The house is located in a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL), accessible only to residents and authorized vehicles. To avoid fines and inconvenience, follow these tips:
Wear Comfortable Shoes: The streets of the historic center are made up of stairs, alleys and stones, so be prepared to walk.
Parking and Transportation Options:
Paid Parking Near the ZTL: Find paid parking (€1. 00 per hour) on Via Santo Stefano, Via Pentasuglia, or Via Gattini. From there, walk to the apartment by following the signs to La Nicchia nel Sasso restaurant.
Recommended Parking on Via Saragat: Leave your car on Via Saragat, where there is a large paid city parking lot (€0. 50 per hour) with about 500 spaces. From there, take the shuttle that runs every 30 minutes and get off at the Sant'Agostino stop (stop number 4). Walk about 300 meters to the apartment, next to La Nicchia nei Sassi restaurant.
Transportation Alternatives: After parking in Via Saragat, you can call a cab or the shuttle (A/R about 30€) that will take you directly to the house.
Agreement with Garage Autorimessa Damasco: Located at Via XX Settembre, 5, 75100 Matera MT, a 10-minute walk from the house. Set up Google Maps for the restaurant La Nicchia nei Sassi. Secure parking is available upon request (€20 per day). A shuttle service from the garage to the house is available on request.
