The Agriturismo San Leonardello is a charming and lovely place with a welcoming and very friendly family as hosts. The grounds are beautiful with lots of lemon- (and other) trees, charming simple rooms, a delicious homemade breakfast, a very nice pool and stunning views of Mount Etna, the sea and Taormina.
It is a rather quiet place (apart from the lovely but during the nights incessantly barking dog), which we love, and a good starting point for trips to Catania, the Etna, Taormina and many more delightful places. We also drove to Caltagirone, where the famous ceramics are made and to beautiful Syracuse.
We personally would have liked it if there would have been a nice little village with some cafés one could reach on foot and have some nice walks, but the next village doesn't offer much in that respect and I would not recommend walking the small distance along the small yet quite frequented and dangerous road. So if you don't mind either taking the car for everything you want to do outside the Agriturismo or spending lots of time on the grounds of it, which would have been absolutely lovely had the weather been better (we had the bad luck of being there during the recent "Medicane" with lots of rain and thunderstorms), this is a wonderful place to be, a proper little paradise.
I can only praise the owners for their friendliness and the care they take to make the place special and charming and to suggest special destinations to their guests - it was always a pleasure talking to them!
