Verona Fairs and Exhibitions Centre

The Fair of Verona was born in 1898. The event in that year was partaken by the future King Victor Emmanuel III. The fair is held on the premises of the building complex "Veronafiere", in the industrial zone of the town. The site extends on a total area of 350,000sqm, 122.000 make up the total 12 pavillions. It is visited every year by over 1.100.000 visitors, coming from Italy and abroad. An important convention center is also harboured within, hosting a range of events and counting only in 1996 more than 90.000 attendants. An enlargement of the exhibition space has been planned for the close future, with the construction of new pavillions. Besides, a direct link with the future "financial pole" - that will be built opposite the main entrance of Veronafiere - is due soon.
