The B&B Fonte d'Amore, located at the foot of Mount Morrone, in the shadow of the hermitage of Sant'Onofrio, the temple where Peter of Morrone, the hermit friar who became Pope and then Saint under the name Celestine V, lived. But above all, it is just a few steps away from the miraculous Fountain identified by Ovid as the "Fountain of Love", dear to the God Amores, where He used to visit his beloved Corinna, a sensuous vestal, and where the water flows as an "infallible love potion" capable of arousing passions, uniting or separating lovers.
The B&B Fonte d'Amore is discreet and welcoming, the new and well-heated structure consists of a double bedroom, a small bedroom with bunk beds, a bathroom and a private kitchen.
The B&B Fonte d'Amore is ideal for any occasion, whether it's a romantic weekend or as a starting point for those who love mountain excursions (we are in the heart of the Majella National Park) and visits to the historic hermitages and refuges in the area.
The B&B Fonte d'Amore is easily accessible from Lamaccio Street and is about 3 minutes from the ancient historic center of Sulmona, rich in monuments and works of art. In just about 30 minutes, you can reach both the ski slopes of Roccaraso (AQ) and the beaches and airport of Pescara, and in about 20 minutes, you have the opportunity to reach the enchanting heart-shaped lake of Scanno. The owner is kind, even though I only spoke to him on the phone. The structure is comfortable, but not the best. The room was not very clean. The bathroom is large, but there was only toilet paper. We did not find even a bottle of water in the fridge. There is no air conditioning. I would say it is fine for one night, but not for more nights. One piece of advice: introduce yourselves to the dogs that are beyond the fence of the parking lot, they are very nice, otherwise, considering you as strangers, they will bark all night and will not let you sleep.

Recommended, spacious and clean room and bathroom, a few kilometers from Sulmona and the Maiella, in a cool and quiet area. The villa has internal parking on the property, so it is very safe. Very helpful managers, Gianfranco showed us the places to visit and the local initiatives, always ready to answer our questions. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy relaxation, close to wonderful nature, for beautiful walks and visits to artistic and archaeological sites as well as places of spirituality like the Abbey of S. Spirito and the hermitage of Sant'Onofrio where the future Pope Celestine V lived. We will be back!

The structure is part of a villa located just outside Sulmona, a 5-minute drive from the center. A very quiet area with plenty of space. The apartment is new and well heated, which makes everything much more welcoming when you come home after a snowfall. The owner, Gianfranco, is a very kind and extremely helpful person, he helped me a lot with the problems I had with snow chains, and he also helped me book dinner at a very nice restaurant in the center of Sulmona, convincing the restaurant owner to welcome us with only 2 hours notice, on a Saturday. I really had a lot of fun, and I want to go back when the winter season ends to see how all those places I admired in winter turn into in summer.

The room I stayed in was the double one, in the house there is another double one; each has its own private bathroom, it's like they are mini apartments. Very comfortable. \nThe shared kitchen is equipped with all the services, and there is a small table for each room, which I appreciated. \nThe owners are very kind and very helpful. \nOne thing not to underestimate is the possibility of having a parking space, inside the lot. \nThe location, although isolated, is very convenient to move towards various points of interest and is also very close to an "industrial" area served by various supermarkets. \nIn general, I think it is very convenient for those who travel by their own means.

For those looking for a bed and breakfast, this is the best choice. The managers are friendly and helpful, the location and the accommodation are quiet and equipped with everything you need. Moreover, there is a reserved parking inside the property, very convenient for visiting Sulmona and the surroundings of Maiella. For those who want to run or just walk, there is a nice path used by many. The bed and breakfast is right at the Fonte d'Amore sign, as shown in the photos. Thanks to Gianfranco and the family for the welcome.

My review is absolutely positive, the manager is truly friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, nothing to complain about. The only downside, not related to the b&b, concerns general respect for others. In the morning, two ladies arrived just as I was preparing coffee, which I naturally offered them as there was plenty to go around and out of courtesy. They sat at the table set for me and both ate the croissant intended for us. I remind people in general to use common sense. You arrive in the morning and see a set table? Ask yourself, you just arrived and don't need breakfast, at the very least, ask. Besides, they asked if they could smoke inside. There's a door and a landing with a garden. It disappoints me that they couldn't bother to reach out and open the door. No, the door is half-open and they smoke inside. Ridiculous. Nothing to say about the manager and the b&b, I took the time to emphasize how important it is to respect others.

For lovers of peace and nature, this brand new villa structure makes you feel at home. Complete autonomy and the possibility to park in a spacious area. We stayed one night at this lovely bed and breakfast and I must say that the tranquility and relaxation of the place dominate. 4 km from Sulmona, the bed and breakfast enjoys a beautiful panorama and great cleanliness inside the structure. Spacious bathroom and just room. We will return.
