During our stay at Althea Rooms, we had a really good time. The manager was kind and very helpful, we found the room clean and welcoming, the cleaning was done daily. The B&B is located in the center, near Ponte Vecchio, an excellent location that allows you to reach the city center on foot, without taking any means of transportation. Highly recommended!

Our stay in Althea Rooms was amazing. It was a very nice, spacious room which was spotlessly cleaned. Tony was more than helpful with everything we needed. There was a small basket with goods for breakfast which was replenished on the second day of our stay. The location was nice, close to some nice trattorias and just a few minutes away from the historic center. We highly recommend Althea Rooms.

Located in a quiet area but not too far from the center of Florence. Accessible from the airport (30 minutes by tram, 20 minutes of pleasant walk in the city). Equipment for a 'quick' breakfast available in the room. Antonio super responsive via messages and very nice (he advised us on the organization of our last day) and in French! The neighborhood and Piazza Santo Spirito are a 3-minute walk away... not to be missed for a warm and 'far' from the city atmosphere. Boboli and Palazzo Pitti right next door!

The structure is located just outside the historic center, about 15 minutes on foot. The room is in a slightly dated building without an elevator. The room is small but equipped with everything you need: air conditioning and a refrigerator. The structure is very clean and the room is tidied up every morning. Recommended.

Excellent place to spend a few days in Florence with a perfect price-quality ratio. Antonio has been an excellent host and helped us at all times. They offer a delicious Italian coffee with nice complimentary items for a quick breakfast in the mornings, in your own room. Of course, you can leave your luggage in case you need to check out and your flight/train leaves late.

I stayed at this bed and breakfast for 4 days and I had a great time. Quiet area very close to Porta Romana, Giardino dei Boboli, Santo Spirito, Palazzo Pitti, San Freudiano and the river Arno. The bus stops are 2-6 minutes walk away. I found the structure very clean and the self check-in is very easy and intuitive to do. Thank you so much for everything!

It was difficult for us to close the bathroom door, but nothing else. They left us pastries, juices, and coffee every day (complimentary) the manager a 10, very friendly and helped us at all times.

Simple room with all the essentials, at a fair price. Daily cleaning. Very helpful and welcoming manager. They also provide something for breakfast. I am satisfied with my experience at Althea Rooms, so I recommend it.

Very kind owner, great location, well-equipped room, a bit dark but just for sleeping it was perfect, and we were able to leave our bags after checking out, we really enjoyed this stop in Florence.

The rooms that Antonio rents are in a central area, easily reachable on foot from Santa Maria Novella station in about 10 minutes. The room was equipped with TV, mini fridge, small packaged breakfast, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The street where the windows overlook is a bit noisy because there are wine bars and clubs quite close by, but I think that with the windows closed you probably sleep very well... the heat forced us to keep them open. Overall, we were absolutely fine! Thanks to Antonio for his courtesy and professionalism.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was amazing. Staff was quite kind and the rooms were very clean. The location was also very convenient. I can recommend for any short and long stay. Surprise: we got a welcome box with some cake and biscuits. I like the gesture.

Breakfast is not included, however, the accommodation has the detail of leaving coffee and teas along with cookies for breakfast in the room. I would definitely return to the accommodation. Staying at Althea Rooms has been a hit. Recommended 100%.

Great stay.

The truth is that I had very low expectations of this accommodation and I was pleasantly surprised! The room was super comfortable and had everything we needed! The fridge and breakfast they left us with sweets, coffee, juices... was a great touch! We felt at home! And on top of that, just a stone's throw from the center, I would definitely repeat!

I highly recommend it, it is located near the Palazzo Pitti and the surrounding restaurants and bars are reasonably priced for what Florence offers. It was appreciated that when I arrived, the air conditioning was already on as the room was air-conditioned; moreover, Antonio provides food for breakfast (which is replenished the next morning if consumed) and there is a coffee machine at the entrance. The room has your name as well as the entrance, and you can check in whenever you want, while check-out is between 11:00 and 11:30. In summary, it is a perfect place with a good location.

Beautiful location near the main sightseeings, and in the silent area at the same time. Like it.

I had a great experience both with the manager, who was always very helpful, and with the room. The latter was quiet, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The small breakfast provided in the room was also a pleasant surprise.

Excellent position.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room. Very clean, well organized with many small attentions. The air conditioner was the real nice surprise that made us feel very good. Communication with the team was very good and responsive. The staff is very pleasant and provides advice. One of them speaks French.

The stay was very pleasant. Great location and very kind and helpful manager. I will definitely keep this b&b in mind for any future visits.

Located on the less touristy side of the city, this place is where the best restaurants are found. The host was very kind and gave us tips for our stay. We could ask him for specific things in Florence, such as good restaurants and how to book museum tickets. The price included espresso and some pastries, which was all we needed for breakfast. The bathroom was clean, as well as the room in general. The reception had a short opening time, but we didn’t find it hard to communicate with the host. He even answered my phone call at 8:30 pm one evening. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay at Althea Rooms was fairly pleasant. The room was a bit different than we expected, but still close to what was advertised. All the necessities were there; a closet, a small refrigerator, and a water boiler. The bathroom, however, was small and would easily retain smells for a long time. Other than that, everything was good.

The host, Antonio's advice for driving outside of the city was very helpful. We were also allowed to leave the luggage in the accommodation after checking out. Local people's advice is crucial for travelers in Florence and Tuscany as there are so many things to choose from. Thank you, Althea and Antonio, again. We highly recommend your property to those traveling to Florence.

Great location, quiet area a bit secluded from the more touristy areas but close to the main points of interest. Well-kept and comfortable room, very clean facility and very kind and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

The building is quite old and there are two steep flights of stairs to reach the rooms. The room is small, but decent, well organized and above all very clean, cleanliness that is often not seen in a hotel. The owner was very kind because I had reported a motor difficulty and did everything possible to make everything easier for me. His availability impressed us positively. Congratulations.

I had a great stay at Althea Rooms last week. The location was great as it was easy to walk to anything you needed whether that be restaurants, museums, sites. Our host was great and was available to offer any assistance or advice. I would definitely stay there again.

We spent two nights at the Althea Rooms, the room was comfortable and spacious, had several tables with an electric kettle, coffee, tea, drinks, and sweets. It is very close to the center where all the museums are located, so you can do everything walking. The attention to guests is very good.

Excellent location, helpful host, quiet but close to things. The only suggestion would be to have a microwave and a working coffee machine in the common area. Many restaurants give big portions so having a way to heat leftovers would be great. I loved the mini fridge and hot water pot in the room.

Highly recommended accommodation for the location, quality-price ratio, professionalism, and courtesy of the manager Antonio, and last but not least, the perfect cleanliness. The structure appears a bit dated, except for the new bathroom, but we are in the center of Florence and in any case, every detail is taken care of. All comforts are really present. I would definitely return if I were to pass through Florence again.

Ideal structure to spend a weekend! The property is located in a strategic point of the city that allows you to reach Palazzo Pitti, Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Duomo on foot! Clean room and very kind and helpful owner! To come back.

Quality and price were fantastic, excellent cleanliness. It does not include breakfast but every morning there were sweet pastries, cookies, and juices. Recommendation: I traveled with my son and I would have liked to have a microwave in the hallway to heat his food or milk. But for everything else it was super excellent and I am sure I will come back. Thank you.

B&B in a great location compared to the center. Good cleanliness and comfortable bed. The bathroom linen is changed every three days. A minimal breakfast is provided, a few croissants, fruit juice, and biscuits. We found a bottle of water upon our arrival. I would return, so I recommend it.

We had a wonderful weekend in Florence visiting family and were delighted to have found such a convenient place to stay. The rooms were spacious, with very comfortable beds and a small but excellent shower room. Everything was very clean and well appointed. Highly recommended.

Great value for money, helpful and friendly manager. Only downside, the door doesn't close easily with a key.

Great place! Loved the snacks that were replenished daily. Very clean and the host was very nice and accommodating. Location is pretty good and not too far a walk from the centre. The bed was not the most comfortable but wasn't too bad either. Would definitely recommend!

I stayed at Althea Rooms with my partner on the bridge of June 2nd. A truly excellent structure. Super clean, very friendly staff and always very helpful. Excellent location, less than 10 minutes walk from the entrance of Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens. About twenty minutes from the Uffizi and the Porcellino market. In the area, there are various supermarkets and especially one of the locations of the Strega Nocciola ice cream shop. In short, I really feel like recommending it and I would definitely book it again for a future weekend in Florence.

One of the most pleasant stay experiences ever. The room is cleaned and tidy every day, the air conditioning is on to make the environment fresh every time we return to the property. I gave a 10 to the breakfast because even if it was not included in the reservation, every day we found brioches, fruit juices, small tarts, and coffee pods to use in the machine at the entrance. The location is excellent, very close to Piazza Santo Spirito, one of the most beautiful in Florence. The manager is friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

I very much liked Antonio's apartment; it is simple but nice, clean, and located in a calm & residential area of Florence - yet it is close to the center (10 min walk). Our room was equipped with sweets, drinks, and very good coffee (pads), so we could have our breakfast independently. Antonio is a very kind host; communication was always easy and quick. I recommend staying here!

I am satisfied with my stay at Althea Rooms, thanks especially to the kindness and availability of Mr. Antonio who treated us with care, both me and my boyfriend and even the little dog traveling with us. I highly recommend a stay here, both for Mr. Antonio and for the proximity to the center, in fact the structure is located in a strategic point: a 4-minute walk from Palazzo Pitti and less than 10 minutes from Ponte Vecchio, which connects to the historic center. The stay did not include breakfast but thanks to Mr. Antonio's kindness, we were provided with a breakfast in the room every day with snacks, juices, a kettle with tea and even coffee capsules and water. The structure is very nice, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. For those staying with a dog, Mr. Antonio immediately made himself available to provide us with a fleece bed and also bowls. Surely for the next stay in Florence, I will choose Mr. Antonio again.

Posto tranquillo molto carino situato a pochi km dal centro raggiungibile benissimo a piedi. Sicuramente se dovessi tornare a Firenze prenoterei di nuovo da Althea Rooms.

Personale gentilissimo, zona perfetta per gli spostamenti a piedi o in bici, stanza super pulita e tenuta obiettivamente bene. L'appartamento non è nuovissimo ma è comunque ristrutturato internamente ed è dotato di tutti i confort di cui si può aver bisogno in viaggio (minifrigo, phon, clima etc)..Io mi sono trovata davvero molto bene, spero di poterci tornare presto, da loro...e a Firenze in generale!

Struttura molto semplice e accogliente! Complimenti al signor Antonio!

Camere in quartiere Oltrarno (bello) pieno di botteghe e osterie tipiche. 5 minuti a piedi dal centro e 2 minuti da Palazzo Pitti. Camere in palazzo senza ascensore. Pulizia ottima. Accoglienza e check out senza problemi. Tutto perfetto.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo, la stanza era pulita, fornita di ogni comfort. Unica pecca la mancanza dell'asciugacapelli in bagno. Per il resto tutto ok.
