The B&B is at the 3° floor without elevator, we advice light luggage.

Hello everyone! My name is Marco and I run a wonderful bed and breakfast in the heart of Venice. Our property opened back in 2002, when I decided to return to the family home where I grew up after a long corporate career. The idea of opening a B&B came from my desire to bring new life to this beautiful Venetian house after the rest of my family had moved away from the city.

Since then, I have turned my passion for hospitality into a way of life, deepening my knowledge through specialized courses in Bed and Breakfast management and always focusing on genuine human connection and authentic experiences.

Today, our Bed and Breakfast is a warm and welcoming place where every guest can feel at home. We only have three rooms and we live on the property ourselves, allowing us to offer truly personal hospitality and direct contact with our guests. We love sharing tips, stories, and hidden corners of Venice, helping our visitors experience the city from the inside, like true Venetians.

Since I traveled alone and for the first time in Venice, staying at B&B San Marco of Alice & Marco was the best choice I could make. My experience wouldn't have been the same in a hotel or Airbnb. I really appreciated their hospitality, the interactions we had, and the advice they shared to experience Venice in a different way. I thank them for that. The room is cozy, the bed is comfortable, the view from the balcony is beautiful and so peaceful at night. I would like to keep this place a secret but I have to strongly recommend it to travelers who want to experience Venice while connecting to Venetian people.

This is an authentic Bed and Breakfast where you can stay and interact with the host family in the family home. You may also have the opportunity to meet and enjoy other guests and hear about their travels. Our experience was priceless as we were able to learn about a side of Venice that one would not be exposed to staying at a typical hotel or inn.

We enjoyed our stay in B&B San Marco, it is really well located, especially for somebody who comes to Venice for the first time. A small supermarket a few steps away, very comfortable beds, nice view from the small balcony, a private bathroom, full privacy. The breakfast was an option but we did not use it - it is not possible to indicate it in the scoring.

It’s a lovely place. Our hosts are really kind but we didn’t see them every day. Our bedroom was beautiful and very cozy with a canal view. For breakfast, we had to buy near our accommodation to have yogurt, fruits, and cereals. We will come back. The location is perfect to visit Venice. Thanks a lot Alice and Marco. This place is perfectly placed to view all major sites, St Mark's Square and Rialto Bridge just 9 minutes walk. Instructions on how to reach the property are second to none. The only downside is the flight of steps to reach the 3rd floor, so if you have mobility problems then this place and Venice are not for you. There is a mini supermarket 30 yards from the property which is very handy.

No need to look further as this IS THE ONE for you! The hosts are so pleasant and he helped me with my heavy bag up flights of stairs. The view from the balcony room is incredible and took many photos. It doesn’t matter that the balcony room doesn’t have bathroom because it’s right next door. There’s a great supermarket just 2 mins away with everything you need. You also have a little fridge to use. Location is great and only 7 mins walk to St Marco ferry stop and no bridges. The bed is sooo comfy and pillows same. Bathroom is huge. Definitely value for money in Venice!

Staying at B&B San Marco is like being at your own home! Alice took some time upon our arrival to explain on the map of Venice the best places and areas to visit, eat, etc. It has been a pleasure to stay at this accommodation! Very well located, overlooking one of the canals and the house is very nice.

Great location, courtesy from the manager. Unfortunately, perhaps due to the manager's commitments during the days we were at B&B San Marco, breakfast was well below expectations: expired jam, day-old bread, long-life milk, and only one croissant for three people over three days. Much room for improvement.

I highly recommend this B&B for several reasons: it is right in the center very close to piazza San Marco, it is economical compared to the standards, the rooms are spacious and clean. Fantastic room with balcony overlooking the canal directly. The breakfast is plentiful and varied and above all it is a moment to socialize with the other guests of the structure. As Neapolitans, we prepared coffee for a couple from Taiwan, who greatly appreciated it. The owner of the structure is really friendly and willing to provide all the necessary information. The bathroom is shared only for 2 rooms, and personally in 4 days I have never found it occupied. Downstairs there is a supermarket where you can buy something for lunch at a low price. Nearby there is Rosso Pomodoro that makes real Neapolitan pizza. If I were to return to Venice, I would definitely stay there.
