Museum Cittadella del Carnevale

In the museum of the Carnival visitors can discover all the secrets and the threats of papier – mâché world. The history of the Carnival of Viareggio is narrated by original documents, sketches, posters and miniatures. At the enter the statue of Burlamacco, the official mask of Viareggio, receives with a smile visitors guiding them in the fantastic world of the Carnival. Here visitors can find a teaching stand where the different stages of the construction of papier - maché works are explained.
