La villa Palombaro Aganoor Pompilj, posta all’ingresso del paese di Monte del Lago, fu realizzata attorno alla metà del XIX secolo da Giuseppe Pompilj - accorpando alcune case d'affitto e demolendone altre per far posto al giardino - come centro amministrativo della grande tenuta di circa 200 ettari che i Pompilj possedevano nella zona. La villa, oggi di proprietà delle famiglie Mazzi-Olivelli Palombaro, è sede dell’Associazione culturale "Villa Aganoor Pompilj" e può ospitare convegni, mostre, iniziative culturali, cerimonie.
