Houses that are not located directly on the road are becoming increasingly rare. Places that can only be reached by walking a few steps are free from cars and noise. A short stepped mule track, passing through the small historic center of Oro, descends from the road to the balcony above the lake where the House of Swallows stands.
It is a very old dwelling in a small village along the Wayfarer's Path. It overlooks a green slope about 100 meters above the lake shore and offers, from every room, a breathtaking view.
