Before starting this review, I must mention that I am also a manager of accommodation facilities, so I express an opinion based on experience. The Hotel Concorde externally is very pleasant and close to the sea. The rooms are decent: clean, with aesthetically acceptable furnishings, the double room of the right size, while the triple room is a bit small. The bathrooms are tiny but well equipped, except for the total absence of products for intimate hygiene, a real mystery. I personally did not have breakfast, but my travel companions were quite satisfied. The strength of the structure is the value for money, considering the location on the Riviera during the summer period and the booking made a week before. Now we come to the real sore point, and the reason why I would NEVER return to this facility. On the first day, I had to rush to the hotel as soon as the check-in time allowed, because due to the intense heat, I felt unwell. The manager, despite being informed of the situation, took his time to give me access to the room. Once in the room, I discovered that the air conditioning was electronically limited, preventing me from setting it below 24 degrees. In short, it was not possible to set it below that temperature. I called the manager, who replied that setting it at that temperature would make the room very cold. Two hours passed, and the room temperature did not drop below 28 degrees. Fortunately, the girls in the double room informed me that their air conditioning worked quite well despite the limitation, so I took refuge with them and after a couple of hours of sleep in the cool, I finally recovered. One of my roommates, upon leaving, requested a room change, which was of course denied, arguing that in the evening the room cools down more quickly, and indeed in the evening, with the decreasing external temperature, I was quite comfortable. NOW, I UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING, but in my life I had NEVER experienced (neither as a customer nor from other colleagues) a structure with LIMITED air conditioning, especially during the last weekend of July, with 38 degrees outside. It is fine to want to limit costs, BUT IT IS NOT CONCEIVABLE IN ANY WAY that a guest should suffer like a dog because the air conditioning is limited. A SHAME. I am aware that some guests, when they arrive, turn on all the air conditioners to a minimum and perhaps leave them on when they are not there or when they leave the facility, but these are the CONS OF THE TRADE. No matter how consumerist or poorly educated a guest may be, it is not possible to limit an ESSENTIAL service like air conditioning at the end of July. IT'S NOT POSSIBLE. If I had been able to manage the room temperature as I pleased, I would not have had to suffer for another two hours in those conditions. For these reasons, I do not completely condemn the structure because it would be gratuitous malice to lower the ratings on all items, but one thing is for sure, as a customer, I WILL NEVER SET FOOT THERE AGAIN. L'aria condizionata funziona solo con le finestre chiuse, ma voi la aprivate continuamente bloccando l'impianto. Infatti nella camera delle vostre amiche funzionava perfettamente, perché mi hanno ascoltato.
