Very beautiful structure with stunning view, not too isolated, stunning and very welcoming rooms, the mattress was very soft. Near the center, the owner very kind and helpful.

The place is very cozy, I would add enchanting, and very relaxing if you want to get away from the city chaos. The owner is extremely helpful. Just like in all B&Bs, you feel at home. I will definitely come back.

It's not really a bed and breakfast, but a couple of rooms in the main house, small yet comfortable. There is a lack of freedom space, it feels like being guests at the owners' house. Breakfast on request, it is good to specify precisely what you would like to eat, otherwise you are provided with what the average guests normally eat. Beautiful location.

I stayed at this B&B in July, I stayed with my 84-year-old father. It was planned for a week's stay, then we liked the quiet place on the mountain hills of Valsassina with a stunning, relaxing view, a coolness... that we decided, given the opportunity, to extend our stay. The owner Manuela, a kind, affable, down-to-earth woman, with whom a friendly relationship was established, even with the 90-year-old father, a super active man who takes care of the wonderful garden surrounding the entire B&B. We were in a studio with an internal kitchen, we didn't have breakfast, but I could see what Manuela prepares. Next time we will try, we plan to return as soon as possible as it is just over an hour from Milan province, easy to reach. Thanks to Manuela and family.

Beautiful, clean, and private place. Mrs. Emanuela is an excellent host, she immediately made us feel comfortable. Excellent outdoor breakfast. We only stayed one night, but it's a great reference point for a holiday in Valsassina.

Ideal for weekends immersed in the relaxation of nature. Ski slopes are reachable within a few minutes in winter, or trails and walks to do with the family and children. I recommend it!

I have been to Valsassina several times now and the B&B Il Castagneto has become my point of reference. Emanuela's hospitality is unique: courteous, kind, caring without losing professionalism. Every time it's like coming back home. If that weren't enough, the beauty of the landscape and the serenity that emanate from the B&B's location are already reasons in themselves to prefer and choose it. Highly recommended.

A very lovely renovated house, equipped with everything you need to relax on vacation. Our personal highlight was the warm Italian welcome from the family that made us feel at home from the very first minute. Mille grazie Manuela!

Il Castagneto is in a lovely position, in the hills surrounded by woods, yet easily accessible from the SP. It is not too far on foot from the village of Pasturo where one can find a pleasant bar - the Bar Sporting, a grocery, a pharmacy and a shop called Non Solo Pasta for those who wish to pick up some deli food, salads, baked pasta and desserts for picnics or to eat in at the b&b. The property itself is very attractive and we enjoyed having breakfast out in the garden and just chilling out on the deckchairs and sofas in the evening. The rooms are nicely furnished, the kitchen is very well equipped for those who wish to make their own meals, and everything works properly. We stayed in the Red Room, which is rather small, and I would recommend it to those who want to spend all day outdoors. However, adding the use of the kitchen to this bedroom will greatly add to the comfort, while noting that guests in the next room will need to pass through the kitchen. The host of this property is a friendly, easy-going person who treats clients as guests and ensures that they have a very nice stay. There are some pleasant walks that start from the B&B itself, and other walks that start from Pasturo, while a short drive away are the Barzio and Artavaggio cable cars. All in all, staying at Il Castagneto was a very good choice because the property itself is nice enough to spend the entire day there, while there are several things to do in the surrounding area.

Bella struttura in posizione panoramica e comoda per gli spostamenti. Abbiamo alloggiato in un monolocale fornito di tutte le comodità, accoglienza calorosa e estrema cordialità. La Signora Manuela è un concentrato di ospitalità, grinta e simpatia, non da meno la figlia Silvia. Anche il nonno super simpatico. La colazione rispettosa dei gusti e delle abitudini di ciascuno, viene servita sotto il gazebo in giardino e, vi assicuro, iniziare la giornata coccolati, serviti e riveriti, con il meraviglioso panorama e l'aria frizzantina del luogo, è veramente una bella vacanza. Ottima ospitalità, posto splendido con vista spettacolare, tanta tranquillità e struttura molto bella.

Ho trovato tutto squisito: la casa, il giardino, la posizione, il panorama e la titolare. Ci siamo riposati e goduti la natura. Ci ritorneremo senz'altro. Grazie, Emanuela.

-italiano qui sotto- This place is just perfect. We spent an amazing weekend there, for a skiing and relaxation vacation. The apartment was beautiful, clean, cozy, quiet, and well-heated (although its location in the mountains) and the view was breath-taking. The apartment has also a private kitchen, bathroom and shower, as well as Wi-Fi included. The owner, Emanuela, is very kind, and welcoming, she was always available and made us feel at home. I just moved to Italy not so long ago and so my Italian is not so good, but Emanuela was still very nice, friendly and easy to talk to. She also prepared us a fantastic Italian breakfast. Since we didn’t have a car she was always there to help with her amazing smile and gave us rides to Piani di Bobbio ski site (which is really close), and to other places in beautiful Pasturo. It`s also possible to just take nice walks in the nature of Pasturo or get by foot from the B&B to the Pizzeria, supermarket, and bar. We will definitely come back! Questo posto è semplicemente perfetto. Abbiamo trascorso un fantastico weekend lì, per una vacanza sugli sci e per il relax. L'appartamento era bello, pulito, accogliente, silenzioso e ben riscaldato (anche se la si trova in montagna) e la vista era mozzafiato. L'appartamento ha anche una cucina privata, bagno e doccia, nonché Wi-Fi incluso. La proprietaria, Emanuela, è molto gentile e accogliente, lei era sempre disponibile e ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Mi sono appena trasferita in Italia non molto tempo fa e quindi il mio italiano non è molto buono, ma Emanuela era ancora molto carina, amichevole ed era facile parlarle. Ci ha anche preparato una fantastica colazione all'italiana. Dato che non avevamo una macchina, lei era sempre lì per aiutare con il suo sorriso stupefacente e ci ha dato un passagio al comprensorio sciistico dei Piani di Bobbio (che è molto vicino), e ad altri posti nel bellissimo Pasturo. È anche possibile fare belle passeggiate nella natura di Pasturo o andare a piedi dal B&B alla Pizzeria, al supermercato e al bar. Torneremo sicuramente!

Il Castagneto is the best bed and breakfast anyone could hope for in the beautiful Valsassina Valley. Manuela is extremely kind, sociable, and lively. She made my stay unforgettable! As she said when she picked me up from the bus stop, Il Castagneto is a paradise.

Ottima posizione del B&B, immerso nel verde con vista sulla valle. Adatto per una vacanza rilassante o anche solo un weekend lontano dalla città. Ospitalità dei gestori al top. Punto strategico per raggiungere le attrazioni del posto.

Io e la mia famiglia abbiamo soggiornato per 4 giorni e 3 notti. Ci siamo trovati molto bene anche con la titolare dell'attività. Ovviamente devi avere l'auto per spostarti nelle vicinanze. Ambiente molto tranquillo, ideale per riposarsi, ma anche comodo per raggiungere la funivia per i piani di Bobbio molto organizzati per gli sport invernali come sci e bob. Abbiamo fatto amicizia anche con un gattino di nome trilli di cui mia figlia si è innamorata subito. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

Abbiamo soggiornato nel B&B in 4 per Capodanno e fino all'Epifania. La sistemazione è comoda perché abbiamo avuto un mini appartamento fornito di tutti i comfort, riscaldamento personalizzabile uso cucina etc. La struttura è nuova e funzionale la posizione buona rispetto alle piste, occorre avere l'auto per spostarsi, anche se la signora Manuela è sempre molto disponibile ad accompagnare in caso di necessità. La colazione è molto personalizzabile quindi bisogna essere dettagliati nelle richieste, penso sia dovuto ad evitare lo spreco e personalmente lo trovo molto giusto quindi poca timidezza nelle richieste (la torta di mele è buonissima, chiedetela). Una delle stanze è un po' piccolina ma comunque confortevole. Pulizie e cambio biancheria ogni 3 giorni sempre per riguardo all'ambiente, lo trovo apprezzabile è un ambiente familiare e non prevede un trattamento standard da hotel, Manuela è un po' la mamma di tutti nel B&B e ci è venuta incontro in qualsiasi richiesta anche stravagante tipo spostare la macchina dal parcheggio perché terrorizzati dal ghiaccio (inesistente). Ultima chicca la presenza discreta di due gattini molto affettuosi e che gradiscono parecchio le bricioline avanzate dalle torte della colazione. Lo consiglio anche per lunghi soggiorni.

La titolare è una persona veramente fantastica, simpatica, solare e soddisfa ogni tua richiesta, facendoti sentire a casa. La struttura è stupenda ha un panorama fantastico, in casa si sta al caldo è non manca niente. Consiglio di andarci per passare un periodo fantastico e rilassante.

Tutto perfetto. La Signora Manuela è una bravissima padrona di casa; presente e premurosa su qualsiasi esigenza, senza essere mai invadente, ma anzi facendoti sentire a tuo agio. Camera bella e pulitissima; colazione abbondante servita sotto il fresco gazebo del giardino. Un 10 su tutto.

Una casa in posizione stupenda - e comoda al paese - e un'ospitalità attenta e cordiale. Molto confortevole la camera con angolo cottura.

Bella struttura con un panorama stupendo e soprattutto le persone accoglienti. Camera pulita e ben arredata ideale per un week da relax.

La struttura è accogliente e si trova immersa in un posto incantevole, silenzioso e isolato rispetto al centro del paese (in ogni caso piccolo e silenzioso). Ci sono tante camminate da poter fare in zona e prendendo l'auto si arriva a più stazioni sciistiche. A noi è piaciuto molto.

Struttura in posizione tranquilla e con vista panoramica sulla valle, la Signora molto gentile, e anche la pulizia generale ottima, consiglio per ottimo relax e fine settimana.

Posto meraviglioso! Camera davvero comoda e confortevole, clima familiare, semplice e garbato. Davvero una bella struttura. È bello potersi immergere nel silenzio della natura per sfuggire allo stress quotidiano.

Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte. Struttura ben curata e confortevole, ampia stanza tripla con bagno, ottima la pulizia e la posizione, a soli 10 minuti di macchina dalla funivia di Barzio, cordialità e gentilezza contraddistingono l'accoglienza da parte della proprietaria. Ci torneremo sicuramente.
