Central location near the metro station and a few steps from the Vatican. Terrible cleanliness, we found the trash can in the bathroom still full. Shower full of mold, dust under the beds. Dishes and utensils need to be washed. Sugar, oil, pasta, honey already opened and used by previous guests. It's better not to leave anything. Lack of a bottle of fresh water in the fridge. It would have been a real pleasure. Manager: at the time of booking, I made the instant bank transfer and after a day I tried to contact, through the number on the website, the owner to get confirmation. No response. On the 4th day I contacted customer service to point out that no one was answering that number. After a few minutes, the landlord contacted me and, in a very arrogant manner, told me that I shouldn't have called customer service, that the number on the site was wrong, that it wasn't his fault, and that I shouldn't have disturbed him. And, always in very rude ways, he invited me to cancel the reservation if I wasn't satisfied with his response. I was stunned by such behavior. Check-in: many messages and calls from the manager to know the arrival time. I had already written that I would contact him 1/2 hour before. Nothing. The strengths of the house are: 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms (we were 2 couples), air conditioning in the rooms, and proximity to the Vatican and 4 minutes walk from the metro. It takes little to make a stay pleasant, but that little was not there. Fortunately, Rome is beautiful, and everything else fades into the background.

Renovated apartment in an excellent location to visit Rome. It's a pity about the cleanliness which can definitely be improved, particularly in the kitchen (microwave, cabinets, and some dirty plates) and bathroom (black deposits in the shower and limescale on the faucets). Otherwise, we had a good stay.
