The Codirosso estate is a young farm, nestled in a 100-hectare forest (completely enclosed) atop the hills of the upper Val di Cecina.
The owners, Emanuela and Giuseppe, hail from Milan but spent several years abroad before settling in this Tuscan paradise. They run the business with love and great passion.
The agriturismo features three suites with kitchenettes and five double rooms, all meticulously designed and heated year-round. The materials and furnishings used are entirely natural, and the accommodations are equipped with every comfort, including Wi-Fi and satellite TV.
The farm’s commitment to organic and sustainable practices is also reflected in its dining offerings, which utilize exclusively self-produced or locally sourced ingredients. This is made possible through a local organization of producers and farmers who utilize renewable and eco-friendly energy in their food production and processing.
The restaurant also offers vegetarian dishes and features a menu with local cured meats, as well as meat and fish (strictly fresh). It is open to outside guests by reservation on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
A unique feature of the agriturismo, along with the forest trails that can be enjoyed year-round, is the large pool designed with eco-friendly principles, providing a tranquil space to relax in an untouched, serene environment.
Additionally, the estate serves as a wildlife rehabilitation center, housing approximately 120 animals (some wild and others domesticated), all rescued and protected within the forest.
Situated between Follonica and Volterra, the agriturismo overlooks the sea, offering spectacular sunset views from both the rooms and the restaurant, with a panorama stretching from Corsica to the island of Elba.
The estate's central location allows for quick access to beaches and all the main tourist destinations in Tuscany.
Open year-round by reservation, the Codirosso estate also hosts numerous events and courses.
