Description

Former country hall in the 19th Century, now urban villa surrounded by secular trees, lawn, rose and kitchen garden.

It is inhabited by our family exclusively.

The rooms designed for our guests lie on different floors and have independent entrance from the staircase.

You can reach the city centre in 15 minutes walk. Public transport reaches from here the city centre, the seaside and the Carso.

Watched car parking and Internet wi-fi are free.

Enviable location in a large private park personally cared by the owners who will receive you as personal guests and suggest you all the best to do, to visit and to taste. All this during the daily briefing - if you like - complying with you taste and wishes as well as exciting your curiosity.

In Italian, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese.

Guests are welcome in our park where you can enjoy the colours of nature and of our roses, as well as the company of our dogs.

Upon your arrival you will be received by one family member: either Sergio, or Nicoletta, or by one of our daughters Allegra and Diletta, maybe by all of them and by our dogs certainly.

Even though you don't speak Italian, we'll do our best in order to understand ourselves in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese.

Nicoletta is an experienced translator - and still enjoys doing it.

She has been owner of a successful beach club close to Miramare Castle, Trieste for over 10 years.

Just to keep on the hospitality tradition she started the B&B activity in 2002 by exploiting the wide room of Villa Fausta partly at disposal of those travellers who love spending their holiday in private homes.

She cares the wellbeing of our guests.

Sergio is a still active engineer and a retired teacher. He cares about the marketing of our house and is always present in the life of our "enlarged" family. He meditates, makes planes, organizes and enjoys of making the most of today..before it comes tomorrow!
He deals with the maintainance of both the villa and the garden. He has been Chairman of the Association "Bed & Breakfast in Italy" - Friuli Jul. Venetia for many years.

GPS: 45° 39' 56. 2" N - 13° 46' 8" E (Map) – If it doesn’t succed, set up your device on “Via Udine 87”: 200 m ahead you find the gate of our B&B
After the last motorway toll-gate we suggest you to go direction Trieste – Sistiana – Castello di Miramare, on the SS14, an every season spectacular road.
After 12 km and two short tunnels you reach the crossing to the Miramare Castle.
Continue along Viale Miramare 3, 5 km passing through the Riviera of Barcola. .
At the traffic light at Largo a Roiano turn left, pass under a road bridge, then turn 3 times right, taking Via Udine. Continue along it 200 m and you are at destination.
The measurements are not perfect however reliable.
This “secret” villa – secret because you can't see it from the road – is surrounded with its private park of big old trees, where you can find a free parking for your vehicle. It is located near to the railroad station and the bus and airbus terminals.
In the immediate surrounding there are bus stops of lines leading everywhere (to the city centre, to Miramare and Duino, the Carso etc.)
If you want, we can land you our bicycles: a cheap and ecological way of visiting Trieste and it environs.
We can suggest you personalized tours.
At your arrival, rooms are at your disposal from 3 p. m. / On your departure please vacate them by 10. 00 a. m.

The structure is a 20-minute walk from the center, managed in a very welcoming manner by the owners. Located in a historic villa, in an oasis of peace, it presents the inevitable structural flaws of an old building.

B&B lovely managed by very affable and courteous owners. Clean and very quiet as it is located in a residential area. Not in the center but the center is reachable either on foot or by car and it is easy to park. The only lack in my room is the television.

I recommend it to those who want to be quite close to the station but have a quiet environment. The city center is easily reachable on foot as well, but what I appreciated most was the welcome and availability of the managers. Worth going back!

Nicoletta, who speaks perfect German, is an extremely courteous and helpful landlady. We rented the suite on the top floor, which offers a lot of privacy as you are alone on the floor. Between the staircase and the bedroom there is an anteroom with two armchairs and the possibility to help yourself to the soluble coffee or tea. The bedroom, which is extremely charmingly furnished, is facing the sea. Thanks to the soundproof windows and air conditioning, you can sleep wonderfully well, which is otherwise difficult due to the busy road below the property. The mattress length of 1.9 meters with a high edge could be annoying for tall people, but that was not the case for us. The unfurnished balcony is only about 70 centimeters deep, but there would actually be space for two narrow chairs. The offered sweet breakfast is served in a rustically furnished cellar room. There is also a refrigerator that can be used for, for example, self-purchased cheese or sausage (the supermarket is vis-à-vis). The villa is located about 3 kilometers from the old town. We were allowed to park our car and our ebikes on the property, for which we are very grateful. We found the sun loungers provided for guests to be not very inviting.

Letta la recensione mi restano alcune perplessità. La signora ha prenotato tre notti e dormito una sola in una stanza maniacalmente pulita - come nostra abitudine. Non ha fatto la colazione nemmeno una volta. La posizione rispetto al centro si sa già fin dalla prenotazione, e la posizione della stupenda villa in un'oasi alberata e piena dei colori delle nostre rose si scopre una volta arrivati. Il gestore risulta essere persona molto sgradevole. Ciò e tutto il resto lascia sorpresi. Che la signora si confonda con un'altra struttura? Temo proprio di sì.

We didn't like the breakfast being served in the cellar. Also, the quality wasn't good. The house was announced to be situated in a garden. That's true, but we couldn't use it.

We were very warmly welcomed at Villa Fausta and provided with many personal tips on Trieste and excursions in the surrounding area. The hosts speak perfect German and English. A very nice Easter breakfast with Trieste specialties was also prepared for us. The villa is located on a very large private estate with magnificent trees. Unfortunately, as guests, we could not use the beautiful garden, as it is the "dog territory". I found this a bit sad. The villa and the rooms are furnished in an old style in keeping with the villa's character, which is very charming. Everything was very clean and well maintained. However, in our room, the bed consisted of two pushed-together bed frames with a large gap in the middle - those who are freshly in love may prefer another room/bed! The location is quite central, but you walk along the first half of a not so idyllic street. However, you can quickly get to the city by bus. The parking at the house was great.

Es wurde uns einfach nicht eingefallen, daß Sie trotz der nicht besonders guten Wetterlage im Garten weilen wollten: in diesem Falle, wie auch immer bei schönem Wetter, hätten wir unsere Hunde besser überwachen können, damit sie Sie nicht stören würden! Die getrennten Betten haben einen Grund: Oft kommen zu uns 2 Freunde, Mutter und Sohn, Vater und Tochter oder zwei Kollegen, die keine Lust haben, ein einziges Bett zu zweit zu teilen! Und für die Verliebten haben wir ein schönes Bett in unserem romantischen Mansardenzimmer! Nochmals vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten Mal in der Mansarde!

A green idyll in the heart of the big city. The villa and rooms have been stylishly renovated and furnished. The family lives here and welcomes you warmly. There are many tips for a relaxing stay in the fascinating Trieste. A bus stop is right outside the door, and you can also easily reach the city center on foot in about 15 minutes. I would gladly come back.

Congratulations, really a beautiful villa with a large room and nice bathroom. With a nice walk on foot or by bus you can easily reach the center of Trieste. The family that manages the structure is really helpful with advice on the city and surroundings. The two dogs are cute.

Those expecting first-class luxury are in the wrong place. Very loving, always attentive hosts. The honest feeling of being welcome. The wonderful old Villa with its old trees. A good breakfast in a great atmosphere. Fresh, homemade cakes every day. Great, the bus in front of the door. The proximity to the city and all tourist attractions. Highly recommended. We had a great time at Nicoletta and Sergio's place. A beautiful house, wonderful garden, quiet rooms, and the hosts are lovely and strive to make the stay as pleasant as possible. You receive sufficient tourist information about sights and dining. The bus connection throughout Trieste is wonderful, with a bus stop in front of the house.

The accommodation at Villa Fausta is highly recommended, mainly because the hosts are very friendly and accommodating, the villa is quite central to the old town, which can be easily reached by bus and also on foot, and because the original interior and the beautiful old facade of the villa with its park perfectly set the mood for the experience of the city of Trieste.

Excellent structure located not far from the center. The owners greeted us warmly and during the stay they never spared us advice and curiosities about the places of interest.\n\nCleaning and furnishings of top quality even if, in line with the style of Villa Fausta, not exactly user-friendly like the bath/shower and the bed (wider than long but the writer is 1.90 cm tall). Breakfast could be slightly improved in variety. B&B highly recommended!
