Whether positive or negative, I never leave reviews because I am convinced that this system of commenting on one's experiences in hotels or restaurants is terribly mismanaged and allows anyone to express judgments that, in most cases, are inappropriate. But this time I decided to make an exception.
Due to culture, social status, and education, each customer is different from another and has different needs. Needs that are sometimes already complicated to solve for large hotels, let alone for the manager of a B&B.
Considering the high degree of uncouthness of the majority of modern tourists, what value does their judgment of the Quality/Price ratio or the Cleanliness of a B&B have if at home they live with chickens in the living room and wash their armpits only once a week.
In a big city like Rome, with city mobility services that most of the time prove inadequate, asking to rate the Location of the Property means absolutely nothing. You may live 5 minutes from a subway station, but then that station is closed for renovations. You may have a wide choice of buses, but if you are in the northern part of the city, it will take hours to get to the southern part. And if you need to buy tickets, you don't know where to go.
The same goes for Breakfast. Because if at home you are used to having it with Coca-Cola and peanuts, or with eggs and sausages, the fresh wild berry tart every morning will not be part of your food culture.
I believe that if there are problems to report, needs to be addressed, or compliments to make, they should be done exclusively by talking to the managers and not by writing reviews afterwards, which serve no purpose. Especially if those already mentioned uncouth individuals do it, who seem to enjoy taking advantage of the opportunity to judge their stays, leaving negative reviews just to show their friends how snobby they are when they return to the chicken coops where they usually live.
Stop with these absurd reviews and find a more intelligent way to evaluate the quality of the services you offer.
