La casa del Gastaldo is an ancient Renaissance building located in the heart of the historic center of Gorizia a few steps from the main attractions (via Rastello, the Castle, the cathedral of Sant'Ilario and Taziano among the closest). The location is also very convenient for frequenting restaurants and typical bars that abound in the area, with excellent cuisine and of course excellent wines!

Gorizia was called the "Austrian Nice", the holiday town loved by the Austrian nobles, on the way to the island of Grado, whose beaches are located about 45 km from us. But also the Collio with its landscapes and its fine wines, the naturalistic oases scattered along the So?a and the coast, the excursions on the mountains of the Great War and the proximity to Slovenia make ours an excellent starting point for extraordinary trips. Gorizia is an excellent crossroads for numerous trekking and cycling excursions!

The furniture of our structure is original and in harmony with its history, we wanted to make it even more special by making it an art-apartment: a space to stay in contact with the works and stories of artists with whom we have collaborated in our work of creative. During your stay we will show you the exhibitions that we have prepared for you and that we will periodically change.
The apartments
Each apartment is equipped with free wifi available to guests with a dedicated network, kitchen and terrace, bathroom with shower and washing machine for the exclusive use of guests. The bedroom has a double bed and overlooks the beautiful Piazza Cavour.

Mobility
Gorizia is easily accessible by car, train, bus and is located about twenty km from the Ronchi dei Legionari airport. If you need a short passage or more detailed instructions to reach us we will be happy to help you!
Thanks to its location, our structure is perfect for Christmas shopping in the Christmas market of our city.

We are located in the historic center, exactly at the beginning of the famous and picturesque Via Rastello, while from Viale D'Annunzio 1 begins the climb to the Castle which, skirting the imposing ramparts, leads to Borgo Castello and its magnificent fortress. In our area there are numerous excellent clubs and restaurants for all tastes, we are within walking distance of all the major attractions of the city.

We stayed for a few days at Casa del Gastaldo and we really felt good. The apartment is beautiful and full of charm, also because of the presence of numerous artworks, and it is in an optimal location to visit Gorizia. Virginia gave us valuable advice for restaurants, supermarkets, pastry shops, etc. The kitchen equipment is very basic.
