Estructura particularmente interesante también por la historia de los locales de los que se obtuvo. Habitaciones esenciales, cómodas, acogedoras y ordenadas. El propietario es una persona encantadora y una rica fuente de información para aquellos que quieren quedarse en Calabria. El pueblo de Scigliano es muy bonito.

¡Absolutamente amamos nuestra experiencia aquí! La vista desde el balcón es absolutamente impresionante y conocer a nuestro anfitrión Raffaele fue definitivamente uno de los aspectos más destacados de nuestro viaje. Nuestra reserva fue accidentalmente duplicada pero Raffaele nos ofreció su espacio personal, lo cual fue genial para nosotros porque amamos el arte y como él es pintor todo el espacio está abundantemente lleno de sus obras de arte. El balcón tiene suficiente espacio para hacer yoga o hacer ejercicio. Ofrecían desayuno y café, también hay una cafetería y un restaurante cercano. ¡Altamente recomendado! ¡Gracias por recibirnos!

El lugar es muy agradable y tiene una maravillosa atmósfera relajada.

En esta parte de Calabria, Raffaele no solo es el administrador de su espartano pero refinado B&B Calabria, sino también el anfitrión, el amigo, el divulgador histriónico de rincones ocultos de su preciosa tierra. Gracias a sus indicaciones, descubrimos una Calabria que es montañas, lagos, mar, comida, hospitalidad. Mis vacaciones encontraron total correspondencia en Scigliano, en una colina (entre silencio, paisaje y personas maravillosas y hospitalarias) a poca distancia de resorts en la costa y de la Sila con sus fantásticos bosques y lagos. ¡Una experiencia que vale la pena repetir!

Reserva realizada por la tarde a las 15 para llegar alrededor de las 21. Propietario muy amable, que nos hospedó con gracia a un precio simbólico. La estructura se encuentra en el interior, la distancia desde Amantea, en coche, es de aproximadamente 1h.

We were fortunate enough to have a reason to visit the village of Scigliano in the province of Calabria Italy. My husbands mother’s family live there and we were on a mission to explore roots. Scigliano is truly a hidden gem. Google maps could find the town but not the address of any of the inhabitants within the town. If you are looking for a beautiful truly unspoiled Italian village nestled in the hills this is the place. The village is situated between Sila National Park and the sea. Both are less than a thirty minute drive away. The remains of a 2000 year old Roman bridge can be found near the bottom of the hillside. The B&B where we stayed affords expansive views of the area and now a canvas photo of the 800 year old cloister hangs on my living room wall. The top of an impressive Baroque church can also be seen from the B&B and is worth the walk up the narrow village lanes. No less than four churches are scattered among the groupings of homes that make up Scigliano. A couple of typical Italian markets service the village and the pizzeria in the main square is very popular with the locals. Alas we didn’t have the opportunity to eat there as we were served up wonderful fare by my husband’s extended family. We traveled from Canada. It had been 50 years since my husband had last visited and we did not want to impose too much on his family so we booked the only accommodation in town, B&B Calabria. Our accommodations were lovely. We stayed in what used to be an old bakery. Raffaele the owner has renovated it into a couple of comfortable rooms with bathrooms with modern amenities. We especially enjoyed the ancient stone wall and high ceilings in our room. While most of the villagers do not speak English we were delighted to find out that we didn’t need to use Google translate with Raffaele. As he made up some wonderful coffee and served up Calabrese bread with fruit spread or tomatoes and cheese he told us points of interest we may want to check out. His warmth made us immediately feel at home. Biking and motorcyclist enthusiasts looking to explore open roads would love this area.

Appena arrivati, siamo stati accolti da un'atmosfera familiare, ci siamo sentiti veramente a casa e non ospiti. La disponibilità di Raffaele va ben oltre di quella di un gestore del B&B, è una persona eccezionale e disponibilissima, lasciatevi viziare per la colazione ed affidatevi a lui per ricevere consigli preziosi. La camera spaziosa, pulita, confortevole ed attrezzata. Colazione splendida. Abbiamo apprezzato tutte le piccole cose che veramente fanno la differenza durante un soggiorno. Grazie ancora di tutto.
