Hey from Giovanni

I prefer to write down below a couple of reviews made by my guests.

- The host welcomes you with elegance, charm and discretion, carefully managing every aspect of the hotel and the stay of its guests, managing to make them feel almost at home, including our little dog was fine.

The owner Giovanni is very friendly and speaks perfect French!
To welcome you, dear John that we now have the good fortune to be able to consider a friend, so intense were the days (a few, unfortunately) spent together. In the end, come to think, guest house and seem to have the same temperament!
John, Wonderful host, along with his wife manages the Case Zuccaro making guests feel at home, "Home sweet home".

- I found a great willingness and kindness of the owners, who made me feel at home.

We are located in Trecastagni, an ancient and quiet village at 600 mt of altitude, on the slopes of the Etna. It is the ideal place for excursions to the volcano since it lies half way along the road between the Mountain and the legendary Riviera dei Ciclopi (20 minutes drive) where one can also have a swim in the beautiful waters of the Jonio Sea. We are 15 km from Catania (a half-hour drive), also the same distance from the airport of Fontanarossa; 35 km from Taormina and 6 km from the toll and the Catania bypass, from which one can easily reach many interesting tourist sites of East Sicily (Taormina, Siracusa, Noto, Piazza Armerina and the baroque towns of the Ragusa area) on a day trip.

It is one of the most beautiful Bed and Breakfasts I have stayed at, with quiet rooms overlooking a magnificent and lush garden. Mr. Giovanni, a person of rare courtesy, a stay I will never forget, thank you so much!

Giovanni is a friendly and efficient host. The rooms are spacious and welcoming, and the house evokes ancient memories and has a beautiful garden. Breakfast is served in a pavilion in the garden. A must-try are the delicious homemade citrus jams.

Mr. Giovanni, a very cheerful and friendly person, welcomes you to his home, just a few steps from the center of Trecastagni, a villa with a large park and green spaces. Excellent opportunity to park inside. The breakfast, in a dedicated area in the park, weather permitting, is truly pleasant, good homemade jams and preserves, nice to find fresh bread on the table (not always available in B&B), I would only increase the variety of choices for those who enjoy a savory breakfast (but it's a personal opinion). Excellent location for visiting nearby towns and Mount Etna park. Clean and welcoming room. The air conditioner is a bit old-fashioned and noisy, but you get used to it...

Well-organized and clean structure. The owner is a very kind, helpful, and very friendly person. My family and I had a great time, the food is excellent and the owner is a great cook. I recommend it to people of quality who know how to appreciate good taste, courtesy, and good cuisine. The structure is welcoming and comfortable.

We had a short but very sweet stay at Case Zuccaro. Giovanni and his lovely wife were the perfect hosts and showed us around this lovely 18th C. home. After a hard day's trek on Mount Etna and a stroll around the lovely garden he prepared us a fabulous meal as we chatted in a cosy, relaxed setting with local wine, limoncello and fruits and veg to hand. What more could you ask for. The rooms are attached to the main house and each have their own entrance, which is great as you are free to come and go without disturbing anyone else and there is a place o the grounds to park. The only slight negative is the blind exit onto a main road as you leave the property but if there are two of you one can hop out of the car and check that the coast is clear which it generally was. Lastly the breakfast was to die for. Warm cornettos, fresh bread and rolls from the bakery, Giovanni's homemade jams. If your planning on visiting Etna (which is spectacular) or the wonderful Greek Amphitheatre in Taormina (30mins by car) do stop at Casa Zuccaro you won't regret it.
