Nice studio apartment, well renovated and very clean, comfortable for 2 people, equipped with everything one needs for a seaside stay. Some extra maintenance work would make it perfect (lack of paint on some re-plastered parts to restore the original wall design, glass French door that does not close, wooden window and door that need a bit of treatment), even though I understand the difficulty of managing a vintage structure in a seaside climate and on a small island. Small details that are noticeable, considering the daily cost of the studio. A short reminder with instructions and suggestions for using the fan, lights, and washing machine would be useful. The manager is nice, very welcoming, and a good connoisseur of the island, sometimes with a slightly rigid attitude on things not understood by guests because they were not explained well beforehand. But he more than redeems himself with his wonderful stories about the island and its history. The island of San Nicola is magnificent, especially early in the morning and in the evening when there are no daily visitors, who come to visit the spectacular monastery, leaving only those who stay there. The outdoor space on the pedestrian street is very pleasant, where you can eat or simply relax.

Thanks to the help of Nicola, owner of the property and a deep connoisseur (as well as in love) of Tremiti, we had the opportunity to spend a beautiful week on the island of San Nicola. Between boat trips, renting a rubber boat, the sea procession of Ferragosto, and barbecues together, this island is a gem. There were 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children, and the apartment was ideal. Additionally, we were with another family of our friends. Nicola kindly arranged us in adjacent apartments so that we could have meals together. A beautiful memory that we will cherish.

The Tremiti Islands were a real discovery, especially San Nicola. Staying at Le Case dei Nonni is like taking a dive into the past, thanks above all to Nicola, always available for any request, for a chat, and to tell past and present events. The well-kept structure is ideal for a stay focused on essentiality and the continuous discovery of these wonderful islands.

We stayed at the Tremiti Islands for a week, specifically on the island of San Nicola, at the Le Case dei Nonni property. The property is located in a position that offers a fantastic view and is managed by Nicola, a true Tremitese, very useful for providing both geographical and historical information about the places. The initial contact with Nicola was by phone and exhaustive. The islands are wild and therefore magnificent, naturally not suitable for everyone as they require a predisposition for a very 'nature' vacation where you leave behind the superfluous and enjoy the essential.

Due to rough seas at the port of Termoli, all trips to the Tremiti Islands were canceled for two consecutive days, but we did not receive any refund or assistance during the stay. We would have expected a somewhat different attitude. The house is still very nice, in a great location, and complete with everything needed for a weekly stay. We didn't even find a bottle of water in the fridge, and it seemed like there was little attention to useful details. Nicola is friendly and undoubtedly very prepared even to do the island tour by rubber dinghy.

The Tremiti Islands and, especially San Nicola, were a beautiful discovery. The 15 days spent in San Nicola were "challenging" - as expected when living an experience in such a small island - but with unparalleled charm. Nicola's apartment is extremely functional, clean, and located in one of the most convenient and beautiful spots on the island. The welcome and support provided by Nicola were excellent: he was always available, discreet, and never intrusive. Thinking of spending more vacation days in the Tremiti Islands is not for everyone; it requires a good spirit of adaptation and a strong desire to discover and appreciate the roughness of the island and its inhabitants who, once past the initial impact, manage to convey all their love for this magical place.

We received a few essential pieces of information and arrived at our destination quite unaware of what we would find. I don't want to spoil the surprise for those who will spend their holidays in Nicola's grandparents' houses because if you decide to come here you will live a unique experience, different from mine and that of anyone else. There are no words to describe the beauty of the Tremiti Islands and the open-air museum of San Nicola Island. The only thing to do is to go there and immerse yourself fully and savor colors and emotions, believe me you will be thrilled. Le Case dei Nonni is a family-run structure, where the owner, Mr. Nicola, is always ready to help, both for boat trips and for any mishaps that can happen on vacation, and then to listen with his heart to the stories of history and the Diomedee. Now all you have to do is go there. I recommend, being the sea wolf can sometimes seem gruff, especially if you book by phone, it's better to do it by email. Grocery store with staggering prices, open during our 7-night stay, only for 2 days. To buy food, we had to go to the island of San Domino (5 euro round trip boat) and walk uphill to reach the supermarket. Restaurants in San Nicola are very expensive. No beach on the Island of San Nicola except for the boat storage at the port (rather dirty). The photo of the structure on the website has been counterfeited. San Domino's beaches are small, made of sharp rocks, difficult to reach, with only one sandy beach requiring rental of umbrellas and sunbeds where people are packed like sardines. The Island of San Nicola is an open-air garbage dump, where you can breathe an air of degradation and abandonment even at the archaeological site. To enjoy the sea, you have to rent a dinghy (at least 100 euros per day). In short, I advise against staying more than 2-3 days in the Tremiti Islands, and if you want to stay overnight, don't choose the Island of San Nicola. The Tremiti Islands have a beautiful sea but can only be enjoyed by boat or dinghy. Everything the owner writes on the website (logistic support, boat trips, barbecues) is false.

S. Nicola is lovely! This is the second time that my wife and I come back to the island, and the room that Nicola reserved for us is in an ideal location with a view of the harbor. In the evening, the little square becomes a meeting point. And Nicola is a nice character to get to know!

The beauties of islands still largely virgin and intact where man, luckily, has not disfigured Its Deep and Natural Soul! I would like to express a special and affectionate thought regarding a Great Person, Nicola de Martino, the owner of the magnificent and nineteenth-century Bourbon bed and breakfast, where we were Delighted Guests! A great Friend and a great heart! Poet and Singer and Defender to the hilt of the Enchanting History and Naturalistic site that are the Tremiti; True Jewel and World Heritage of Humanity! San Nicola is an island that remains in the eyes and in the heart for a long time. It fascinates for the beauty of the sea and its history. The only thing (perhaps Nicola, the owner of "Le Case dei Nonni", is getting old), never trust a reservation without written and enforceable confirmation, to avoid risks like what happened to me of being left without accommodation on the last day of stay, helped in the search for a new accommodation not by him but by the very kind ladies of the B&B Il Chiostro. I am writing to apologize to the manager Nicola De Martino, only today I realized speaking with other managers that my reservation could have been misunderstood as I didn't specify the departure date well, I hope that Nicola accepts my apologies, maybe it's me who is getting old.

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents. They had a great time. The accommodation is located on the island of San Nicola in a beautiful part of the island. Excellent cleanliness, beautiful view, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Nicola is a very polite and helpful manager: he conveys the love for his land completely. He was very kind to my parents who had unexpected events (due to adverse weather the ferry did not depart for several days): he was very patient and attentive to their needs, trying to reassure them and showing he could solve any problem. For those who love the sea, Le Case dei Nonni is a paradise, in San Nicola time has stopped. There are no cars or confusion. You find yourself with few tourists on the island after the departure of daily visitors. The island is mostly inhabited by seasonal workers and natives who return for the summer, the atmosphere is familiar, children can be left free to move around in complete safety. We had an exceptional stay. Quiet, exotic, rejuvenating, Nicola welcomed us very warmly and showed us the treasures and wonders of his island. It is an ideal place to reunite as a couple or family, away from all consumeristic ideas. The accommodation is ideally located and offers all amenities. Small advice: anticipate the schedules of the Termoli ferries (3 per day), have cash as there is no possibility to withdraw money, and have with you the small food necessities (coffee, packet of pasta...). We keep exceptional memories and recommend it to all those who wish to spend a holiday away from the noise of seaside resorts while benefiting from exceptional beaches. A last-minute vacation, my husband preferred the north and I. I took him to Tremiti! As soon as we got off the ship, he almost wanted to ask for a divorce. After a week of real peace with our children, here we are leaving. San Nicola entered our hearts, we were welcomed in this enchanted place by the true captain of the island Nicola de Martino, the owner of the B&B! A delightful person who told us all the secrets of this place. Every day he was our guide, just mentioning his name to have any place opened and to live like true islanders! His ninety-year-old mother who lives with him is the true historical memory of the island, she was born and raised here! The houses are very welcoming, comfortable, and spotless! An enchanting week with the constant feeling that everything was incredibly perfect. Already after the first day we felt at home and in tune with the colors, the times, the sounds of this somewhat magical island. Nicola has been a true friend of adventure and a valuable advisor. We left with the certainty that we will return soon to Le Case dei Nonni, a perfect place to experience the beautiful sensations felt in San Nicola.

A special thanks to 'Captain' Nicola, to Enrichetta and family of the homonymous restaurant pastry shop and to fisherman Angelo.

It is considered one of the wonders of the world. The sea has a clarity and an indescribable color. The island of San Nicola, in addition to the wealth provided by the historical and cultural heritage, is inhabited by simple, kind people who are very welcoming to tourists. Nicola, a true sea wolf, knows the island and the sea that surrounds him like the back of his hands, he is an excellent guide.

Maybe all these 10 may seem too many, actually when you find a little paradise that deserves them, you need to be objective. First of all, let's talk about an island. If you choose this experience, Le Case dei Nonni by Nicola are the best you can find to live an unforgettable stay. For me it was like that. The structure of the studio where I stayed enclosed the history of the small suburb but at the same time it combined the perfect restoration of cozy, clean and perfectly equipped premises. I can't even describe Nicola to you, I recommend you to meet him, one of the most beautiful things among many was when without giving me too many explanations he invited me for a dessert in a local bar. Waiting for me at the table there were other islanders, they immediately made me feel at home; I felt a true welcome that I never take for granted. Go visit this enchanting place, this crystal clear sea, go meet Nicola, for me it was a great opportunity and a memorable vacation.

Magnificent place. The rooms are as described and photographed. Trusting Nicola, the owner, is like finding the true Diomede of the island. Beautiful is the experience of being with few tourists on the island after the departure of the daily tourists.

Eight days spent with my family in a welcoming, characteristic environment, rich in the scents and flavors of an island San Nicola that has given us what we were looking for: relaxation, tranquility, relationships, well-being! To complete it all, there is Nicola, an expert connoisseur of the island, who guided us and welcomed us as only a great man can do! We will return because a part of us is still there.

Sincerity in contact, transparency, love for the hometown, tremors, historical knowledge, cordiality from the first minute of Nicola and Federica are above any expectation. Fresh rooms, tastefully furnished with typical boat materials, provide added value. They are really comfortable for those with children, with a nice loft and a well-organized kitchen. The owners accompanied us with due seriousness to discover and spend three wonderful days. Posto eccezionale, la casa rispecchiava quanto promesso nella presentazione, dotata di tutto quello che serve. Ottima la pulizia, la posizione e la pace che si gode a risiedere in un posto come l'isola di San Nicola. I colori di quel mare rimarranno nella mia mente per diverso tempo. Impeccabile la disponibilità di Nicola, proprietario delle case, sempre pronto a dare consigli e a raccontare la storia dell'isola.

Accoglienza, cortesia e presenza costante ma discreta del proprietario. Mille indicazioni e facilitazioni nella vacanza. Pulizia e generosità nelle dotazioni della casa.

Ho trascorso con mio marito una vacanza a Tremiti, breve ma indimenticabile. L'isola di San Nicola ci ha rapiti con il suo fascino di un luogo quasi indietro nel tempo: una dimensione ormai rara che ci ha davvero rimessi al mondo dopo le fatiche lavorative. L'ospitalità del signor Nicola impeccabile e la sua disponibilità davvero preziosa: il passaggio da San Domino a San Nicola al nostro arrivo, il vino biologico, il giro dell'arcipelago con il gozzo, gli aneddoti di vita isolana e le notizie sulla storia tremitese. Durante l'inverno che ci attende ripenseremo con grande nostalgia alle belle nuotate in un mare meraviglioso, ai tramonti mozzafiato goduti dal Montone, alle cene nella pace delle stradine del paese.

Esperienza bellissima! L'appartamento si trova nella parte più suggestiva e ricca di storia delle Tremiti, l'Isola di S. Nicola, dove ogni cosa ha un fascino particolare. Piccolo ma con gli spazi ben organizzati, nell'appartamento c'è tutto quello che serve (mai stati in una casa in affitto con una cucina così ricca di pentole, coperchi e utensili vari). Ogni angolo dell'isola nasconde scorci di paesaggio mozzafiato, tramonti indimenticabili.. A rendere perfetto il soggiorno in quest'isola ci pensa poi Nicola, il proprietario de "La Casa dei Nonni", sempre disponibile, pronto a dare suggerimenti e informazioni per permettere ai suoi ospiti di godere di ogni meraviglia del posto. Bellissimo il giro delle isole con il gozzo e con Nicola che da vero amante delle sue isole racconta con passione la storia di ogni caletta o grotta. La sistemazione perfetta per assaporare a pieno il vero spirito tremitese.

Sono arrivata a S. Nicola mercoledi 19 e ripartita il 24 agosto. Era la prima volta per me alle Tremiti. Nicola, il gestore, ci è venuto a prendere a S. Domino, porto di arrivo dell'aliscafo, ed è iniziata la nostra vacanza aS. Nicola!Abbiamo soggiornato in un delizioso appartamentino pulito e organizzato bene per le nostre esigenze: una cucina con tutti gli utensili per cucinare, due bagni per essere indipendenti. Nicola era con una deliziosa compagna, Federica, che ci ha reso la nostra vacanza ancora più bella accompagnandoci nei tour che Nicola aveva organizzato per noi! Ci ha anche offerto un gustoso barbecue insieme ad altri ospiti delle case, simpaticissimi! Ho trascorso 5 giorni indimenticabili facendo moltissime cose, bagni stupendi in acque cristalline, buon cibo dei ristoranti, pesce fresco assicurato, antica ospitalità dei tremitesi e Nicola che non ci ha mai abbandonate, facendoci divertire con escursioni in barca circumnavigando le isole! Sicuramente un bellissimo posto dove trascorrere le vacanze, uno spicchio di Paradiso vicino casa!

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura con una mia amica dal 8 al 18 agosto. Siamo state veramente bene, la posizione della struttura magnifica, il bilocale spazioso, pulito e funzionale. Nicola è una persona molto gentile, simpaticissima e disponibile, in casa c'è tutto: acqua, frutta, tisane e soprattutto il buonissimo vino biologico. Con Nicola abbiamo fatto delle gite spettacolari con la sua barca nei punti più selvaggi delle Tremiti. Che mare! San Nicola poi è un'isola magica e ricca di storia con la sua Abbazia, ti ritrovi catapultato fuori dal mondo senza macchine e motorini, un paradiso, bellissimo anche il sentiero del cimitero molto suggestivo. Che dire vacanza da ripetere. Francesca e Marina.

Vacanza indimenticabile per chi come noi ama il mare. Fondali ricchi di coralli, stelle marine e pesci di ogni specie. Acqua cristallina e bella salata. Nicola è sempre gentilissimo e ci ha prestato varie volte la sua barchetta a remi per girare tra le isole in completa autonomia. La casa è ben attrezzata e ha tutto l'occorrente per stare bene. È posizionata nel punto migliore di San Nicola, nella piazzetta panoramica con vista mare. Posto ideale per riposarsi e praticare attività di mare. Consigliatissimo.

Un posto stupendo, da amare. Dopo una settimana di permanenza ti sembra di stare a casa, considerando la tranquillità, forse anche meglio. Le case di Nicola poi hanno tutto ciò di cui si ha bisogno, sono molto carine e funzionali. Lui si mette sempre a disposizione per ogni evenienza. Essendo poi un profondo conoscitore del posto, e soprattutto innamorato di San Nicola, è una sicurezza. Memorabile una passeggiata fatta al monastero dove, con un po' di storia e qualche aneddoto, ci ha portato a conoscenza di un mondo ormai lontano che ha però fatto San Nicola. Un consiglio, considerando che tutte le merci arrivano via nave ed hanno quindi un costo di partenza elevato è meglio partire con una buona scorta. Il vino no, a quello ci pensa Nicola.

Tutte le informazioni fornite dal gestore (il gentilissimo signor Nicola) corrispondono a verità, dall'accoglienza all'arrivo sino alla partenza. La posizione della struttura è incantevole, il monolocale moderno, arredato con gusto e con tutte le comodità (lavatrice inclusa). Soggiornando a San Nicola si vive in una realtà isolana, fuori dal caos turistico; la mancanza di servizi (ad esempio il negozio di alimentari) deve essere messa in conto, ma forse proprio questo totale "isolamento" la rende unica. Consigliata a chi desidera fare un'esperienza unica anche nel periodo ferragostano.

Gentilezza, educazione, rispetto per l'ospite, tranquillità e serenità, questo è Le Case dei Nonni, questo è Nicola, il grande e mitico Nicola. Grazie di tutto, torneremo a trovarti. Un abbraccio Tiziana, Fabrizio Federico, Francesca.

Quello che cercavamo, vacanza di assoluto relax. Posto “fuori dal mondo”, in tutti i sensi. Quando siamo arrivati sull’isola di San Nicola a dire il vero eravamo un po’ scoraggiati: la sera prima a Termoli una signora del posto ci aveva elencato i disagi e le scomodità che, secondo lei, avremmo trovato: il centro storico (dove si trovano gli appartamenti gestiti da Nicola) è su una rupe, a suo dire è scomoda la salita. Non c’è il negozio di alimentari, per la spesa dovrete andare a San Domino. E poi a San Nicola non c’è nulla da fare. Andiamo con ordine: è vero, il paese è abbarbicato su una rocca a picco sul porto. La salita a piedi non è delle più agevoli, però c’è un comodo ascensore che non costa neppure tanto. Una volta in cima però, la vista che godrete vi ripagherà ampiamente. Inoltre, qualche volta fatevi la salita a piedi nudi, lasciate a casa gli zoccoli o le ciabatte. Provatelo, non ci crederete, ma è tutta un’altra cosa. La spesa: telefonate al negozio di San Domino, leggetegli la lista e la spesa vi arriverà in porto con il barcone delle 10. Più comodo di così. Tra la visita all’abbazia / fortezza, il museo della radio, la passeggiata al cimitero, la chiesa, solo che gironzolare tra i viali del centro storico, dire che a San Nicola non ci sia nulla da fare non è del tutto vero. Ma comunque, siamo poi sicuri che ogni tanto non aver nulla da fare sia poi così male? Gli appartamenti: non grandissimi, ma decisamente sufficienti e ben attrezzati: mobili ed elettrodomestici nuovi. Noi eravamo in tre e ci siamo stati benissimo. Alla sera mangiare di fuori davanti a casa, sul corso, una favola. La colazione al mattino con la gente che passa e ti saluta. Come dice la pubblicità non ha prezzo. Il gestore: in casa abbiamo trovato di tutto: spaghetti, zucchero, sale, latte, una bottiglia di vino, acqua, i biscotti per la colazione. Dove lo trovi uno così che ti dice: “eh no, e quando il vino lo hai finito non lo devi andare a comprare, lo devi dire a me che te lo porto io che è biologico ” e poi non ha voluto che gliene pagassimo neppure una bottiglia. Uno che, appena arrivati, gli dici che il frigo non funziona e dopo mezz’ora, non di più, ti bussa uno alla porta: “mi ha mandato Nicola ” e il frigo te lo fa funzionare. In ultimo, una chicca: il 14 luglio io e la mia signora abbiamo festeggiato il nostro trentesimo anniversario di matrimonio. Nicola è venuto a saperlo e che fa? Alle quattro del pomeriggio eravamo su una spiaggia e arriva lui con un gommone, salta a terra e tira fuori una bottiglia di Muller Thurgau, i bicchieri e brindiamo con lui ed alcune amiche che erano in spiaggia con noi da commuoversi! Insomma, andateci.

Un'Isola assolutamente favolosa un posto unico al mondo un vero museo a cielo aperto Le case dei nonni sono strutture extra confortevoli appartamenti posizionati nel centro storico del paese forniti di ogni attrezzatura e confort. Poi che dire del proprietario Nicola persona veramente eccezionale disponibile per ogni esigenza tratta il cliente come un amico lo assiste in ogni occasione facendolo stare come fosse a casa propria. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente il prossimo anno siamo una coppia che ha viaggiato molto nel mondo ma francamente non abbiamo mai trovato un posto così esclusivo e unico in cui puoi fare una vacanza nel massimo relax. San Nicola e un posto assolutamente no stress lo raccomando a tutti.

Dolce e magico il soggiorno alla casa dei nonni, ben organizzata, dove si può cucinare e godere dell'ampia piazza. Il carico di storia del borgo fortificato di San Nicola e il suggestivo complesso dell'Abbazia regalano giornate che continuiamo a ricordare. Le pietre parlanti non ancora ricomposte di questi luoghi, il tramonto al "cannone" in compagnia del nostro squisito ospite ci hanno offerto momenti di grande piacere e occasioni di meditazione. Il godimento pieno della natura e le strepitose prospettive di queste isole completano il quadro di una straordinaria scoperta per noi che siamo venuti alle Tremiti per la prima volta. Nicola è stato molto disponibile, la casa è attrezzata in maniera impeccabile e in posizione strategica. Avere la possibilità di cucinare a san Nicola è fondamentale, vista la scarsità di ristoranti e le difficoltà di collegamento tra le due isole. Abbiamo trascorso una vacanza incantevole.

Abbiamo passato due settimane splendide, le case sono nuove e funzionali, il Signor Nicola molto gentile e disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta. Da ripetere.

Soggiornare presso il B&B di Nicola è come entrare a far parte del cuore dell'Isola di S. Nicola, è sentire di farne parte da sempre. Due settimane con la mia famiglia nella famiglia di Nicola come fosse la stessa, accompagnati da uno scenario mozzafiato ad ogni angolo e supportati da una struttura accogliente e confortevole, hanno acceso una fiamma che non si spegnerà più. Si può lasciare quest'angolo di storia e di bellezza selvaggia solo con la promessa di tornare.

Per due settimane ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia, mio marito e mio figlio di 8 mesi nella bellissima e affascinante isola di San Nicola. L'appartamento è confortevole, pulito, ben arredato (sia come estetica che come funzionalità) e in una posizione ottimale essendo accanto al bel vedere e all'ascensore. Siamo stati felicissimi di far la conoscenza del proprietario di casa il signor Nicola, il quale oltre ad averci fatto sentire a "casa", ci ha aiutato in ogni modo. Sicuramente è un posto dove tornare.

Ho trascorso con mia moglie e mio figlio di 11 anni una vacanza deliziosa ospite di Nicola che, da esperto conoscitore dell'isola ci ha guidato indicandoci calette da sogno e accompagnandoci in una indimenticabile gita in barca. Mio figlio ha fatto amicizia con molti bambini della sua età. San Nicola ha viste mozzafiato, l'appartamento è nuovo e attrezzato. Se vi portate una borsa con generi alimentari potrete risparmiare cucinando in casa! Esperienza da ripetere!
