Description

The B&B "Vista Mare" is situated in the quiet Marina di Maratea, at 2 minutes from the cliff and 7/8 minutes walk from the beach of Santa Teresa. By car, you can reach in few minutes many other beautiful beaches that make up the coast of Maratea, such as: Calaficarra, Illicini, Spiaggia Nera, Macarro, La Secca, l'Agnola, Santo Janni. From the terrace of the "Vista Mare", it's possible to see the Policastro's Gulf up to the statue of the Christ, which dominates the San Biagio's Mount.

Every room has independent access, private bathroom in-room, car parking, air conditioning, flat screen TV, hairdryer and free wi-fi. The change of the towels is daily, while the beds are changed every 3 days. We provide our guests with shower-shampoo and soap bars individually wrapped (NO anti-hygienic dispenser!)

We offer a typical sweet Italian breakfast: croissants, a sweet pastry (which changes daily!), jams (both packaged and homemade), butter, yogurt, hot and cold drinks (coffee, tea, cappuccino, juices), biscuits, rusks, and fruit.

From June to September, breakfast is served from 8:00 to 9:00 on the panoramic terrace.

During the other months, we serve a croissant and cappuccino in the room at a mutually agreed upon time.

My paternal grandfather, who returned from Venezuela, opened a hotel in Cilento in the 80s, so I can say I was born into the hospitality industry. Since I was 17 years old, I have always worked in hotels, first in the dining room and then at the reception desk. For 8 years, I was the head of reception at a hotel in Maratea, until my wife and I decided to leave our respective jobs to open our own B&B: Vista Mare Maratea.

Before embarking on this venture, we traveled a bit around Italy and Europe: Rome, Naples, Matera, Florence, Paris, Brussels, Prague, London, Madrid, and just over a month in Toledo. Besides enjoying the destinations, we tried to understand the needs and expectations of travelers, and we will always strive to be available to all those who come to discover Maratea, always being by the guests' side without being intrusive.

The Vista Mare is located in the beautiful and very quiet Marina di Maratea, where the green dives into the blue.

In just a few minutes, on foot, you can reach Santa Teresa beach, while by car you can choose from a myriad of beaches, such as Macarro, Spiaggia Nera, Calaficarra, Illicini, Santo Janni, La Secca, and many others.

The staircase below the B&B, consisting of about a hundred steps, leads directly to the unspoiled cliff overlooking Valle D'Acqua and the Grotta di Judia.

By following the SS18 northbound, you can reach the historic center of Maratea in less than 10 minutes; the Statue of the Redeemer is located just a little higher up and can be reached in about 15/20 minutes. Continuing south, Marina di Tortora and Praia a Mare (in nearby Calabria) can be reached in less than 10 minutes.

For those who stay for more than a few days, we recommend a visit to the inland areas as well: Trecchina, Nemoli, and Rivello, for example, are beautiful towns in the Lucanian hinterland.

We spent three days at this cozy B&B Vista Mare. Strategic location, breathtaking view, clean room equipped with every comfort but above all impeccable hospitality. Delicious breakfast with excellent homemade products. Highly recommended.

I stayed 6 days in the single room. The structure has an exceptional view of the gulf able to cure any "bad" mood. The room is very clean, the facilities are new.\nI appreciated the kindness, the attentions and the organization of the host who is also affiliated with a restaurant within walking distance and with a couple of beach establishments in the area.\nEven the assigned parking space was a convenience, not essential but appreciated.\nGreat care and great attention to the guest.

The enchanting view from the terrace where you have a great breakfast alone would be worth choosing this B&B. Nonetheless, there is much more: the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, equipped with services for a relaxing holiday (private internal bathroom, air conditioning, hairdryer, free wi-fi, mini fridge, with very accurate cleaning and linen changes) and there is a dedicated parking space for each room. Besides the view, what amazes is the service: the attention and preparation of the manager (Luca) go beyond all expectations. He was very kind and attentive to all our needs and advised us on everything, from the free beaches to discover to the exclusive ones to book, from the restaurants to dine in to the experiences to fully enjoy this wonderful place (fabulous kayak and boat trips!). And he never disappointed us! Thank you for everything Luca, we will be back! Super highly recommended!

If you want a holiday where the keyword is relaxation, then B&B Vista Mare is the best place. The rooms are surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Not far from the center of Maratea and all the beautiful beaches in the area. Luca is a very kind person, super helpful, welcoming, kind, always ready to meet every request, truly an exceptional person. Breakfast is served on the terrace and is really rich and delicious, with excellent quality products (the homemade sweet made by Luca's wife is exceptional). My husband and I were very happy with this short vacation. I recommend it to everyone.

Rooms as in the pictures. Spacious bathroom. Veranda with stunning view. Quiet place and very convenient location to reach all the surrounding places of interest although a car is still needed to move around. Private parking. Super helpful manager. If we really want to find a flaw, there is no fridge in the room, otherwise no defects. Excellent value for money.

Nice rooms and the property is in an optimal position to visit the coves and beaches in the area. Excellent breakfast, both for the food and for the view you can enjoy. Special mention to Luca who 'spoiled' us throughout our stay, recommending places to visit and restaurants, well done.

Fantastic experience, absolutely recommended to everyone! Our room was well-kept, clean, and the bed very comfortable. The B&B Vista Mare has a spectacular view and a very relaxing and intimate atmosphere. But the best part of the stay was Luca and his wife who gave us a lot of tips and contacts to make our Maratea experience truly extraordinary, spoiled us with their sweets, made us feel at ease, and allowed us to have a very pleasant (but too short!) holiday. I stayed last year in June but only now I find a minute to spend a few words on this excellent B&B Vista Mare. Small but well-kept and very clean room, bathroom with window. What was perhaps missing is a camping fridge to at least keep some drinks cool. Excellent breakfast served on the terrace with a stunning view of the sea. The owner Luca, a very professional person, was very kind in picking us up, giving us advice for our stay, and helping us on the last day when we had a car breakdown as we had to proceed to Sicily, we cannot forget the exquisite homemade cakes made by his wife. I would like to thank them once again for their availability and thank you Luca for the lemons we ate during our vacation.

La vista mare c'è davvero ed è bellissima. Da migliorare l'accesso alla struttura con l'auto, è stretto e a "dirupo", oltre che poco visibile.

"Un'oasi di pace e tranquillità". Abbiamo soggiornato due notti, sufficienti per cogliere ed apprezzare ogni aspetto positivo della location e dei gestori, Luca: simpatico, gentile, accogliente e disponibile per ogni informazione e suggerimento, bravo a risolvere ogni problema. Ci ha fornito anche buoni sconto presso ristoranti e lidi, col privilegio di una piccola raccomandazione per la "postazione più bella". Katrin: la "fata" delle ordinate e pulite stanze e delle squisite torte a colazione! Sveglia con uno sguardo aperto su mare, cielo e alberi di limoni e fichi; tramonti fantastici, quiete e silenzio assoluti, relax totale. Che dire, tutto semplicemente fantastico.

Panorama mozzafiato in un luogo dove la natura è ancora incontaminata. I proprietari, Luca e Katrine, simpatici, ospitali e disponibili; colazione all'italiana abbondante con dolci fatti in casa; la vicinanza alla stazione ferroviaria consente di raggiungere le vicine località anche se si è privi di mezzi di trasporto; ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Mancava nelle domande per la recensione la gentilezza (voto 20) e la disponibilità (Voto 20), io spero solo che il tutto continui con la stessa passione e non diventi solo un modo per fare soldi. La vita è fatta di entusiasmi e quando incontri Gianluca non puoi non notare la sua voglia di migliorarsi per appagare chi ospita.

Non posso che parlare bene di questa struttura che mi ha colpita da subito. La vista che si gode dalla terazzina è spettacolare perché si affaccia sul mare, l'entrata della camere è indipendente e quindi questa vista ci si gode ogni momento che si vuole semplicemente uscendo dalla porta della camera e anche durante la colazione! L'atmosfera che si respira è assolutamente rilassante e la precisione, la gentilezza e la cura di tutto da parte dei proprietari è veramente segno che c'è da parte loro una grande passione nella scelta che hanno fatto. La camera spaziosa e assolutamente pulita. La colazione varia e di qualità, apprezzatissimi i cornetti ancora caldi semplicemente deliziosi. Gianluca il proprietario ci ha messo al corrente di tutto quello che potevamo fare nella zona, ci ha indicato i locali migliori dove mangiare e tutto quanto poteva essere anche piacevole per nostro figlio. Insomma assolutamente consigliato. Un grazie particolare a Gianluca e un grosso in bocca al lupo per la nuova attività che direi è già partita alla grande.

Per caso ho trovato questa struttura e devo dire che non sarei potuto capitare meglio. Posizione panoramica immersa nel verde, camera con arredo nuovo e bagno eccellente. Colazione ottima e abbondante. Tantissime calette e spiagge a pochissima distanza, per tutti i gusti. Paese di Maratea carinissimo e affascinante. Un plauso e un ringraziamento al titolare Luca e signora, che ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa, fornendo un'assistenza impeccabile unita ad una gran gentilezza. Ritorneremo sicuramente. In ultimo consiglio vivamente di effettuare almeno un'escursione lungo la costa Sud che è spettacolare. Maratea un angolo di paradiso.

Che scoperta! Abbiamo pernottato purtroppo una sola notte nella camera tre! Una camera molto molto accogliente letto a una piazza r mezza bagno grande pulizia impeccabile e vista mare pazzesca !la struttura ha una posizione strategica tra Maratea e Praia a mare raggiungibile in 10minuti d auto! Luca è stato gentilissimo ci ha prenotato un tavolo al ristorante affianco dove abbiamo avuto anche uno sconto grazie a lui e abbiamo mangiato molto bene ci ha dato tante info per spostarci e per le spiagge da raggiungere!colazione dolce a buffet abbondante molto buona!consigliatissimo.
