The Vela Velo Hotel, a family-run establishment, welcomes guests into a peaceful and casual atmosphere, ideal for both athletes and vacationers of all ages. Located just a few hundred meters from the center of Vieste and only 10 meters from San Lorenzo beach, it is surrounded by greenery and offers a relaxing and authentic ambiance.
Founded in 1985 as a sports ecological association named “Vela Velo Club,” which included a windsurfing and sailing school as well as cycling tourism initiatives, the hotel is set in a fully renovated private villa of the Soldano family. It features 17 rooms, each with a private bathroom, refrigerator, and satellite TV; some rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The family management ensures attentive and genuine hospitality, providing a simple and warm welcome.

Gentile Signor Gilberto, siamo spiacenti del suo disappunto sul servizio colazione che è un nostro fiore all'occhiello, abbiamo latte fresco e non a lunga conservazione, caffè espresso e non liofilizzato, crostate artigianali e cornetti della pasticceria e non surgelati, Twinings Tea e cereali originali della Kellogg's più una varietà di affettati con speck della Valtellina, prosciutto cotto Gran Biscotto e salami ungheresi, la frutta fresca di stagione con fichi e more selvatiche, anche i biscotti sono fatti da un premiato forno con pastafrolla, che ci fornisce anche il pane fresco bianco integrale ed ai 5 cereali. Purtroppo causa Covid il buffet è in forma ridotta, l'unica cosa che effettivamente manca sono le omelette ma ci stiamo organizzando per il prossimo anno. Saluti e Cordialità sempre! Great location to go to the beach, to visit Vieste, and to explore Gargano. The property has great potential but it should be renovated. The staff is helpful and kind. It was an excellent choice for me. If I were to return to Vieste, I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
