La Corte dei Pastori is just stunning. We stayed in the suite for our 30th wedding anniversary and it surpassed our expectations. The view of the Sassi and the Parco Della Murgia Materana are the best in Matera in my opinion. The design of the cave is beautiful and furnished to a high standard. It is excellent value for money in comparison to other properties. The private terrace provides you with a peaceful and spacious area to sit and take in the view whilst enjoying a glass of wine or a coffee which are readily available in the property. Our hosts Tiziana and her husband Mimo were so kind and welcoming and served us a delicious breakfast with lots of home made treats. We would love to return.

We stayed at this wonderful property in July for a couple of days. Fabulous stone renovation that left nothing to chance and makes the atmosphere of this B&B unique. Thanks to Mimmo, who knew how to give us the right suggestions, and Tiziana's breakfasts, the stay in Matera was unforgettable.

Very nice accommodations in a unique setting, "cave room". Outstanding location with lovely terrace to enjoy the views. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The hosts were very gracious and hospitable.

It would be useful for the owner to send a standard email just before their arrival at La Corte dei Pastori Luxury with practical information about accessing Matera by car because the historic city is hardly accessible and the closest parking lots are quite far on foot from the property.

The B&B is located in a wonderful area of the 'sassi' with a spectacular view and convenient for moving around the 'sassi' of Matera. La Corte dei Pastori Luxury. The lady is very kind and helpful in recommending restaurants, tours, and organizing guided tours and more. Highly recommended.

A dream place, I would definitely go back with my eyes closed.

A magical location. It is located right in front of the postcard of Matera, a delightful view. At dusk, this place becomes magical. The lights in the rocks turn on and you stay there enchanted watching the spectacle of nature comfortably seated on your terrace. Well-kept caves/rooms and impeccable service. Tiziana is truly an excellent host. They are also creating a new room, a mega suite with a whirlpool tub and private sauna, with great taste and respect for nature. If you go to Matera, you must stay here, we recommend it because it is a real gem. Abundant and quality breakfast.

An amazing place to stay, in the Sassi, in a cave set into the rock, underneath an ancient church, with stunning views of Matera. You can’t park nearby but if you ask beforehand Tiziana will give you good instructions for where to go. Breakfast was delicious, full of sweet Italian delicacies, would have been nice though to have had some fruit. Lovely welcome from Tiziana and her family and we loved our room, couldn’t believe how beautiful it and the views were and how easy it was to walk from there around Matera. Would love to come back one day, thank you.

For the first time with two friends we visited Matera. Magical and surprising city, especially for the availability and kindness of its inhabitants. The first to introduce us to the character of the Materans were Tiziana and her husband, managers of the structure, where we stayed in a typical cave house, curated in the smallest details and very clean, with a spectacular view of the "gravina", pampered with a typical and very abundant breakfast. Thanks to them we were able to have a special guide for the tour and all the necessary information to fully enjoy the city of Matera. We will recommend to all our friends.

A fabulous residence in a fabulous place. We had a short vacation that we recommend to everyone for what the rocks represent. The accommodation was no less for hospitality, services, and atmosphere; we couldn't have expected more.

Great B&B. Beautiful city. To visit.

Exceptional location, excellent cleanliness and maintenance of the facility (also see reserved spaces in the garden), courtesy and availability of Mrs. Tiziana and her husband minimum. Excellent breakfast served outdoors with a view of the stones. The only regret is having stayed only one night. If we were to return to Matera, we would certainly know where to go.

My wife and I stayed wonderfully on 09/06/16, the B&B is located in an excellent position between the church of San Pietro Caveoso and under the rock of the church of San Giovanni di Monterrone. Very kind and cultured Mrs. Tiziana. The excellent breakfast was served on the terrace at the small table prepared in front of the breathtaking panorama of Matera Sassi. There are no words to describe, you have to be there and admire.

In praise there is more intrusiveness than in blame, but in the votes there is what we have not said. Congratulations.

Availability and excellent hospitality. Superb and abundant breakfast. The view is fantastic, looking out on the terrace in the evening and seeing the illuminated stones is a very suggestive emotion. The cave room, although smaller, is truly charming and encapsulates the essence (with all the comforts though) of life in the stones. The waterfall shower is also very nice. Very positive experience, to be repeated!

I gifted a weekend to my son and his girlfriend at La Corte dei Pastori Luxury, a structure I did not know. Their impressions were all decidedly positive. The owner was very kind and helpful.

The structure La Corte dei Pastori Luxury is located in one of the most characteristic and beautiful places in the City of Stones. The rooms, actually nestled in the typical millennia-old caves, are furnished with all modern comforts and tastefully and soberly furnished. The family management allows you to appreciate the courtesy and renowned hospitality of the inhabitants of Matera; Mimmo and his wife went out of their way to advise us on how to best enjoy the beauties and local delights. We stayed there for New Year's Eve 2016 and the prices were inevitably a bit higher than usual, but still convenient.

The kindness and availability of Mrs. Tiziana, her exquisite hospitality even providing breakfast to guests with special dietary needs, a location among the most beautiful overlooking the Sassi and the square of San Pietro Caveoso, the cleanliness, the courtesy, the comfort of the room, make the B&B La Corte dei Pastori Luxury a charming structure. Highly recommended.

The B&B La Corte dei Pastori Luxury is located in a very central position and is an excellent starting point for visiting Matera. The room was clean and had a window with a spectacular view. Mrs. Tiziana very kind and generous with advice. Excellent and abundant breakfast, although I would have preferred if there was also something savory.

The couple running the B&B were really welcoming and the room was lovely with a stunning view - the one at the front is the one to ask for.\n\nBreakfast was the nicest one I've had in any hotel and we even got to eat on the terrace when weather permitted. It was a bit tricky to find but the owner said he is happy to collect visitors from the station. We didn't mind too much tho as it gave us an opportunity to explore the windy streets of Matera. Would really recommend.
