Description
Aura is a small family-run establishment that offers 2 charming apartments right in the main street of the historic center of Castiglione del Lago.

The first-floor apartment "Garbino" has two windows overlooking the village, a spacious living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen, a large bedroom with high ceilings and exposed beams, and a bathroom.

The attic second-floor apartment "Aquilone" has a large skylight that illuminates all the rooms. It consists of a spacious living room with a sofa bed, a kitchen, two double bedrooms, and a bathroom. This apartment is equipped with air conditioning.

Furnished with care and functional in their spaces, they are the perfect location for both short and long stays.

On the ground floor and under the same management, the restaurant L'Acquario, the oldest restaurant in the village, offers discounts on the à la carte menu to guests of the establishment.

The family-run restaurant L'Acquario has always been committed to a local cuisine, mostly traditional with a touch of creativity for a contemporary twist. The cuisine is typical Umbrian cuisine with a special love for lake fish and border cuisine. The menu is seasonal and always includes aromatic herbs and flowers from our garden.

For over 30 years, my family and I have been managing a traditional cuisine restaurant (L'Acquario Restaurant) and these 2 apartments in the historic center of Castiglione del Lago.

"Aura" is located along the main street of the historic center, just a few steps away from the Corgna Palace and the Medieval Fortress.

Within a 5-minute walk, you can easily reach the port from where you can set off to discover the islands of Trasimeno. Equally close are equipped beaches and a relaxing lakeside promenade.

Castiglione del Lago is one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" and is centrally located in relation to the main cities to visit: Perugia, Assisi, Spello, as well as Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Pienza, and San Casciano dei Bagni.

Very very nice and comfortable apartment on the main street of the historical center of Castiglione del Lago. The owner, Viola, is very kind and helpful. The restaurant managed by the same family located just below the apartment is also excellent. I will come back and will definitely recommend it.

I stayed with my family in the Garbino apartment and we had a great time. Clean, well-kept, and the manager was very friendly and kind. Located in a very convenient location close to services. Well furnished and equipped with everything you need.

The Aura Kite Attic where we stayed is very interesting because it is located in the heart of Castiglione del Lago, from where you can easily reach many Umbrian and Tuscan locations. Well-renovated apartment, quiet, with a kitchen/living area and two spacious bedrooms with excellent mattresses and pillows, and spacious wardrobes. The significant heat during our vacation days did not have negative impacts thanks to the well-functioning air conditioning system. The bathroom is windowless, but with a good ventilation system and a spacious shower. Viola is a very kind and attentive hostess to her guests. Recommended.

We stayed last year and this year. This hotel is amazing. Comfortable, clean, and close to restaurants, bars, and shops. Ilio was a very kind man. The restaurant downstairs is delicious. Thank you very much.

My husband, my daughter who is 3 years old and I stayed at the Aura B&B for two days and we had a great time. The apartment is very nice, has large spaces and is equipped with a crib and children's books. The stroller could be easily left at the bottom of the stairs. Viola welcomed us with great availability and sweetness. We felt pampered. The restaurant below the B&B is excellent! Castiglione sul lago is a little gem, even more interesting during the Tulip Festival (end of April)! We will be back.

Viola la proprietaria è colta e professionale. Empatica riesce ad entrare in sintonia con il cliente che si sente accolto ‘a casa’ anche nel ristorante Acquario della stessa proprietà. Ottimo.

Consigliatissimo. Posto incantevole, personale meraviglioso, abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte io, mio marito e i nostri due cani siamo stati trattati divinamente colazione abbondante e il ristorante ottimo. Ritorneremo sicuramente. Grazie di tutto.

Abbiamo purtroppo terminato ieri la nostra vacanza a Castiglione del Lago. Abbiamo dormito nell'appartamento arcobaleno del B&B. AURA. Tutto veramente meraviglioso, appartamento comodo e bello in pieno centro storico di Castiglione del Lago. Colazione abbondante con brioche torte e dolcetti fatti in casa presso il ristorante Acquario dei gestori del B&B e se deciderete di mangiare presso lo stesso ristorante (buonissimo) avrete uno sconto del 10% Questo paesino é una vera bomboniera ed é un punto di sosta ottimale per chi vuole visitare L'Umbria. Un ringraziamento grande ancora a Viola e alla sua famiglia per tutti i consigli, per la gentilezza e la disponibilità. Ci torneremo Sicuramente.

Ho soggiornato presso il B&B Aura dal 27 al 29 maggio con mio marito e mia figlia e siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi sia per la gentilezza e la disponibilità dei gestori, sia per l'appartamento in cui abbiamo soggiornato, molto spazioso e curato nei minimi particolari, situato nel cuore del paese. Merita un apprezzamento particolare anche il ristorante dei gestori: tutte pietanze fresche e servizio eccellente! Torneremo di sicuro!

B&B ottimo, struttura molto carina e finemente arredata, molto ben curato, si un po poco illuminata ma non è stato assolutamente un problema, la proprietaria Viola molto disponibile e gentile, la colazione non era fatta solo di fette biscottate ma anche di altre cose, potevamo pure scegliere se volevamo dolce o salato. Lo consiglio vivamente Complimenti.

Appartamento molto accogliente, situato in un antico edificio incastonato nell'atmosfera antica e suggestiva di Castiglione del Lago. Ottimo il ristorante (L'Acquario) ubicato nello stesso edificio. In due serate all'anno si cena a lume di candela: romanticissimo! Ah, dimenticavo: i gestori di B&B e ristorante sono simpatici e molto ospitali.

Se si potesse darei un 20 o + per l'ospitalità, discreta ma al tempo stesso familiare! super viola ci ha coccolati e fatti sentire come a casa! l'appartamento è molto bello, spazioso e funzionale in posizione ideale all'interno del borgo di Castiglione del Lago, un gioiello da non perdere! se proprio dovessi trovare un difetto direi che l'appartamento è poco illuminato da lampade e lampadari (vedo poco e per me la luce è fondamentale!) il ristorante l'acquario è molto accogliente e offre cucina locale tradizionale e recuperata da antiche ricette etrusche (in occasione di serate dedicate).
