Located in the small hamlet of Prataccio (also known as Pradaccio), “Ai piedi del Catria B&B Pradaccio” is an old residence whose walls have stood since the 16th century, the period to which the first pastoral settlements in this area date.
Until the final years of the last century, life in this house followed the rhythms of nature and its close bond with animals, the primary source of livelihood.
Until 70 years ago, in fact, this house was still used as a storage room in one room on the upper floor, as a stable for the breeding of oxen, cows and sheep on the lower floor, and as a dwelling for two family units in the remaining rooms.
Fully restored to its current form in 2022, “Ai piedi del Catria B&B Pradaccio” has preserved the authentic character of the historic residence, enhancing original elements such as the rustic exposed wooden beam ceilings present in all rooms.
The property offers its guests three spacious separate bedrooms with private bathrooms, private parking, a collection of books in each room, a large kitchen where breakfasts are served and where guests can relax with a herbal tea or a coffee, perhaps while watching the fireplace lit throughout the winter season, a ground-floor room dedicated to yoga and meditation practice, and a small private garden at the front with mountain views.
