The Bed & Breakfast “La casa di Zefiro” is a small, family-run property established in 2003 and personally managed by the owner, Alessandro Cenci. In 2017, the rooms were completely renovated to offer guests the highest level of comfort.
The villa is located in the small village of Castra, within the Municipality of Capraia e Limite. It sits in a strategic position between Empoli (the city of musician Ferruccio Busoni, also famous for its Glass Museum - MUVE), Vinci (the birthplace of the Florentine genius Leonardo da Vinci), and Montelupo Fiorentino (renowned for its ceramics and ceramic museum). Situated 400 meters above sea level and immersed in the countryside near the Montalbano natural park, the property is an ideal starting point for visiting Florence, Prato, and Pistoia.
“La casa di Zefiro” features 4 bright rooms with private bathrooms, tastefully decorated with simplicity and original touches. All rooms offer a splendid view of the typical Tuscan hills, characterized by olive groves, vineyards, and wheat fields arranged on classic terraces.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property. Rooms are also equipped with a 32” Smart TV, hairdryer, heating, and air conditioning. Cleaning is provided every morning, with linen changes every 3 days.
The Montelupo Fiorentino train station can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car, offering excellent connections to the region's main cities, including Florence, Pisa, Siena, Livorno, and Viareggio.
The B&B’s strategic location also allows for easy driving access to enchanting villages and historic villas. Among these are Carmignano (with the Church of San Michele, home to Pontormo’s “The Visitation”), Artimino (with the famous Medici Villa “of the hundred chimneys”), Montespertoli, Montecatini Terme, Collodi (“The Town of Pinocchio” and Villa Garzoni), Signa (with Villa Caruso), Sesto Fiorentino (with the Medici Villa della Petraia), San Gimignano, Volterra, and Certaldo (the town of Boccaccio).
During the summer, breakfast is served on the panoramic terrace overlooking the hills or in the dedicated breakfast room. We are also at your complete disposal to assist with booking museums or guided tours in Florence and other Tuscan art centers.
