterfront promenades on one side, and on the other the caruggi, the narrow alleys of the old town, which begin a few steps away and lead towards Piazza Banchi, Via San Luca and San Lorenzo Cathedral. Bars, focaccerie and seafood restaurants cluster between the two, and the area stays lively into the evening.
