The B&B Papavero Giallo welcomes its guests in the heart of Le Castella, featuring a modern establishment that blends hospitality with style. On the ground floor, you'll find the reception area, a cozy bar, and an elegant restaurant where breakfast is served in the morning, and throughout the day, you can enjoy traditional Calabrian and Mediterranean dishes. The upper floor houses six rooms, which are divided into double, triple, and quadruple accommodations, all carefully decorated and equipped with every comfort to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay.
The establishment is run by Mauro and Lorenzo, two young brothers from Le Castella who are passionately dedicated to the tourism industry. Mauro actively promotes the local area, while Lorenzo has pursued university studies in tourism. The kitchen is overseen by their father, Chef Maurizio, who brings years of experience and passion to the table from a lifetime spent in the culinary field.
Le Castella is a charming fishing village overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Capo Rizzuto Marine Protected Area. Its coastline features a mix of sandy stretches and rugged cliffs, offering breathtaking views. A symbol of the village is the striking Aragonese Fortress, built in the 15th century to protect the coast from Turkish invasions, and today standing as one of Calabria's most iconic monuments.
From here, you can embark on a journey to explore a region rich in history and nature: the archaeological site of the Temple of Hera Lacinia, Santa Severina with its medieval castle, the Regional Park of Valli Cupe featuring canyons and spectacular waterfalls, and the Sila National Park. Additionally, in under two hours, you can reach Reggio Calabria, home to the Riace Bronzes, and Tropea, famous for its beaches and the Costa degli Dei.
