In the enchanting setting of the Amalfi Coast, between the blue of the sea and the sky, immersed in nature stands the bed & breakfast "Il Glicine". The structure enjoys a spectacular view of the Gulf of Salerno and is an oasis of tranquility for those who want to spend a relaxing vacation. The B&B is located in the Fuenti area, a fraction of the picturesque fishing village of Cetara. Cetara, the center of the Amalfi Coast, is a fishing village, located at the foot of Mount Falerio and extends into a deep valley characterized by terraced hills, especially lemon groves and vineyards, which, along with tuna fishing and tourism, represent the main economic activities of the locals.

The predominant symbol of the village is the Viceregal Tower, built for defense against the attacks that Muslims began to carry out from the Middle Ages onwards.

Where we are
The location of the B&B is of particular scenic interest and is a strategic starting point for visiting the important nearby locations such as: Vietri Sul Mare to the east, 4 km away, Salerno 9 km away, and to the west, the other towns of the Amalfi Coast, the most famous being Amalfi 16 km away, Ravello 20 km away, and Positano 35 km away. In addition, it allows easy access to the main tourist destinations in Campania such as Naples and Mount Vesuvius, Capri and Ischia, the Royal Palace of Caserta, Pompeii and the Excavations, the Temples of Paestum, the Caves of Castelcivita and those of Pertosa.

Rooms
The rooms, comfortable and welcoming, with a splendid sea view, are all equipped with private facilities, TV, air conditioning, and free wifi. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the kitchen and, in the beautiful season, on the panoramic terrace above.

The B&B is magnificent due to its location, with a breathtaking view of the sea. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is well equipped. Access to the B&B is via a narrow but passable road. A magical place run by Massimo who welcomes you with exceptional kindness and availability. Always ready to help you with a smile and an extraordinary degree of kindness. He is a mine of information on the possibilities of the place and the Amalfi Coast. The road up to the B&B is very narrow and challenging to drive, with switchbacks and areas where two cars can't pass one another (so someone has to back up). Our host went above and beyond, offering us rides everywhere, which we gratefully accepted. The food was great; he offered many excellent breakfast items for self-service. The room was lovely and clean, although the beds and pillows were very hard. The views were phenomenal. An amazing place - thank you!

We stayed at II Glicine to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. We had such an enjoyable time. Massimo is the BEST host. He anticipated our needs and insisted on taxiing us to nearby towns which saved us a considerable amount of money. He made arrangements and made recommendations for where to eat, what to see and which companies to use for boat rentals, etc. Cetara is an amazing and underrated village on the Amalfi Coast. I truly hope we make it back to visit again and will most definitely stay at II Glicine. Thank you Massimo!

The host is simply fantastic and has a unique availability. The property is located just outside the center of Cetara, which can be easily reached with the shuttle service, readily available on call and costing 3 euros per person. On the day of arrival, Mr. Massimo gave us a tour of the village and was kind enough to take us back to the property after dinner. Absolutely recommended.

I stayed at this B&B and I can honestly say that it was a wonderful experience in every way. The location is enchanting, with a breathtaking sea view that alone is worth the stay: opening the window and finding myself in front of that panorama was a dream! The included breakfast was one of the best I have ever had in a similar establishment: abundant, varied, with fresh and quality products. But the really special thing is enjoying it on the panoramic terrace, from which one enjoys a spectacular view - a true moment of peace and beauty. The structure is delightful and is located in the locality of Fuenti, very close to the town of Cetara. From the B&B, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the initial stretch of the Amalfi Coast and the Gulf of Salerno. The sea view room is perfect for cleanliness and comfort. The breakfast is excellent both in quantity and quality, Mr. Massimo brings fresh bread and croissants every morning, in addition to the classic items available in the large shared kitchen. Breakfast can be enjoyed in the kitchen, but also, weather permitting, outside on the terrace or on the large terrace above the rooms, which is easily accessible and from which the view is truly unique. I sincerely thank the manager of the structure, who is always kind and ready to provide information, solve any problem (for example, he provided me with oil for my car's engine) and is available to take us to Cetara in his car. From the B&B, you can reach the famous locations of the Amalfi Coast such as Ravello, Minori, Maiori, Amalfi, the nearby Vietri sul Mare, and the city of Salerno, which offers the wonderful spectacle of lights during the Christmas period. Excellent value for money.

The structure is located on a hill in Cetara, immersed in greenery and rock. Strategic location for moving around by boat, by public transport or by car to all the main locations of the coast. If you choose a room with a sea view window, you will be left speechless. Breathtaking view, in the morning it will feel like you are sleeping in the middle of the sea, also visible from sitting on the bed. There is a wonderful terrace where, in good weather, it is possible to have breakfast surrounded by the Gulf of Salerno. Well-furnished rooms and a bathroom in majolica style. Last but not least, Mr. Massimo, the owner of the structure, for whom I would like to spend a few more words. Upon arriving in Cetara, he came to pick us up at a landmark to guide us to his structure. He took more time than other hosts would have spent to show us and explain everything about the structure and breakfast. He showed us a fridge available, full of yogurt, fruit juices and various cold cuts, and more. He was extremely available throughout our stay to take us with his car from the B&B to the center of Cetara and vice versa, even in the evening. If he can, he makes himself fully available to offer this service for free. Alternatively, there is a taxi, of which he will provide you with the number, which for the price of 3 euros per person can take you from the structure to Cetara. I conclude by saying that he is a delightful person and there are no other adjectives. It is worth trying. You will not regret it.

Week spent at the B&B Il Glicine in the beautiful Cetara. Right from our arrival Massimo was waiting for us, a very warm and welcoming reception. You definitely need to be in good shape here, through stairs we reached our very simple yet extremely clean rooms, everything was there. The balcony with a view over the Amalfi coast was great. Every day Massimo came in the morning to bring us fresh baguettes and croissants. No effort was too much for this kind, attentive, friendly man. So he drove us around when we asked and even offered to pick us up. When we come back to Amalfi, we will definitely come back here. Thank you Massimo for making our week in Amalfi a top memory. Structure not very easy to reach, just read the road signs and do not be 'distracted' by the panorama; you will be welcomed by the owner who is very helpful, friendly, and very professional, he explains everything about the B&B and acts as a guide for everything regarding the Cetara area and the Amalfi coast as well as taxi services only for Cetara rightly; the rooms are clean, simple but functional with TV, air conditioning; in the common area there is the kitchen where you can use the fridge and coffee machine, always very well-kept and clean. Saying that I recommend it is an understatement, we had a GREAT time.

The stay at BNB Il Glicine was absolutely wonderful. The view, the house, and the grounds surrounding are extremely beautiful! I would definitely recommend staying here when you're traveling around the Amalfi Coast. Massimo is an extremely kind and helpful person. The B&B is in a wonderful location, even though not very easy to reach, but Massimo provided us with a free shuttle service (him with his car) to and from the center of Cetara. We were kindly welcomed by Massimo. He explained everything to us well and showed us the place. The rooms were very clean and were cleaned daily. For breakfast everything was ready in the kitchen, but we had to prepare it ourselves as there was no one in the house. Magnificent view from the terrace. Very narrow and winding road to the house. It takes about 20 minutes to walk down to Cetara and about 30 to walk back up. However, there are good bus and boat connections from there. It was very nice.

The room was nice and the view is beautiful. Massimo is an extremely kind and accommodating host - he drove us to and from Cetara twice and even let us borrow his laptop to transfer some photos between devices. He clearly cares a lot for his B&B, neatly laying out breakfast and tidying up inside and out each day. Our favourite accommodation from our time in Italy - highly recommended. Do prepare yourself for some hairpin turns on the way up the mountain if you're driving.

The structure is on a hill, set in a wonderful setting with a breathtaking view; new furnishings, attention to detail and chosen with the taste of furnishing your own home. But the best surprise is the Manager, Mr. Massimo. Very helpful in taking and picking up guests from the town of Cetara, which is about 1 km away, acting as a guide in explaining the beauties and life of the place. But above all a great "person" who instills serenity and the feeling that the holiday must be experienced with the right calmness that allows you to remember it later as an unrepeatable moment, completely different from everyday life. We hoped to find a nice place, but we didn't expect to come across the wonder of 'Il Glicine'. Everything deserves an excellent rating. The building has been recently renovated, large room with double window overlooking the sea. New and clean bathroom. The peculiarity is the location of the structure, quiet and with a suggestive view of the Gulf of Vietri and Salerno. Large equipped terrace with tables to enjoy a spectacular view in complete tranquility. The owner, Mr. Massimo, is willing to provide information about the area and places to visit; he is always available and even offers to pick up customers who walk down to the village and want to avoid the uphill walk back with his own car. Abundant breakfasts, ranging from a wide selection of sweet, savory, fruit, yogurt, cereals. There is always fresh bread and freshly baked pastries. Availability of the shared kitchen for the three rooms, where you can also stop for a light meal. Another important thing is the parking, which is truly a luxury on the coast and not having it, costs. Congratulations Massimo!

Kindness, availability, care, location and view over the coast are the points of excellence of 'Il Glicine' and the owner Massimo (exquisite person). The only downside for us who are not of slim structure is the climb from the parking lot to the apartment. Not advisable for families with strollers. Everything else is ok. Thank you.

I had read the reviews, and after a moment from arriving at the B&B everything was as described. A paradise on earth, especially because it is managed and cared for by an exceptional person like Massimo, courtesy, education, kindness, all united with his sympathy. Our short but intense stay was very pleasant, thanks especially to this man. Shuttle service included, and breakfast more than abundant. The place is really beautiful. Immersed in nature with a breathtaking view. The structure is new, meticulously cared for, and very comfortable. The cleaning service is excellent. The place is a couple of kilometers from the village, but the owner made himself available to accompany us every time we needed it. Furthermore, there is a shuttle service (at a cost of two euros) always available for transportation. The owner is discreet but very helpful. The breakfast is plentiful, and there is always a fridge full of drinks and more available. Il Glicine is a splendid place for many reasons, but the kindness and availability of the manager make it ideal for a short or long vacation on the Amalfi Coast.

Our days at The Glicine B&B were wonderful, such a romantic and special environment that we have never experienced in a B&B. Staying there is like having your own villa on the Amalfi Coast: you can feel independent and enjoy your time as you wish. In the evening, you can watch the stars lying on the top terrace, smelling the intense scent of lemons and orange flowers. In the morning, you can wake up looking out of your window at the first fishing boats returning home from the sea and then sit again on the terrace enjoying warm croissants and bread, zeppoline (traditional Amalfi donuts), yogurt, espresso, milk, tea, cookies, fresh fruit juice and oranges, lemons from the garden and everything you desire (there is a large refrigerator for all guests).

Highly recommended! Massimo is not the typical owner: he hosts in the true sense of the word! It almost seems like he should be receiving distant friends or relatives. Furthermore, he always maintains the utmost discretion and privacy; it does not seem like a normal manager-customer relationship, as is the case in a hotel. He is very caring and generous, offering to do things that very few would, especially considering the price of the B&B. In fact, for me, the quality/price ratio is very high! The B&B is ideal for those seeking privacy and peace; perfect for those who want to stay at the right distance from Cetara, which, although measured in noise and not chaotic, is still a town with normal car or bus traffic and with the presence of neighbors and other tourists. The house is practically new! Everything is functional. The furnishing is very integrated with the colors and spirit of the Coast. The terrace is almost worth the price of the stay alone! Spectacular Gulf view, with lemons and olive trees surrounding you: it's a true peace of the senses! Being on a hill, you can take a nice walk to reach the town (15-20 minutes): it's a up-and-down full of suggestiveness, among lemon and olive tree terraces clinging to the mountain... And then, the sea and the landscape, seen from different angles of the road, are increasingly beautiful. By the way, I recommend taking a broomstick that can be found behind the B&B and hiding it as soon as you reach the town: it will be useful for support and also to discourage a harmless little dog that you meet halfway. In conclusion: I will be back soon and will definitely recommend it to everyone!
