Luci sul Golfo is the best bed and breakfast in Italy. Paula and Maurizio were 300% dedicated to give us the most beautiful experience. We really felt part of the family and will certainly come back. Everything is perfect: the room with private bathroom, the best breakfast we ever had, the house with a garden at the top of the hill with a beautiful panorama and well equipped with chairs and swimming pool. Not only the location is great, they are magnificent people with the heart in the right place. I can recommend their place, you'll not regret it.

This place is a true haven of peace where it is nice to relax after visiting the Cinque Terre. A good swim in the pool is enjoyable. The hosts are particularly charming and welcoming! Maurizio and Paola are real gems of great kindness! Very nice stay.

In a high position with a view over the city of La Spezia, the city can be reached in a maximum of 10 minutes by car, or from the small station located 1 km away (with free parking). Quiet and peaceful place, very friendly owners, I felt at home.

Splendid small and comfortable Bed and Breakfast on the hills above La Spezia with a beautiful view of the city and the Gulf of Poets. Paola and Maurizio are two splendid hosts, they make you feel at home and pamper you with a thousand attentions, from breakfast with homemade cakes, biscuits, focaccias and bruschettas prepared daily and with dinners on request even for just two people (Paola is an excellent cook!). They can give you the right advice on beaches to spend the day, places to visit and restaurants to taste the local cuisine. The location is ideal, an ancient house elegantly renovated with lots of greenery around, in a very happy position always kissed by the sun and caressed by the breeze. In the garden you will find a very sociable little horse and a very comfortable pool to relax in serenity during the hottest hours. A few kilometers away there are the Cinque Terre, Porto Venere and Lerici, the excavations of Luni and the perched villages of Lunigiana and the Spezzino hinterland as well as less than an hour away Pisa and Lucca. Don't think twice, come here to spend your holidays!

From the first minute you feel comfortable here. The driveway is a bit bumpy and narrow, but then it's just about enjoying. The car has space in the private parking with carport. The wonderfully landscaped garden with pool is simply a dream and invites you to relax immediately. The hosts make you feel like you don't have to worry about anything. Every wish is granted on the spot. With a bit of luck, even the peacock from the area comes by for breakfast on the terrace/conservatory with panoramic view. If you are offered to eat there - DO IT. For 25€ you get a great homemade meal in 4 courses and you can even take a look at the open kitchen, where the owner cooks herself. The breakfast is also very tasty and prepared with love. You can choose between sweet and savory. You also get great tips for the area and can always ask for advice. If you are looking for a holiday atmosphere, you are at the right address! You feel like you are with your own family.

3 days in a wonderful place with exceptional hospitality. Very clean rooms, a relaxing environment, and excellent meals. Paola shared some culinary secrets with us. Homemade! A very generous and varied breakfast buffet with a beautiful presentation. Maurizio was very helpful in giving us advice and accompanied us to La Spezia, showing us around the port among other things. A charming, warm, and always smiling couple. Very nice meeting. We highly recommend this place. And moreover, it is very well located.

Stunning place, suggestive with a dream view over the Gulf of La Spezia. Paola and Maurizio, two exquisite, friendly, but above all special people. Paola's cuisine is excellent, from breakfast that satisfies all tastes to dinner that manages to savor Ligurian specialties. Staying at Luci sul Golfo was an unforgettable experience. Maurizio and Paola pampered us and made us feel at home from the first moment. They were attentive to all our needs without ever being intrusive. The property is beautiful, from the garden to the room, immense and very well-kept, with a private bathroom with a whirlpool bath. Breakfast is very abundant but above all of incredible quality, with homemade cakes and cookies, yogurt, juices and also a choice of savory items. The dinner, then, was a triumph of flavors. We were lucky enough to attend the New Year's Eve dinner, with a menu that would make Michelin-starred restaurants envious, in the company of very friendly guests and above all the hosts who managed to bring together all the diners with their courtesy and discretion. Finally, the property is in a strategic location to visit all the magnificent places of Liguria, from the Cinque Terre to Portovenere. We will definitely return, perhaps to enjoy the beautiful pool and a dinner on the panoramic terrace. Highly recommended!

"Luci sul Golfo" was a delightful discovery. The managers are friendly, welcoming, and attentive to the customer's care. The structure is finely furnished, pleasing to the eye and soul. The food, strictly local, is masterfully prepared by Mrs. Paola, who never fails to describe its origins and tradition. The breakfast is equally well-prepared and abundant, also served on the splendid terrace overlooking the Gulf. Rating 10+++.

Beautiful choice of colors, fabrics, as well as the care of the greenery and the pleasantness of the outdoor garden. The cuisine is abundant and genuine. If you want to eat typical, don't waste time looking around: you are already in the best place to immerse yourself in local flavors. From the first course to the dessert to the wine, everything will speak to your palate of recipes consistent with the territory and attentive to the environment. Oil, basil, mint, legumes, vegetables, simple raw materials for a kitchen of great quality. Breakfast is rich and completely homemade. Sweet and savory, with delicate and refined recipes, homemade jams, warm bread, sandwiches and omelettes, shortbread and sweets. Nothing packaged, which is a delight! Finally, but not least in importance, the dedication to the relationship. Paola and Maurizio will make you feel like friends, in the fullness of the serene and human closeness of two living people. In conclusion, Luci sul Golfo was the real added value of this vacation in Liguria for us. Without a doubt, go there!

Hello dear readers,\nwe would like to thank our hosts Paula and Mauricio once again for the wonderful time in their home, where we felt very comfortable. We will come back next year.\n\nThe house and the rooms are very beautiful and appealing. In the garden, you have the opportunity to sunbathe on the available sun loungers and refresh yourself in the pool. Mauricio's horse Vicky is in the spacious garden and can - of course, you don't have to if you don't want to - be petted, as well as the 2 very lovely boxers.\n\nRegarding the "location of the accommodation": Theoretically, everyone will judge this differently. I could have given a 10 for us here too, as it was a good starting point for many of our excursions and we were still accommodated in a quiet place. From here, we took the train to Pisa and by car to Genoa, as well as by car to various smaller towns and beaches. The only thing that might not appeal to potential guests is that La Spezia is a port city that still offers a lot, e.g., a promenade, a marina, a city center, etc.\n\nBreakfast was always very lovingly arranged in the form of a buffet, with the dishes changing. See picture in the description - this is what breakfast really looks like and it is very delicious.\n\nIf you wish, you can order a menu for the evening, which is prepared by Paula - very good.\n\nAs I said, we all liked it very much, even our 13-year-old son would have liked to stay longer, even though his friends were waiting at home.
