Hello there! My name is Elisa, and I am 46 years old. I have a husband named Carmelo and two children, Francesco and Veronica. My family has always had a passion for hospitality! Friends, whether near or far, have always known that they could find a place at our table and a pillow to rest their head at any time. I feel fortunate because I have been able to turn my passion into my daily work, and it has been wonderful to open the doors of my ancestors' home (the Cicogna family) to those who want to be our guests, trying to make their memories of Siena a little more special.
Together with my mother Cecilia (daughter of Maria Cicogna, my grandmother), we have followed the renovation works of the Residenza day by day. We have chosen the fabrics for the blankets and curtains and have searched for furniture and objects in antique markets that could properly furnish our rooms, taking care of every detail. And 13 years ago, we opened this bed and breakfast to all those who want to be our guests.
At the reception, you will find me (Elisa) and my longtime friend Ilaria. We will always be ready to welcome you with a smile and the desire to make you discover and love our city. Our other two friends, Silvia and Enrica, will take care of your room every day. We are waiting for you!

Welcome to Antica Residenza Cicogna, the winter residence of the Cicogna family (my ancestors), located in the heart of Siena's historical center. Just a few steps away from Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, and the main museums and monuments of the city, as well as the Stadium (whose parking lot is a reference point for us Sienese), the bus terminal (Piazza Gramsci), and the Medicean Fortress.
If you're arriving by train, the station is just 2 km away from us. A tip for those coming from Rome with public transportation: taking the bus (Siena) is the best option.
If you're arriving by car, you can park in front of our door to unload your luggage before parking your car in the free parking spots around the Medicean Fortress or in a secure garage that we have an agreement with (18.00 euro/24h), located 300 meters away from us. We will inform the traffic police of your transit in the ZTL.
If you're arriving by train, the station is just 2 km away from us. A tip for those coming from Rome with public transportation: taking the bus (Siena) is the best option.

Very familiar atmosphere with great quality of service, very clean and attentive to the small details. Very central and also close to the intercity bus stop, while being quiet. I would gladly repeat.

Antica Residenza Cicogna is a charming property with lovely hosts. I stayed in the Liberty Room and enjoyed quiet nights with good sleep. The renovations to this old mansion are stylish while bringing in the modern conveniences of great plumbing, wifi, and air conditioning. There are no elevators in this building, so be sure you are good with stairs. This is a fabulous location in the old town, walkable to the main sites of old Siena. And I can't say enough about the hosts, who made me feel very welcome.

Elisa is a wonderful host. We woke up late and she kept the breakfast out for us. The room was super cute and charming. The bathroom was very well equipped. It’s located centrally. We would love to visit Antica Residenza Cicogna again.

Stately rooms with truly impeccable cleanliness. Availability and kindness of the staff, polite, always with a smile, always present but never intrusive. Good breakfast with sweet and savory. Great location, pretty and historical. Not particularly luxurious; shower was not good, bed had only one flat pillow per person, and parking was stressful because GPS doesn't work around the area. But, we didn't pick it for luxury and quiet. We picked it to enjoy a historic stay close to everything. :) The hostess was kind and gracious.

This is a very warm property to stay. Kindness and helpfulness of Elise and her assistant beyond expectations. Good air conditioning is a plus. Smaller shower but doable. Highly recommend if you are going to Siena.

Antica Residenza Cicogna was INCREDIBLE. Eliza, the owner/operator, treated my wife and me like family. From calling taxis to helping us learn the historical town of Siena, Elisa played an important role in us having a perfect visit. The facilities were beautiful, clean, and located in the center within walking distance of every sight. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely property. Close to the center with an easy 10 euro cab ride from the train station. The host was very courteous and helpful throughout. We were on the top floor off the main drag, so it was very quiet. Hot water was slow during our visit, but the host seemed sincere about getting it sorted once we left.

The location of the property is strategic, not far from Piazza del Campo. A 10-minute walk away you can find a couple of free parking lots. Friendly and helpful staff, possibility to enter the rooms at any time for access with a pin code at the entrance, which is useful and not taken for granted for a property, small economy rooms but equipped with all necessary comforts, impeccable cleanliness. The only flaws: I would leave the windows of the internal corridors open in the structure to ventilate the environments, upon our arrival the interior had a musty smell, I would add more fresh products to the breakfast buffet, we did not use the service but the quantity of packaged industrial products was visible.

Splendid weekend in a splendid historical residence refined and elegant and cared for in detail and services, we were greeted with courtesy and sympathy by Elisa who also gave us valuable tourist and gastronomic indications, excellent location to comfortably visit the center of Siena. The palace is located right in the center and is therefore extraordinarily convenient. Even parking is not a problem, as you can leave your car outside the walls (10 minutes on foot from Antica Residenza Cicogna) in a large free parking area, yet it is possible to drive up to the door to unload luggage. The 'suite' (a bedroom and another entrance room with a bed) is well-kept, spacious, and very clean, the bathroom is small but equipped with everything needed. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, it was not possible to have breakfast inside the facility. In any case, Antica Residenza Cicogna is highly recommended, also for the kindness and availability of Elisa, an impeccable host.

La struttura è bellissima, camera in stile fiorentino con bagno pulito e nuovo. Personale molto gentile ed accogliente. La posizione è ottima perché in centro storico e a solo 10 minuti a piedi da parcheggio fuori le mura. Colazione al bar di fianco al b&b (una pasta dolce o salata), una bevanda (caffè, o cappuccino o succo di frutta).
Unica nota dolente il wifi funzionante a singhiozzo.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per due notti. Ci siamo trovati molto bene e vorrei davvero consigliarla.
Nei giorni precedenti al nostro attivo Elisa è stata gentilissima e ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie.
La posizione è davvero unica, vicinissima al centro e a piazza del campo e poco distante dai parcheggi.
Il palazzo è davvero spettacolare e credo che solo quello merita davvero un voto eccellente.
Mi è dispiaciuto solo che causa covid la colazione viene offerta nel bar adiacente.
Buonissima soluzione e possibilità di scelta tra dolce e salato, ma mi sarebbe piaciuto poter fare la colazione internamente alla struttura.
Comunque struttura davvero ottima e se tornerò a Siena sicuramente alloggerò ancora in questo meravigliosa struttura.

Ottima accoglienza e massima cortesia. Essendo in zona centralissima e quindi non accessisibile alle auto, abbiamo comunque potuto scaricare il bagaglio davanti a questa splendida dimora e abbiamo parcheggiato l’auto ad una manciata di minuti. La comodità é stata davvero ottima. La proprietà si é dimostrata attenta ai nostri bisogni anche con consigli utili per la visita della città. Da consigliare. Torneremo certamente una prossima volta!

Charming rooms, well located, and helpful host. One drawback is that the WIFI was sporadic but it was a minor issue. Definitely a good value for the room price and a very nice breakfast in a lovely dining room. Try to get out to see the farmland, vineyards and olive orchards of Tuscany. We did a tour which included a winery visit and farm to table meal and it was worth it! not too far from the bus station which helps when traveling.

We had a wonderful stay at Antica Residenza Cicogna. The hosts were extremely helpful and pleasant. The location was very convenient for walking around Siena and to the bus station. I loved the antique ambience of the rooms.

We have never had better service at a hotel or B&B. Owner Elise went above and beyond to assure that we had all of our questions answered and she and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. As well, having a historical family connection makes the property truly special.

Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Io e la mia famiglia siamo stati ospiti di Elisa per 2 notti e ci siamo trovati così bene che abbiamo deciso di fermarci anche la terza notte. La casa è una vera dimora storica, ristrutturata nei minimi particolari: gli affreschi alle pareti e sui soffitti, i pavimenti antichi ed un’occhio attento anche alle comodità. È in pieno centro e comodo per ogni cosa vogliate visitare: le fantastiche finestre insonorizzanti garantiscono un sonno ristoratore, così come i materassi e che dire di Elisa e delle sue collaboratrici: fanno sicuramente la differenza rispetto alle altre strutture. Ve lo consigliamo vivamente.

A beautiful property and quite central to everything you need. The ladies were very helpful and friendly. There are lots of restaurants in the area and we were given a list to help us in our choice. We loved the painted ceiling in our room.
If you close the windows at night they block out all the sound of tourists, church bells and cars.

Abbiamo trascorso il periodo compreso fra il 29 dicembre e il 2 gennaio in questo splendido bed and breakfast situato nel centro di Siena.
La struttura è semplicemente stupenda (si tratta di un'antica abitazione finemente ristrutturata) e la camera molto piacevole.
Abbiamo apprezzato la gentilezza e la disponibilità delle due sorelle che gestiscono la Residenza.
L'ubicazione è eccellente (poche centinaia di metri dalla Piazza del Campo).
Molto consigliato.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo: la struttura, in posizione ottimale, è davvero molto bella, la camera (Liberty) deliziosa e le signore sono gentilissime e prodighe di utili consigli sulla loro meravigliosa città. Our stay at this bed and breakfast was a delight. Centrally located it allowed us to pause during our sight seeing day for a relaxing break. Ilyssa and Iliana were helpful hosts answering any questions we had. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely book another time. It is a lovely building.

Vacanza e location splendida, al centro del centro, a pochi passi da Piazza del Campo e dal Duomo. Abbiamo avuto a disposizione un'intera suite, la suite dei ricami. Antica Residenza Cicogna è stato il luogo perfetto per un indimenticabile weekend a Siena.
Centralissimo, a due passi dalla via principale, è sito in residenza storica con arredo in stile senza rinunciare al comfort. La mia camera era un sogno in verde con baldacchino e pareti affrescate; il bagno privato era delizioso e fornitissimo.
Una sala comune adiacente é a disposizione degli ospiti per un té o cantucci con vinsanto self-service.
La colazione a buffet offre una vasta scelta di dolce e salato, nonché frutta, yogurt e cereali; in più il personale gentilissimo ci ha preparato un ottimo cappuccino di soia.
Dettaglio non trascurabile: abbiamo dormito come bambini.

We spent a great holiday in Sienna. The B&B is close to the center (5 minutes walk to the palazzo publico). The hosts are really nice and available. And if you are lucky, you will see some events like the Saint Caterine's day, with all the contrada's flag in the streets.
I strongly recommend B&B Cigogna.

Che dire? Siamo stati molto bene.
Una chicca: in una via vicina c'è un localino jazz dove la sera si suona fino a tardi a porte aperte. A parte che dalla nostra camera, molto vicina, non si sentiva quasi, comunque c'erano in dotazione confezioni di tappi per le orecchie.
Acqua, tè, vin santo e cantuccini nel salottino disponibili sempre.

Ottimo hotel, un palazzo antico adibito a B&B con soffitti affrescati, camere molto ampie, molto pulito, attenzione speciale.
La colazione un po' basica, però con tutto l'essenziale.
C'e una stanza comune dove si puo prendere caffe, molte varieta di the, acqua, cantucci e vin santo.
La posizione e ottima.

Très bon rapport qualité prix, B&B très bien placé très central, le petit déjeuner y est très bon. Lieu très chaleureux dans lequel on se sent tout de suite bien. Il était un peu difficile d'être à deux en même temps dans la salle de bain qui était étroite et toute en longueur.

Beautifully restored B&B, very close to the Piazza del Campo yet the neighborhood was quiet at night. Elisa and staff were very pleasant and courteous. The breakfast spread had a large variety of items and was delicious, especially the cappuccinos.

My husband and I were delighted with the Antica Residenza Cicogna. We'd love to return. It was in a perfect location for exploring Siena on foot. Ubicazione eccellente in centro città, ma allo stesso tempo silenziosa (addirittura parallela agli elegantissimi Banchi di sopra, cuore pulsante della città).
