The house is the historical heritage of the Vecchi family, and is owned by the nota Cava di Montovolo dating back to 1835 and 1972. It was founded in 1835 by the Pregiata Pietra di Montovolo for the building of the Rocchetta Mattei and the palaces, bridges and decorations of Bologna and the province.
