Beautiful structure, the only downside was the Wi-Fi in the room that didn't work, and you had to move to the terrace.

Structure located outside Lerici (car needed) but with a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Poets. Immersed in a fabulous garden, with a pool and play area, all very well-kept. Breakfast served with local products and exquisite cakes and jams made by Mrs. Lidia. Lidia and her son Carlo are very helpful and welcoming hosts. If you need to get away from the city's frenzy, this is the ideal place. We will definitely come back!

We have just returned from a weekend in this wonderful place dedicated to silence and relaxation. Mrs. Lidia and her son were true hosts who welcomed us with great care. And what can we say about the 2 friendly four-legged friends that made our children fall in love and play.

Lovely panoramic position immersed in a beautiful park with a charming pool. An oasis of peace. Spacious and clean rooms. Breakfasts (and sunsets) with a sea view that we will remember for years, the freshly baked sweets by Mrs. Lidia are excellent. The owners...... Gentlemen of the past.

For anybody who is interested, I am writing this review from the bottom of my heart and in full honesty. My family and I spent 3 days in this oasis after a nightmare road trip from The Netherlands with a car breaking down to pieces (including a missing air co in the middle of a heat wave). We arrived very late. Carlo was first of all very kind to wait for us. The next days he took basically full ownership of the car repair, finding a garage, contacting them, making sure mechanics kept up the pace and keeping information flowing. In the three days we had in this house he also ensured we stayed comfortably despite our missing car. Lidia, the owner, treated us with fantastic breakfasts that included freshly made cakes, home made jams and other Italian delicacies made with ingredients from her garden. She also treated us with warmth. Felt like family. The swimming pool is big, very well maintained, clean and perfect to relax after visiting buzzy Cinque Terre. Our kids loved the pool, and spent hours jumping from the diving board, playing ping pong and fuss ball. Thanks very much Carlo and Lidia. We will be back!

Exceptional location on the Gulf of Lerici. Very spacious studio with bathroom and terrace overlooking. Beautiful and very large pool, very relaxing. If I have to give a suggestion to the structure, I would recommend more pastries or a cake for breakfast, but everything was exceptional.

What can I say, it deserves to raise the average!

Oasis of peace! We stayed at this property for a week in August and having to leave was really difficult. You wake up in the morning with a magnificent view and this already gives you an inner serenity that cannot be described, you arrive at the table with the delicious cakes of the grandmother and it feels like paradise. We can say that we managed to rest and enjoy the holiday despite our one-year-old son being demanding. The garden in front of the room, with games for children, is fabulous; the child immediately felt at ease in this space and had a lot of fun during the holiday. He spent a lot of time playing with the very good 2 dogs of the owners. (We miss them!) The owners of the property are exceptional people, very helpful and kind, ready to welcome every request and above all down to earth. It feels like we've known each other for a lifetime. Also positive note for the pool area, tennis court, you only hear the noise of nature. The property and the whole surrounding context are very clean and well maintained. Another positive note is the daily cleaning service, it feels like being in a hotel but with the privacy of an apartment. The cleaning lady was very kind, always trying to meet our child's needs by arranging the room possibly at times that were convenient for the child. What can I say... Thank you and see you soon!

Il Giardino delle Farfalle. We stayed for 9 days at this wonderful B&B. A beautiful property and garden in the hills with a stunning view to the gulf and across to Portovenere. We had a very spacious room and terrace in the large villa with a luxurious pool amidst vineyards and olive groves. A welcoming and most helpful family with Nonna Lidia, daughter Anna-Lisa, and son Carlo chatting with the guests at the abundant breakfast on the balcony. Despite a bit worn interior in the room, and some family members unwilling to get covid vaccinations, however, we felt rather safe and had a lovely stay.

Adorable; extremely relaxing, for those who love nature. We will definitely return.

We were here for a week with 5 people. Even a last-minute addition of my daughter was implemented smoothly. The apartment was very clean, the view from the garden sensational, the breakfast very good, especially the homemade jam. The pool is very large and well maintained. All hosts were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, our time here was a bit short. Maybe we'll see each other again. Ciao!

What can I say... Everything was perfect. The location is wonderful, just 7 minutes from Lerici and away from the chaos of the beaches and cities. An oasis of peace. We had a huge room, with a view of the Gulf of Poets. Daily change of towels and after 4 days also of sheets. Rich and abundant breakfast, for me and my two children there was everything we desired. There is also a beautiful and large swimming pool, with table football and ping pong. We immediately felt at home, thanks to Grandma Lidia, Carlo and the two guys Jasmine and Francesco (provider of advice). To complete everything, 3 magnificent dogs: Ginger, Asia and Maya. We hope to come back! Truly a wonderful place.

Short but very intense vacation thanks first of all to the warm welcome received from Lidia and Carlo but also from their wonderful dogs Artù, Maya, Ginger, and Asia. Exceptional. Nonna Lidia pampered us at every moment of our stay, super abundant breakfast with specially made cakes, warm focaccia, artisanal jams, we couldn't ask for more! And then in front of a breathtaking panorama, you forget about everything and start dreaming.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast, even though the immediate feeling is practically to feel at home: the family is hospitable and welcoming, very nice Grandma Lidia! The offered room was very clean and spacious, we appreciated the books available and the fruit basket, the towels are changed every day. The view over the gulf is unique, more than a garden it is an oasis of great peace! My oldest daughter was happy to meet Grandma Lidia's sweet granddaughter, and as a little swimmer she enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the pool with me. My 3-year-old son was happy about the presence of slides and various toys, and like all of us he had a great time with the lovely dogs of the villa: Maya in particular was a sweet playmate! Delicious breakfast, like every aspect of our stay filled with attention, my husband still praises the freshly made fig jam he tasted! Lerici has one more reason for us to come back and visit!

Wir wurden freundlich und herzlich empfangen und haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Unsere kleine Tochter hat die Spielgeräten und Hunde geliebt und wäre am liebsten den ganzen Tag am sehr sauberen und schönen Pool und in der Anlage geblieben. Wir haben die fantastische Aussicht und die herrliche Ruhe genossen. Zum Frühstück wurden wir von La Nonna jeden Morgen mit Fisch gebackenem Kuchen und wunderbarer selbstgemachter Marmelade verwöhnt..einmalig!

Petit coin de paradis entre Lerici et Sarzana. Le site est somptueux avec une vue magnifique sur le Golf des poètes et très bien entretenu. Quant à la piscine elle est parfaite. Les enfants s’y sont très bien amusés. Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement. Nous aurions aimé rester un peu plus longtemps.

We (2 adult + boys 10 and 7 years old) really loved this B&B, host Lydia, her visiting children and grandchildren. It´s a perfect and quiet place to spend your vacation away from city noise. Spectacular view to sea and Portovernere. Pool area and pool house in the garden (no sea view) is really really huge and like a dream. In the room there is a refrigerator/freezer, if there had been a hotplate on terrace to boil pasta we had never left the property. Best regards Jonas, Annelie, Anton & Karl.

Visitato questa splendida struttura per la seconda volta, già questo fa pensare che alla prima mi fossi trovato bene, così è stato, splendida accoglienza in un ambiente sano e riservato, colazione abbondante e di ottima qualità, consiglio spassionato per chi vuole relax assoluto, la piscina a disposizione è a dir poco fantastica, i gestori molto cordiali e disponibili.

‘Magnificent!’ What a magnificent place to spend your holidays! Il Giardino has everything; The view across the Golfo dei Poeti is always changing and always beautiful, as are the night skies. The grounds are extensive, beautifully kept by the friendly gardiner and provide for plenty of shade, even during the hottest days. There’s all kinds of beautiful flowers and trees, and of course lots and lots of butterflies! But all this is just the start. Our apartment was spacious, cool and spotless, thanks to the lovely lady who came in every day to clean, provide us with fresh towels and practise her English. The al fresco breakfast was a great way to start the day and make plans for nice daytrips for instance to nearby Lerici (5 minutes by car, 2, 5 minutes with nonna Lydia driving), Tellaro (15 minutes, 7, 5 minutes with nonna Lydia driving), to La Spezia (15 km) or to rent an boat from Bocca di Magra and discover the Golfo (don’t miss Portovenere) for yourself. Of course planning nothing and lounging about all day in the large swimming pool, is always an attractive option as well. The best part of our stay at the Giardino delle Farfalle, however, was the company of nonna Lydia, her children Carlo, Anna and her grand-daughter Jasmine. They made us feel very welcome and they created an atmosphere in which we (two adults and two children aged 6 and 7) really felt part of the family for the two weeks of our stay. Our children had a great time playing with Jasmine and the dogs, collecting beetles, lizards, rocks, sticks, leafs etc. Our 6-year old boy was cured of his fear of dogs in no-time, which for us, was a huge, and unexpected, bonus. Although we’ve made it a policy to never go to the same place twice for our summer holidays, our stay at Il Giardino delle Farfalle has been so nice, that we’ve more or less decided to book two weeks next summer. We can only hope that there’s room left.

Le séjour fut merveilleux. Un hébergement très confortable, au calme, des hôtes très disponibles, on s’y sent comme « en famille ». Le jardin est très joli, le panorama est à couper le souffle et la piscine est grande et calme. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux. Nous n’avions plus envie de repartir… Un grand merci à toute la famille pour l’accueil !

Luogo di incantevole bellezza, immerso nella quiete di un enorme parco da cui si può ammirare lo splendido panorama sul Golfo dei Poeti. Ogni cosa è curata nei minimi particolari dai gentilissimi proprietari. Le camere sono molto spaziose e pulite e la piscina è veramente bella. Atmosfera calda e accogliente, ci si sente in famiglia. L'arredamento a volte un po' retrò é completato da libri e riviste d'epoca che mi hanno fatto sentire bambino. Splendida l'ambientazione, circondata dal verde.

Luogo di gran quiete, tranquillità e pace, panorama stupendo sul golfo di La Spezia. Colazione abbondante e varia, ottima pulizia delle camere, ampie e spaziose ed accoglienza calorosa da parte della signora Lidia, che è sempre presente ma mai invadente.

Il posto è stupendo, è una grande tenuta tra i boschi situata su una collina da cui si gode di una vista meravigliosa. Le camere sono molto ampie e comode, il mare è vicino, anche se, in alta stagione, viene davvero poco la voglia di scendere nel caos della spiaggia, vista la pace che regna sovrana al Giardino delle Farfalle. C'è una bella piscina con anche giochi galleggianti a disposizione, un tavolo da ping pong e tanto tanto verde. È tutto facile, ci si sente come in famiglia e a colazione, mentre si gustano le marmellate di nonna Lidia, rigorosamente fatte con la frutta del frutteto della tenuta, si scambiano piacevolmente quattro chiacchiere coi proprietari, disponibili e simpatici. Che cosa si può desiderare di più?.

Luogo splendido, posizionato in zona comoda e con vista mozzafiato sul Golfo dei Poeti. La villa è circondata da un vastissimo parco naturale e garantisce tranquillità e relax assoluto. Ospitalità squisita, piscina e struttura assolutamente favolose.

Nous y avons passé de magnifiques vacances. Lydia et Carlo nous ont accueillis très chaleureusement, en français en plus!L'endroit est superbe, offrant une vue imprenable sur le golfe des poètes. Le service est digne d'un hôtel: la chambre est nettoyée, les lits refaits et les serviettes de bain changées tous les jours. Le petit déjeuner est delicieux, avec les bonnes confitures et la bonne focaccia de Lydia!La piscine est très grande et il y avait plein de jeux pour les enfants. Bref, nous recommandons vivement cet endroit!

We are a family (two adults and three children between 6-10 years) from Denmark who stayed at Il Giardino Delle Farfalle a week in July. We loved it! This is a very unique place and the family are wonderful hosts. The view is amazing! And the kids loved the pool which is really big, clean and nice with lots of fun for kids and adults. The whole property is spectacular! Lots of fruit trees and small gems all around. It is a 5 min. drive from Lerici where you can find beaches, restaurants etc. It is rare, that you can see such a spectacular and beautiful property in Italy- and get to stay there. We would love to come back to this unique place in Italy and enjoy the view, the pool and the friendly family again.

BB with lot's of charm and beautiful surroundings. The host family are extremely kind and service oriented. Large swimming pool - deep with all kinds of play toys for kids and adults to be used. Lies all on top of the hill with an amazing view of the seaside.

We stayed three nights at the giardino delle farfalle. This place really has everything: A beautiful & very clean house, excellent breakfast, wonderfull swimming pool, spectacular view on the bay,..and it's a very good base to visit the cinque terre. You can take the ferryboat in Lerici. Which we did. What makes this place extra nice is the very hospitable and friendly hostess Lydia. Our last evening we wanted to enjoy the sunset on the terras of the house. We asked our hostess to join us, which she did, + she treated us with some of her home made pie and home made liquor. thank you Lydia; -) We very much enjoyed that moment ! Also recommendable to visit is the city of Tellaro. A town that outranks a couple of the cinque terre towns in beauty but lacks the crowds of tourists. It's only a few km's from Lerici. To summarize: we would highly recommend this B&B to every one Bye bye Nico, Wendy, Amelie & Margaux.

Grazie per il favoloso weekend. Un posto immerso nella natura ma con il massimo confort, sembra di essere ospiti da amici che ti coccolano, sempre disponibili e cordiali. La descrizione è fedelissima. I grandi si rilassano e si godono il panorama, i piccoli si divertono nel grandissimo giardino e nella fantastica piscina. Il Giardino delle Farfalle is simply tremendous. Located a couple of kms outside of Lerici in a park that affords spectacular views of the Gulf of La Spezia. It is meticulously clean, and spacious with lovely gardens and an enormous pool that will delight the most avid swimmers - adult and children. But much better than any of the above is the warmth and hospitality of Lydia, better known as 'Nonà- kind, warm, welcoming and a font of information as were her family members. And she cooks delicious tarts for breakfast. Without doubt, we will be back. Grazie mille Nona. Raphael, Denise, Isabel and Eoin.

Posto veramente magnifico, tutto è completamente identico come nelle foto, la vista sulla baia dei poeti è unica per non parlare della tranquillità che emana questo posto immerso nel verde adattissimo agli amanti della natura come me. Che dire dei proprietari sono veramente molto simpatici e disponibili. Merita davvero soggiornare qui non vedo l'ora di ritornarci.

Posto incantevole, fantastico, rilassante da bella vita.

Posto da fiaba, vista incantevole, signora Lidia amabile. Hai bisogno di pace? Tranquillità? Stare a contatto con la natura? Leggere? Riposare? È il posto ideale. Personalmente: sveglia alle 7:00, passeggiata tra gli alberi, colazione con vista Golfo dei Poeti. Dalle 10:00 alle 12:00 lettura, poi piscina, pausa merenda con frutta e ancora piscina e sole fino alle 18:00. Doccia e via a scoprire Lerici, Tellaro, Fiascherino, Portovenere, le 5 terre e altro ancora. Ritorno in Paradiso su per una stradina stretta e sconnessa (unico neo). Ci ritornerò a caricare le batterie.

Panorama con vista mare incantevole, gestori molto socievoli e disponibili, struttura con ampi spazi verdi immersi nella natura. Le camere sono confortevoli e ben pulite. A pochi minuti d'auto si raggiunge Lerici e a soli 20/30 km si arriva in Versilia. Per chi ama la natura e la quiete credo sia una struttura ideale.

Il Giardino delle Farfalle è davvero un posto meraviglioso: a partire dal parco che ti accoglie con ulivi e alberi secolari, dalla piscina invitante, dal silenzio e la pace che puoi godere alla gentilezza della signora Lydia che gestisce con discrezione e famigliarità. Il soggiorno è stato davvero ottimo: i bambini hanno potuto godere del grande spazio e della piscina e noi grandi della vista magnifica e delle comodità della stanza. Buona la colazione servita sul terrazzo che permette di osservare il mare di Lerici con il suo golfo che si apre di fronte. Tutto perfetto, anche l'affetto e la simpatia dei cani Ginger e Artù.

Un posto incantevole con una vista mozzafiato. Bellissima la piscina e il parco della struttura, non ci aspettavamo di essere immersi completamente nella natura. Ottimo punto di appoggio per raggiungere le 5 Terre. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Più che un B&B è una poesia vivente con vista sul golfo dei poeti, nelle vicinanze delle 5 terre, a due passi da Tellaro ma nell'assoluta privacy e relax di una villa immersa in un magnifico giardino con una splendida piscina circondata da una natura lussureggiante. Complimenti a Lidia e alla sua famiglia, ci hanno permesso di trascorrere una piccola vacanza da 10 e lode! Stefania.

Ho soggiornato in questa stupenda struttura una notte con il mio compagno e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il posto è veramente splendido! La camera a nostra disposizione era grandissima, praticamente un monolocale, la vista è stupenda, infatti il giardino affaccia sul golfo dei poeti! La piscina è bella e grande (c'è anche l'idromassaggio!) e la signora Lydia è stata molto gentile e cordiale! Come essere tra amici! Lo consiglio a tutti!

Prima di tutto siamo stati ospitati da una famiglia spettacolare, il gestore (Lydia) è sempre stato disponibile a soddisfare tutte le nostre richieste, ed il posto è da favola! Vista magica sul golfo dei poeti, a 5 minuti di auto da Lerici dove (oltre ad essere una bellissima località) ci si può imbarcare per Portovenere o le Cinqueterre. La location dove soggiornerete sarà comunque di per sé un'attrazione, una villa immersa nel verde con un panorama mozzafiato e una piscina adatta anche ai più piccoli. Lo considero un posto ideale per le famiglie, sicuramente torneremo presto a trovare Lydia!

We (49/17) stayed four days at „Il giardino delle farfalle“. But it is much more than this. It´s a little paradise. This B&B is situated in a fantastic landscape, where you can hear the cuckoo and see glohworms in the night. The view over the bay is indescribable. Lidia, Carlo, Jasmin and of course Ginger, the cuddly dog, gave us such a warm welcome. We felt like to be at home from the first moment. We stayed in the “small” room, 32 qm. It´s very clean and equipped with everything you need, even a kitchenette. The silence let us sleep longer than we planned to do. Breakfast was served on the private terrace of the family and we were very highly pleased. Lidia even let us get a taste of her fresh and homemade jam. Delicious. From this B&B it takes you a five minutes ride by car to Lerici where you can leave your car on a official parking place – not cheap. We used the time for excursions to Portovenere (45 minutes by car), Sarzana (15 minutes by car), Carrara with its quarrys of marble (45 minutes by car), the archeological site of Luni (20 minutes by car) and of course to discover the beautiful villages on the top and around the “peninsula” like Tellaro, Montemarcello and Ameglia. “Il giardino delle farfalle” – for us, it was/is the perfect destination.

Siamo stati ospiti nella splendida villa della signora Lidia dal 30 Maggio al 2 Giugno 2015 e ci siamo trovati benissimo! Le due camere, molto ampie, sono al piano terreno della casa, con accesso da un bel porticato da cui si gode un'impareggiabile vista sul Golfo dei Poeti. Il grande parco che circonda la casa è curato e sicuro anche per i bambini, che possono trovare giochi da giardino e l'ineguagliabile compagnia e affetto di un placidissimo labrador! La colazione viene servita sul terrazzo, accompagnata dall'energica simpatia della signora Lidia, vero concentrato di carisma e forza! La tranquillità e l'atmosfera familiare, l'enorme parco, la bella piscina attrezzata con giochi, consentono di non rimpiangere la vita di mare di Lerici, a cinque minuti di auto, sempre che si trovi parcheggio, e di tuffarsi piacevolmente nella tranquillità della collina con vista mare, i bambini non vorrebbero mai venire via dal giardino! Speriamo di tornare presto.
