The Maison Degas, an ideal starting point for a cultural and emotional stay...

A small and cozy facility strategically located in Piazza del Gesu' Nuovo, now a pedestrian island, which has always been considered the gateway to the ancient center of Naples, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco: a particular treasure chest that tells about 3000 years of history. You will find us on the 3rd floor of the 500esque Palazzo Pignatelli di Monteleone, now a National Monument.

An 'inscription on the right side of the portal of the prestigious Palace, donated in 1996 by the French Institute Grenoble', recalls that here, in the 1800s, lived the family of HILAIRE GERMAN EDGAR DEGAS (1834-1917) and that the great French impressionist painter and sculptor himself lived and worked here. The Maison Degas dimora de charme is the ideal solution for slow and cultural travelers, families and small traveling groups, business clients, traveling workers, for smart working solutions of the duration of a day, a week, a month. The rooms are bright, spacious and furnished in modern style, equipped with every comfort and services sanitized daily, with a plus represented by the super fast and free wifi 4. 0 connection and free SKY BUSINESS in every room and in the breakfast room and meeting point.

Depending on availability, it is possible to request a room that directly overlooks the charming Piazza del Gesu' Nuovo and therefore offers thus an excellent view from above, or an interior room with a view of the courtyard and rooftops. In addition, the meeting room is an ideal solution for meetings/classroom/team building; small meetings sales networks (services: reception desk; wifi 4. 0 connection; sound system and microphone; flat-screen TV; independent air conditioning and heating; video projector, laptops, fax/scanner/photocopying service)

A 5-minute walk from the facility you can reach the subway and funicular stations, which connect the upper part of the city, the vomero district and the hospital and university area. And what about the proximity of the city's top museum, university, music and theater facilities: a short walk and you can reach the important National Archaeological Museum, the historic S. Pietro a Majella Conservatory, the San Carlo theater and other treasures, always captivated by the charms of historic palaces, precious and understated architecture, castles, and pulsating craft stores. The proximity of the Churches of Gesu' Nuovo (which houses the relics of Saint Giuseppe Moscati) and the Museum complex of S. Chiara that both overlook the square, offers the most varied solutions, in daytime and nighttime, for guests and protagonists of events such as weddings, baptisms, graduation sessions and pilgrimages.

We intend to make the guest feel the warm atmosphere of home, suggesting the recreational and cultural appointments

that the city offers (events, congresses, exhibitions, concerts, shows, etc.), with special attention to the significant artistic craft tradition of Naples capital of the kingdom, the artistic contemporaneity and the typicality of the products of Neapolitan and Campanian food and wine.

Those who choose us are, above all, guests who deserve attention!
