I didn't like many things about this property. Firstly, it was not specified anywhere in the listing that the homeowner lived there. The website talks about a bed and breakfast, not an AirBnB with the homeowner living there. Secondly, no receipt was issued by the homeowner and I also suspect, at this point, that the property is not properly registered and that everything is managed off the books. Payment was requested exclusively in cash, another thing that seems fishy to me. Thirdly, my room was extremely hot. The first night I literally didn't sleep because the air was unbreathable (late June, 35 degrees outside). I understand the lack of air conditioning, but the fact that I had to request a fan myself and it wasn't already provided seems quite absurd considering we are in late summer. Fourthly, the breakfast was ridiculous. 70€ per night to have milk and coffee and packaged croissants? Are we kidding? I had to request a more substantial breakfast. Fifth, the elegant decor mentioned in the listing I did not find. In my room, the bedspread had holes, to name one. The only positive thing about the house is the cleanliness, nothing to say about that.

I stayed with my girlfriend. We were welcomed by Francesca, the owner, super kind and super helpful. An experience we will repeat.

Excellent receptiveness.

The lady was very kind and welcoming. The house is clean and in a good location. Air conditioners and WiFi (internet in general) are missing. In addition, there is no shower curtain, so a lake is made in the bathroom every time. Fans have not even been provided. Considering how many mosquitoes are in the area, mosquito nets would be necessary to allow at least the windows to be kept open and ventilate the environment. At least mosquito-repellent devices would be useful. The recycling containers are not labeled. We have already found previous garbage, which is never nice. I made my own bag and took it with me to avoid mistakes. Given the kindness and availability of the lady, we decided to give the maximum score available. However, we feel the need to express these critical points to help improve the service.

It's already the second time I sleep at Il Glicine, I had a great time. When I come back to San Donato I will definitely sleep here.

Struttura confortevole, ben situata per coloro che si devono spostare verso Milano. Zona tranquilla e nessun problema per chi va in auto. Da consigliare.
