Description
Nestled in the green hills surrounding Reggio Emilia, our house offers a simple, family style hospitality.
It is located at a distance of 2km from Albinea, 4km from Scandiano and 10km from the city of Reggio Emilia.
The S. Maria Nuova Hospital of Reggio Emilia is ten minutes away and the Fiera di Reggio Emilia can be reached within fifteen minutes.
A perfect location for cyclists and motorcyclists exploring the Modena and Reggiano Appenines, our house offers ample, covered storage for equipment, bicycles and motorcycles. A washing machine and drying rack are also available.
The two double rooms (one of which has additional space for 3rd. or 4th beds) are sunny, comfortable and quiet.
They are autonomous from the main residence and have WiFi access. amenities are included: a completely equipped kitchen, board games and books, a 3000 m. garden wherefamilies with children can play freely during summer months while enjoying domestic pets and close contact to nature. Medical assistance and baby sitting services are also available upon request.
At a close distance from the house are clubs Lo Stradello and La Razza with outdoor and indoor swimming pools, horseback riding, tennis courts at Circolo di Albinea e Canali, golf club and Spa Matilde di Canossa.
Guests here for work or study can relax by taking walks among natural and geo-archeological paths departing directly from the house.
Our B&B is also at an excellent point of departure for visiting the matildi castles (www. matildedicanossa. it), the Parco Naturale Matildico di Montalto, the Parco Nazionale Tosco Emiliano (walk or climb on the Bismantova stone), villas, castles and archeological sites.
The area is situated within the enology-gastronomical zone of the "strada dei vini e dei sapori" (www. stradaviniesapori. it) which offers the possibility to purchase local specialties such as grana cheese, parmigiano reggiano, balsamic vinegar, and a variety of salami and local wines (Lambrusco and the white of Puianello and Scandiano). The typical "Osterie" restaurants will acquaint you with a wide variety of local dishes: green or pumpkin tortellini, cappelletti, tigelle, gnocco fritto, zampone, cotechini, erbazzone, torta di riso ……
Our breakfasts always include pastries and marmalades of our own making. Upon request vegan breakfasts are also available.

The breakfast consists of homemade cakes, fresh bread, homemade jams, and cold cuts and cheese for those who prefer something "savory". I really enjoy making local cakes like the "rice cake" and I love recommending local restaurants and typical dishes to guests who are interested.

Positive aspects: the location, the quietness for rest, the proximity to Albinea. Less positive: 'reduced' breakfast (only sweet), one bathroom for all rooms, cash payments only, non-functioning TV.

Salve Guido. Sono molto dispiaciuta che non si sia trovato al meglio a casa mia perché ci tengo molto al benessere dei miei ospiti. Ci tengo a precisare che la colazione non comprende solo il dolce. Forse non ci siamo intesi bene. Per quanto riguarda la televisione, ho controllato ed era perfettamente funzionante. In ogni modo io abito a fianco e se aveva dei problemi poteva contattarmi e avremmo risolto in breve. Detto questo, spero di averla ancora mio ospite in modo da poter soddisfare le sue esigenze in fatto di colazione visto che stavolta non l' ha voluta. Un saluto

Place in the midst of the stunning Romagna countryside. Excellent cleanliness and hospitality. We will return, because the surrounding villages are beautiful.

Sono giunta da Mara per caso e con poco preavviso, dato che ho dovuto cercare una sistemazione per lavoro, in pochi giorni. Mi ha sorpreso la sua cordialità sin dai primi contatti via mail. Quando sono andata a vedere concretamente il B&B, mi sono sentita a casa, cosa che non ho provato negli altri posti che avevo considerato. La posizione è ottima per chiunque pratichi sport quali corsa, mtb o bici su strada, a un attimo da bellissimi sentieri e molto curati, quali l'anello di Cà del Vento di Borzano, la via di Canossa e il sentiero Matildico. I paesaggi ed il panorama attorno sono meravigliosi.
Mi sono sentita a casa per la cordialità, l'ospitalità ed allo stesso tempo la riservatezza che contraddistingue Mara e la sua famiglia. Per quasi due mesi, mi è sembrato di stare in famiglia, ecco. I suoi dolcissimi cani. Le piccole attenzioni. La libertà di poter rientrare a qualsiasi orario, sempre nel rispetto degli altri ospiti. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Se dovessi tornare a Reggio Emilia, per qualsiasi motivo, saprò dove andare!

Posizione ottima, tra le colline reggiane. Calma, relax, silenzio. Grande cordialità della titolare. Se ci vai poi ci torni, io ci vado una volta al mese da un anno. E ci torno ancora. Molto pulito.
