For the price - perfect. Nicola is a helpful and informative host. The bed was relatively comfy, the rooms are spacious, not the cleanest - but not the dirtiest. Breakfast was OK, could have done with some fruit + veg perhaps but loved the selection regardless.

Nicola was a very good host and the Oceano Mare B&B was incredible. Very clean, in a great location and comfortable!

We had a great time at this property! It is located in a very quiet but strategic area: on foot or by vaporetto we explored Venice far and wide. A superb Bed and Breakfast! Very quiet, close to the center of Venice, to book without hesitation.

Cheap, necessary comfort but deserves an effort on the humidity, crumbling walls.

It's very nice and very comfortable Oceano Mare B&B located a decent walk away from the main crowds surrounding San Marco Square, making it quiet and low-key. Even though it is a bit of a walk, it is close to San Marco Square and two vaporetto stops, making it easy to get around. Nicola, the owner, was great and gave us useful tips and recommendations. I would definitely come back here again. Thank you Nicola and the team.

The three of us had an excellent stay in Venice in October 2023. The property was in a convenient location near the Grand Canal, which made it easy to reach from Marco Polo airport or Santa Lucia train station. The area was quiet and peaceful, which made a nice change as other parts of Venice can be really busy with tourists. Inside, the property was tidy, clean and comfortable. Our triple suite had pleasant views over the local area and both the bedrooms were a good size. Nicola was helpful and gave us some excellent recommendations for local restaurants - the best food I have had in Venice. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend to others.

Great host, was very helpful to me even though, because of unavoidable circumstances, was not available in person. The staff on hand were very nice, in any case. Everything inside was very clean and the area and building quite charming and authentic. The location is very convenient (near Arsenale) for seeing the sights, so time and money saved that way.

I highly recommend this property as it has a very strategic location to visit Venice, in a very quiet area but still 10 minutes walk from the center, owner very helpful and kind. Very adequate quality price. The structure is a bit dated but still very clean and well organized.

It is really a very cute accommodation, the location is unbeatable, the landlord is very attentive and the room is absolutely quiet. It is highly recommended.

Great, intimate hotel with breakfast available all day. Clean rooms, with private bathroom. Quiet, calm. Very comfortable beds. Off the beaten track, but very close to the center. I recommend it to everyone. If I'm ever in Venice again, I will definitely go back there.

I am really happy I stayed there, Nicola was wonderful and very accommodating. The rooms are spacious and the Oceano Mare B&B is priced fairly in my opinion. Our rooms were cleaned almost every day and we really enjoyed our stay. The BnB is close to the Biennale and in a less touristy area so it felt like home, and I'll definitely stay there again every time I visit Venice. Thank you Nicola.

Our host (Nicola) could not be present, but his management/communications (via WhatsApp in our case) were second to none! His local tips were fantastic. \n\nWe liked that the location is away from the hustle & bustle. The cold, self-serve, unscheduled breakfast also suited us very well. The automated coffee machine worked very well. \n\nWe met a fellow countryman that was now at his 4th stay. That in itself says something!

Very welcoming and personalized structure by the owner: at the entrance there is a battery and a collection of frogs that bring a lot of joy and color. The owner Nicola is an extremely kind and helpful person. The room where we stayed was small but functional. The location of the structure is excellent: in a few minutes you reach Piazza San Marco. The only flaw found was the sink that leaked a little water from below and the faucet not perfectly functional. Recommended for those who do not have high demands, want to spend little (considering the prices in Venice) and want to be a few steps from the center and fully enjoy the city.

The Oceano Mare B&B is actually a hidden gem with only 4 rooms, a small family-run hotel. The landlord is always on hand with many useful tips. I can only recommend it.

Very polite and helpful manager, attentive and caring. Excellent directions provided for routes, means of transport, dining points, etc. The continuous availability of the breakfast point inside the structure is highly appreciated. Congratulations to Nicola!

This was my second time staying at Océano Mare and I look forward to the next time. Nicola is warm, flexible, has a good life story, and helpful in orienting to Venice, plus he's a great musician. This location is quiet and feels more local than much of Venice, it's especially perfect for the Biennale. Rooms are quiet and restful and I was very happy there for this stay.

Comfortable and clean rooms, the property is located in a quiet place but well connected to the center. It feels like home, Nicola is an exceptional person, friendly and helpful; he came to pick us up at the arrival of the vaporetto and during the stay he helped us by promptly responding to all our needs. Ruhig und dennoch zentral im Sestiere Castello gelegen. Nicola ist da, sollte man ihn brauchen, ansonsten lässt er einen in Ruhe und ich fühlte mich ganz Zuhause. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und gepflegt und ich war rasch an den beiden Vaporetti-Stationen Arsenale und Celestia. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt in Venedig sehr genossen und werde beim nächsten Mal wieder dieses B&B wählen.

Our stay at Oceano Mare B&B was a pleasant one. We were unable to contact Nicola ahead of time to arrange a meeting point, but he magically swooped in to save us from the mazes of Venice as we were searching for the place. Great location, close to the action but in a very quiet pocket. Rooms and bathrooms were modest, but I thought it had great value.

Ottima struttura posizione strategica. Colazione abbondante e varia.

In occasione della visita alla Biennale di architettura 2016 ho scelto questo B&B per la vicinanza alle sedi espositive e l'ho trovato in internet, sulla mappa, perché conoscevo già la città. Si tratta di una bella struttura, in una posizione comodamente servita dalle linee dei vaporetti, in un sito molto silenzioso ma accessibile senza difficoltà ed in piena sicurezza, ottimamente illuminato di notte. Il B&B è vicino anche a Piazza S. Marco comodamente raggiungibile a piedi. La mia era una camera standard, piccolina ma accogliente, con il bagno privato completamente accessoriato e con finestra verso una corte interna. Ho molto apprezzato la doppia porta tra ingresso e camera a formare un piccolo disimpegno con la porta del bagno (che consente una maggiore privacy). L'accoglienza dei proprietari è ottima e discreta, disponibili ad aiutare e venire incontro a tutte le esigenze e a dare tutte le indicazioni per muoversi in città. Per la colazione oltre alle macchinette per i caffè, cappuccini, cioccolate, ecc..si trova il tostapane, un frigo con gli affettati, succhi di frutta e yogurt, dei cestini con marmellate varie e frutta fresca. Inoltre varie torte fresche e molto buone sono sempre a disposizione degli ospiti. Cosa non da poco il fatto che il proprietario, Nicola, viene ad accogliere gli ospiti alla fermata del vaporetto e li accompagna, indicando i punti di riferimento principali lungo il percorso affinchè ognuno sia poi in grado di orientarsi autonomamente (e a Venezia non è certo una cosa da sottovalutare !).

We loved staying here. The host is very friendly - meets you from the vaporetto so you don't get lost, and when you get there he gave us a drink, food, a map and some great recommendations for things to do, things to see, and places to eat! The room was very clean and air conditioned, with its own fridge and wifi. The placement is great, I think. It's on a very quiet, small road in a not- touristy part of the city, but within 10 minutes walk, you're nearly at St Mark's and everything you could want. We came home every evening and had a hot chocolate and some toast - it's a lovely homely place and I would certainly come back!

Charmante petite maison, dans quartier habité par des vénitiens, très bien située, tout en étant à l'écart de l'agitation et des touristes. Propriétaire sympathique, pas du tout envahissant, avec de très bonnes adresses resto. Petit-déjeuner simple, pain italien (qui n'a rien à voir avec le pain à la française malheureusement!), viennoiseries industrielles, yogurt et qq fruits. Y retournerions sans autre.

Nicola est venu nous chercher à l'embarcadère de l'Arsenale dès notre arrivée pour nous accompagner à son B&B puis nous a servi une petite collation. Ensuite, il a monté les valises à notre chambre. Nicola est très attentionné avec ses clients, il nous a montré et tracé sur une carte les endroits intéressants à découvrir à Venise. Il parle italiano-anglais c'est très charmant ! Il est toujours souriant et agréable, toujours prêt à nous rendre service. Et en plus, il est joignable 24 h sur 24 h, c'est exceptionnel. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette maison remplie d'une belle énergie d'amour. Nous remercions Nicola pour toute sa gentillesse, c'est un homme chaleureux.

La chambre est tout à fait confortable surtout le lit appréciable après des km de marche dans la ville ! Le B&B est très bien placé proche de la place Saint Marc. Tutto eccellente, dall'accoglienza al soggiorno al momento della partenza. Siamo stati a nostro agio, sempre. Il gestore ha avuto anche la sensibilità di regalare un mazzetto di mimose a tutte le donne ospitate nella struttura.

Conoscevo il BB oceano mare, per le mie esigenze è un BB molto soddisfacente, molto pulito e tranquillo. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Non posso pensare a un posto migliore dove soggiornare per una vacanza a Venezia. Il B&B è in una zona molto tranquilla e una posizione ottima per visitare la Biennale e il centro della città'. La colazione è abbondante e con la possibilità' di avere bevande calde e fredde durante tutto il giorno. Nicola è stato sempre molto disponibile e gentile con noi, dandoci buone raccomandazioni sia per quanto riguarda ristoranti e bar che per luoghi da visitare. L'intera struttura è pulitissima e dotata di aria condizionata. Noi torneremo sicuramente, e la raccomando altamente.

Le stanze sono molto confortevoli; il bagno non è molto grande ma ben organizzato e la doccia veramente ristoratrice..ottima dopo le bellissime passeggiate per questa meravigliosa città pienamente godibile dalla posizione del B&B. I gestori sono molto disponibili. "Very friendly". Ci torneremo.
