La Maison Hippolyte

Left bank, in the south of the city, that's where the House Hippolyte is located. A ten minutes walk and you are in the marvellous Jardin du Luxembourg or at the Tour Montparnasse from the top of which you'll enjoy the most spectacular view of Paris. Thirty minutes, by metro or bus, and you are at some of Paris' best attractions: Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Notre-Dame, Beaubourg…

But let's come back to our district. Maison Hippolyte is located in a very quiet little street, the one where Giacometti lived. Montparnasse is famous for its artists who are well known all over the world: the painters Modigliani and Gauguin, the singers Georges Brassens and Paco Ibanez, the writers Jacques Prévert and Jean-Paul Sartre…

Around Maison Hippolyte are many small museums, theatres and publishing houses, the famous street market in rue Daguerre, Galeries Lafayette and an incredible concentration of restaurants: French of course, from modest to very famous ones, but also Italian, Greek, Libanese, Indian,
Japonese, Tibetan…

Maison Hippolyte is a large apartment, situated on the fifth and sixth floors of a building that was built of pink bricks about one century ago. From there you can see a marvellous show: the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night. The building has a lift.

Your bedroom ? Large, full of light, confortable and fully independent with its own entrance on the fifth floor. It has a large double bed and very soft and harmonious decor, pale coloured old furniture and there is a small table as found in Parisian cafes.
Next to it is the bathroom, light as well, decorated in blue and white. Bath or shower ? You have a choice, there is both. The toilet is separate.

Your breakfast will be served in the common dining-room on the sixth floor. It will be copious and carefully prepared, so that you'll feel energetic to go sight-seeing Paris. Fresh and Crisp breads, home made cakes and marmalades, yoghurt, compote, fruit juice and of course a choice of hot beverages including the famous teas from the Palais des Thes.
