Dear ladies and gentlemen, with this message I want to share my negative experience staying at Casa Giuditta located at via Savona number 10, in the Kalsa district of Palermo. I must say that although I had heard about the redevelopment of Kalsa and saw many local venues, bars, and restaurants, the garbage and the war-damaged buildings from World War II are still there, not the fault of the owner. The owner of Casa Giuditta posted misleading photos on the website. It appears to be a beautiful bed and breakfast, but in reality, it does not match the facade of the building where I stayed. I had booked a room with air conditioning, but the owner contacted me via WhatsApp in a strange and unclear manner. After a phone call, I discovered that the booked room was actually intended for students or workers, without air conditioning. He offered me an apartment with an extra charge of €10 per day, emphasizing how lucky I was to have this opportunity. Despite already paying €270 for accommodation only, without breakfast, I accepted the offer. Upon arrival in Palermo, despite my flight delay, the owner did not provide me with accurate directions to reach the property easily. He made me wait for half an hour in the scorching heat, disregarding my circumstances as a tired and disabled traveler. Once in the apartment, he explained things as if I were incapable of understanding, showing a certain antipathy towards the French, describing them in a not very nice way. The property turned out to be dirty, not meeting the expectations of a bed and breakfast. The furniture seemed to come from ancient times, with 54-year-old spring mattresses, no soap, and only one roll of toilet paper for a 10-day stay. The shower was so small as to be uncomfortable, and the facilities caused flooding. Mosquitoes were everywhere, forcing me to buy mosquito repellent products that I would have found in other facilities. In conclusion, ladies and gentlemen, this gentleman's hospitality was disappointing, despite being paid for. Despite the presence of a working air conditioner, the rest of the experience was terrible. I cannot recommend this place.
