Perfect B&B in the heart of Florence - you can hardly stay more centrally. Less than 5 minutes to the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio. 15 minutes walk from the train station. Great old house, spacious single room, everything very clean and the operator was very nice. Great breakfast and, important in the summer heat: air conditioning. Yes, the room facing the street was a bit noisy - but earplugs are available and those who want absolute silence should not stay in the city center.\nI would book there again anytime. Price-performance ratio is really sensational with early booking.

I have truly enjoyed my stay at Locanda Orchidea, in room 1. Luciano has been kind and welcoming. The Bnb is clean, has a hot shower, the bed is comfortable, and the AC is functioning. The room is much bigger than expected. The location is very good and safe; I was running late for my Uffizi timeslot but it only took 5 minutes when I walked quickly. To and fro the SMN station or piazza were also a breeze. This is my first time booking through bed-and-breakfast.it hence I was worried about the communication, but Luciano was quick in addressing via email. Will definitely stay again. I absolutely loved my stay at Locanda Orchidea Florence. The host, Luciano, was a delight. He was so helpful from the initial reservation all the way through to calling a taxi for me during checkout. The building is historic and charming, yet still has a small elevator, which was vital for me with a knee injury. The room was lovely and extremely clean! The location is great. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the Duomo, the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and other attractions. There are many great restaurants just minutes away on foot. The only small downside is that because of its central location, it is a bit noisy at night (lots of people on the street), so I used earplugs. Otherwise, it was perfect.

I stayed at Locanda Orchidea from 7 to 9 November, with three other friends and I speak on behalf of all four of us. The property is extremely central, close to all places of interest and the Central Station. The rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and equipped with all comforts; the bathrooms are new and spacious. It is worth noting the presence in the room of a kettle with everything needed to prepare a hot drink if needed. Impeccable cleanliness, helpful and very kind staff attentive to every customer's need. Quality breakfast, with a wide variety of products, all delicious. Furthermore, there is the possibility to use in the common areas, at any time of the day and at a truly negligible price: a fridge to buy water bottles and a coffee machine with available capsules. And many more things to list, such as the presence of an elevator, courtesy slippers, mosquito burner (which was not necessary to use), earplugs (also not necessary), TV in the room, silent air conditioners, etc., etc., that make you feel at home. The quality/price ratio was excellent. Everything was perfect, beyond all our expectations. It will be our reference when we return to Florence and to recommend to friends, relatives, and acquaintances… and to all those who read us!

The hotel is decently priced. It's located near a bar neighborhood, but they have used double-layer glass for noise cancellation. The breakfast provided is simple and decent. However, the Wi-Fi on the 3rd floor needs to be improved.

My daughter and I spent 13 wonderful days at Locanda Orchidea. This was my second visit and everything was still perfect: the rooms were beautiful and always impeccable, the service was perfect, the breakfast was ultra abundant and delicious. Our room was large and spacious. The bathroom was very clean and the cleaning staff cleaned the room each day. The host was very kind and accommodating! We loved the location and will be coming back here if we travel again to Florence! I would highly recommend this place! It’s no 5 star hotel, but it is perfect for a few days in Florence.

What can I add if not that everything went very well? Mr. Luciano is an extremely kind and ultra-helpful person; the property is in an excellent location, practically a comfortable 10-minute walk and you are already at the Duomo; everything is extremely clean and always in order. We stayed at Locanda Orchidea for two nights. The location is excellent as it is well connected both to tour the city center and for nightlife. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who immediately talked to us about the available services and showed us our room. As for the latter, we liked it very much as we found it very spacious and with good Florentine-style furniture; the only flaws we found were the pillows too soft, therefore lacking thickness and uncomfortable, the towel rack, as it was rusty, and the plastic soap holder that had a crack, small details that can be improved. Our stay also included a buffet breakfast, which we found very rich and varied. In conclusion, we highly recommend staying at Locanda Orchidea for both the strategic location and the treatment from the owners, and above all for the value for money.

Locanda Orchidea is in a great location for walking in Florence. We had no problem finding our way around to and from the location. There are plenty of restaurants tucked away in the streets surrounding it, and you will have no problem finding anything you came to see. Luciano is a great manager who communicates well with guests and can be seen throughout the day helping others and clearing tables at breakfast. He helped us from check-in to check-out and was very patient with all our questions. The room was cleaned very well and smelled wonderful whenever we returned. We stayed at this 'Locanda Orchidea' for 3 nights and we couldn't have made a better choice. We had been wanting to go to Florence for years and our 'first time' was special thanks to Mr. Luciano and his B&B! Unique professionalism, super attentive in everything. The B&B is very close to the center and we always reached everything on foot (even the station, taking a nice walk). Abundant and varied breakfast, large and comfortable rooms, impeccable cleanliness. We will definitely return.

Excellent location a stone's throw from Santa Croce, clean, spacious and quiet room but above all Mr. Luciano is an added value. Recommendation! In fact, I will definitely come back.

Excellent location behind Piazza Duomo. The landlord is very welcoming and always ready with suggestions and advice. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Highly recommended!

I wouldn't know what else to add to the numerous positive reviews already published by previous users. If I could also give praise to the scores I have expressed (all 10), I would have definitely done so. I only add my personal opinion: there are many structures located favorably for visiting Florence, and then what makes the difference is the professionalism, competence, courtesy, and kindness of Mr. Luciano which I believe is rarely found in other cases. Thank you again for everything and I hope to see you soon.

This property deserves top marks all around. Starting from the availability and kindness of Mr. Luciano, the breakfast excellent and more than abundant with a wide range of choices. Clean and fragrant room. Extremely central location with a wide range of restaurants/trattorias all nearby. It will be my point of reference every time I pass through Florence.

It was our first experience in a B&B and this establishment far exceeded our expectations. Rooms are very spacious, extremely clean and close to everything. Excellent value for money.

A Bed & Breakfast located in the palace of the Donati family, with a traditional, elegant yet truly welcoming atmosphere. Just like the host who welcomed us with all the availability in the world, providing us with very useful information from the booking to better explore the city and giving us additional tips upon our arrival. The structure, spread over several floors, is clean, comfortable, and in a wonderful position to visit the historic center, being just 5 minutes (maximum) walk from the Duomo. Equipped with numerous services (wifi, kettle in the room, coffee machine and water in the common areas, heating/air conditioning, elevator...), when I have to return to Florence, I will have no reason to look for another place to stay.

A real pleasure to stay at Locanda Orchidea! It has been recently renovated and is beautiful and comfortable while still retaining the charm of an old palazzo - large rooms, high ceilings, classic style furniture. The breakfast buffet was perfect, offering a range of fresh, delicious choices. The location is outstanding and the host, Luciano, is extremely thoughtful and nice. There is nothing to fault. We look forward to returning.

The structure is very central. The extra touch is due to the technology to enter the structure and the friendliness of the manager. A person who is present, yet discreet, and with a deep knowledge of Florentine life that allows guests to be entertained with anecdotes. The environment is very clean and with the necessary amenities.

We spent a weekend in this beautiful city. Mr. Luciano was helpful in every way, the property is located a stone's throw from the center and the station. The property is very welcoming, the plentiful breakfast is served in a dedicated room. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. We will gladly return to this beautiful city.

The structure is located in a strategic area, right in the city center and a few minutes from the SMN station. The room where we slept was very spacious, as well as the bathroom. The very rich breakfast was served in a dedicated room where the manager took care of us with extreme kindness. We will definitely come back because we returned home with a beautiful memory. Excellent location in a beautiful historic building. The double room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable; also, the windows overlooked the inner courtyard, so we didn't have noise issues during the night. Private bathroom in the room, clean and functional. Mr. Luciano, the owner, was very kind and helpful. Fully positive quality/price ratio, especially considering the period and the city area.\n\nThe only comment I could make concerns breakfast, a bit limited for those like me who suffer from celiac disease. It could be an added value to provide gluten-free products (even industrial) for celiac customers when needed.\n\nOverall, the stay was very pleasant. Highly recommended structure.
