Before booking a week-long stay, I asked the lady if I could eat at the property (breakfast, snack, lunch, and dinner) and if I could clean only my intimate garments, to which she agreed, as long as there were barbecues. Upon arrival, the lady in a completely unusual way inspected what I had brought to eat (protein bread as I am an athlete as well as anemic, even though we had agreed that I could cook?). The Russian lady would come day by day to check on me and reprimand me for spilled water or my maniacal way of eating (27-year-old girl alone). In Turin in May (I stayed from May 16 to 23) there were days with autumn temperatures including reaching 10°, for one day she kept it on while on the coldest day she turned it off, shivering from the cold. My worried mother called her asking politely if she could keep it on even for a fee, to which she called me threateningly coming with her daughter and slamming the doors in short to argue, I don't know how it would have ended without the intervention of an older friend of mine. It turned out the boiler was broken, which is why hot water would come out intermittently and cold water (colder outside, colder the shower.. Soviet lager climate) and the thermostat was not inside the room and not up to standard. The lady (if you can call her that) humiliated me multiple times concluding that I was wasting water and gas, but I repeated to her several times that when I called her a month before telling her my needs, she could have easily refused and not deceived me ruining my vacation and scaring my family in Sicily. The lady and her daughter got agitated even trying to tear their clothes and turning all red and approaching me several times to attack.
