Description

The Mare Verde B&B is located by the sea in Torre San Giovanni. Situated on the Gallipoli - Santa Maria di Leuca coastal road, it offers a strategic position that allows easy access to the most important seaside and inland towns of Salento. You can enjoy maximum relaxation and have the opportunity to be in the heart of the summer life; on this coastal side, in fact, between Gallipoli, Torre San Giovanni and Santa Maria di Leuca, are the most beautiful beaches of Salento. In the coolness of our garden, you can appreciate the magnificent scent of the Mediterranean scrub, immersed in the suggestive and wonderful view of the sea, with the crashing sound of the waves and the fragrance of the cliff that frames the warm welcome of the hosts. In this suggestive corner of wonder, with the sea capturing the gaze, our guests can enjoy a rich and genuine breakfast.

The Mare Verde bed and breakfast is located by the sea in Torre San Giovanni (Marina di Ugento) on the Gallipoli-S.M. di Leuca coastal road in the Mare Verde area.

By car:
Take the A14 motorway - exit at Bari Nord, follow the Brindisi-Lecce ring road, near Lecce take the West Ring Road towards Gallipoli-Santa Maria di Leuca (SS 101 to Gallipoli, SS 274 from Gallipoli to Santa Maria di Leuca). After Gallipoli, follow the signs for Santa Maria di Leuca, exit at Felline/Marine di Ugento (14 km). From there, follow the signs to Torre S. Giovanni.

I stayed in the week of Ferragosto. I really appreciated the terrace, as I booked the top level. In front of the facility there is a cliff where, with some attention, you can take a swim. This is something we did when we didn't feel like going around, given the crowds of those days. The breakfast was good and the managers were helpful. There was some noise from the passing vehicles on the street below, but I had no parking problems in the area. The price was perhaps a bit high, but that's the most expensive week. Overall, I am satisfied.

I stayed with my partner for a wonderful week in Salento. B&B Mare Verde is a green oasis with a tropical garden that allows for maximum autonomy and independence in movements. The room was very clean with daily towel changes and bi-weekly sheet changes: always everything in order and clean. Our room had a large terrace with sea view. The managers are very friendly and helpful, providing useful information about the area. The breakfast time is truly relaxing, with fresh fruit, sweet or savory options available upon request. Unfortunately, the buffet was missing due to Covid restrictions, but the service is still excellent. Well done, Monia! Parking in the adjacent street is convenient. To reach the center of Torre San Giovanni (about 1.5km away), a car is recommended, especially in the evening as the road does not have a sidewalk. The location is still convenient to easily reach any location in Salento.

The B&B Mare Verde is very beautiful, welcoming, and brand new, great location, in front of the sea and especially far from the chaotic center of Torre San Giovanni. To access the sea, you cross the road and find yourself on the easily accessible cliffs via a footbridge. Suitable for those who do not like the confusion of the nearby beaches. Excellent breakfast with cakes prepared by Mrs. Monia who provided us daily with valuable information on beaches and restaurants. Excellent cleanliness. Beautiful room, my husband and I had a sea view from which we admired beautiful sunsets. The garden is well-kept. Definitely a place to return to, if we ever take another vacation in that area. Highly recommended, a perfect 10.

The structure is located two kilometers from the center, facing the sea, quiet and with parking in the adjacent street always available. Exceptional and abundant breakfast with homemade cakes and fresh artisan croissants. Well-furnished rooms, sanitized and cleaned daily impeccably. Spacious areas, meticulously cared for garden and fabulous sea view (what a spectacle at sunset!). During your stay, you will be practically welcomed into the family by Monia and Raffaele, two kind and friendly people who do this job with heart. That Salento heart of which a small piece will remain inside you forever.

My boyfriend and I stayed at B&B Mare Verde last week. We found a quiet place, a modern building just outside the village and therefore close to many services. The rooms are comfortable, with air conditioning, fridge and above all, they are clean. The breakfast is delicious and served on the veranda in front of a very well-kept garden: you won't find so much greenery anywhere else in the area! The owners are extremely kind and helpful. It was our second time in Salento together and the location is strategic for the proximity (by car) to the most beautiful beaches. Highly recommended!

The structure is well maintained, welcoming and essential. In front there is a free beach with rocks while moving towards and beyond Torre San Giovanni there are wide sandy beaches. It is necessary to use the car even to go out in the center in the evening. Sonia and Raffaele welcomed us with a smile and professionalism, they suggested beaches and places always up to par.

The Ionian coast of Salento is already a splendid land in itself, but if you have the opportunity to spend a few days as guests of Raffaele and Monia, it will become unforgettable. Thanks to the hospitality and professionalism that distinguishes them, you can be sure to spend special days, marked by excellent cakes (made by Monia) and why not, by a few glasses that will even better reconcile your rest. We stayed for a week in this very beautiful and welcoming property just a few minutes drive from the beaches along the coast! I rated it 10 because the owners Monia and Raffaele are smart and kind people, it was like being at home. Very varied breakfast: Monia prepares excellent cakes every day, clean and fragrant rooms! They also have two adorable daughters. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

Fantastic week, we truly felt in a family environment thanks to the skill and friendliness of the hosts. Located in a great position close to the most beautiful sandy beaches of the Ionian coast. New and very clean structure and rooms. Excellent hospitality by Monia and Raffaele, very useful their advice on places to visit and the most characteristic restaurants (excellent breakfast with freshly baked cakes). Bellissima struttura con vista mare dove si trova tranquillità e tutta la cordialità dei proprietari. Ottima posizione vista mare, eccezionale accoglienza con gestione familiare, pulizia impeccabile, abbondante colazione in giardino con dolci fatti in casa direttamente dalla bravissima Signora Monia; massima disponibilità per fornire informazioni su come meglio trascorrere le vacanze, luoghi e spiagge da vedere, ristoranti dove andare per un massimo appagamento culinario; possibilità di escursione alle grotte di Leuca in gommone organizzata direttamente dal mitico proprietario Raffaele che ha la patente nautica (inclusa di frisellata e succo d'uva). Un grazie particolare ai proprietari Monia e Raffaele, che hanno reso la nostra vacanza a dir poco meravigliosa, sempre pronti ad esaudire al meglio ogni richiesta con cordialità e professionalità. Location incantevole, camere nuove dotate di ogni confort e soprattutto pulizia impeccabile. Dal 2011 trascorriamo almeno una settimana all'anno nel Salento e sempre in questo B&B, godendo del panorama sul litorale, della tranquillità del luogo, del lindore della struttura e, soprattutto, della cordiale accoglienza dei gestori. Monia prepara ogni giorno, per colazione, splendide torte casalinghe, servite in giardino tra il bianco della tenda ed il verde del giardino, curato da Raffaele e ornato di bellissime piante decennali. La socializzazione tra frequentatori è aiutata dalla cena offerta settimanalmente in tavolata, con pietanze e specialità locali preparate dal raffinato cuoco Raffaele e servite dalla cordialissima Monia. Il nostro appuntamento con il Salento, purtroppo solo annuale, non è immaginabile in una diversa struttura e con altri gestori/amici. Straconsigliato, in ogni periodo della lunga estate salentina. Sono stato con la mia ragazza presso questa struttura dal 08/08/15 al 16/08/15. Monia, la proprietaria gentilissima e sempre disponibile a dare informazioni di ogni genere. Le camere sempre pulite e io sono molto maniacale e rompi su questo argomento, non transigo! La mia camera dava vista sul mare, veramente bello. Lo consiglio, il posto è veramente bello, ne vale la pena, tornerò sicuramente (magari con tutta la famiglia). Ciao, grazie ancora di tutto Riccardo e Sofia.

Appena rientrata dal soggiorno in questo B&B accogliente e nuovo. Le camere pulite e la biancheria prontamente cambiata ogni due giorni; la colazione ottima, soprattutto i dolci fatti in casa dalla proprietaria Monia, sempre gentilissima e disponibile insieme al marito Raffaele. Da segnalare la cena a metà settimana a base di ricci di mare (pescati da Raffaele) offertaci dai gestori della struttura che ci ha permesso di trascorrere una piacevolissima serata con gli altri ospiti della struttura. Consigliatissimo!

Che dire, Monia è stata cordiale, efficiente, precisa. La struttura è leggermente lontana dal centro abitato, (almeno per noi ed il nostro tandem), ma vale l'eccellenza dei B&B. Bellissimi colori degli ambienti grandi e rilassanti, ed il mare di fronte la struttura, azzurro mare. Consigliatissimo! Grazie, Monia.

Splendida vacanza in una struttura nuovissima, pulitissima, di fronte al mare, posizione ottimale per raggiungere tutte le spiagge, colazione servita in uno splendido e curatissimo giardino. Ospitalità squisita dei gestori Monia e Raffaele che ti fanno sentire come a casa tua. Da ritornarci sicuramente. (Le torte di Monia e i ricci di Raffaele valgono da soli il viaggio!).

Il B&B è bellissimo e nuovissimo. Le camere sono pulite e provviste di ogni comfort, la nostra era anche vista mare (che volere di più). I proprietari sono gentilissimo. Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. Nota di merito alla colazione servita in giardino di fronte al mare super buona e super abbondante.

Arrivati nei pressi di questo B&B venite subito accolti dal sorriso della gentilissima padrona di casa, Monia, premurosa e disponibile anche a lasciar fare qualche strappo alla regola (tipo far portare la colazione in camera alla vostra dolce metà). La struttura è nuova e molto curata. Comode le stanze, dotate di un efficientissimo condizionatore, molto rapido nel riportare in camera un clima refrigerante nelle giornate calde. La vista mare è notevole: chi ama le spiagge scogliose realizza subito la fortuna di aver scelto questo B&B, che offre un accesso al mare vicinissimo. La posizione è incredibilmente strategica e comoda: a metà tra Gallipoli e Santa Maria di Leuca, potete raggiungere qualsiasi spiaggia del Salento, scogliosa o sabbiosa, in pochissimo tempo! La colazione, accompagnata ogni mattina da un nuovo dolce preparato da Monia, è doppiamente buona servita nel tranquillo e curatissimo cortile-giardinetto arricchito da stupende palme.

Struttura moderna di alto livello molto curata e in ottima posizione per vedere tutto il Salento (spiagge e città). I gestori sono molto premurosi, gentili, disponibili e riescono ad entrare subito in sintonia con gli ospiti per farti trascorrere una vacanza rilassante quasi in famiglia. Monia con i suoi dolci fatti in casa riesce ad illuminare ogni nostra giornata fin dal primo mattino. Camere spaziose e dotate di ogni confort. Sicuramente da consigliare per coppie e per famiglie. PS: Sfruttate il marito di Monia per avere consigli sulle baie nascoste da vedere e sull'olio e il vino da acquistare. Un abbraccio e grazie per l'ospitalità veramente squisita. Dall'arrivo alla partenza è stato come sentirsi a casa propria! La proprietaria, Monia, è gentilissima e disponibilissima! Ogni mattina aspettavamo con ansia quale dolce avesse preparato per colazione. La posizione è ottima per raggiungere tutte le spiagge del Salento. Ritorneremo sicuramente. Consigliatissimo.

Una struttura nuova e perfettamente curata, molto pulita e ubicata a pochi metri dal mare, circondata da pace e tranquillità. La Signora che gestisce la struttura è una persona gentilissima e davvero si ha la sensazione di essere a casa. Ancora complimenti per la meravigliosa torta di mele. Spero di poter tornare il prima possibile, Ugento è un posto bellissimo.

Bellissimo B&B, ottimo per la posizione fronte mare, per la zona tranquilla e rilassante. La struttura, nuovissima, è gestita da una signora molto disponibile e gentile. Colazione ottima, la torta fatta in casa è stata buonissima. Sicuramente ci ritorneremo.
