We stayed at the Ai Savoia hotel during the ATP Finals. Unfortunately, my review can only be negative. The manager on the phone seemed kind, but once on the spot I can't say the same (the saying: False and courteous Torinese?... well). To get to the rooms, you have to exit and enter another building but BEWARE! There is a long and steep staircase to climb; as it is a historic building, there is obviously no elevator, but in my opinion, this is information that the hotelier MUST absolutely provide! In the bathroom, there was no usual courtesy set that you would expect to find especially when traveling by air, but only two small samples of bath foam, like those from perfumeries. In the shower, in an embarrassing plastic basket, I found a dispenser with shampoo (clearly used by all guests). The same goes for the hand soap (used)... against the most basic rules of anti-contagion safety. Still hopeful, I asked for at least a shower cap; the "kind gentleman at the reception" made this request seem absolutely ridiculous... I was almost speechless... as if I had asked for gold! It wasn't provided, according to him... In short... for 105 euros a day, this service could have been expected! Another embarrassing thing! Never happened before! The rooms were clean, but there was a simple lack of a trash can to separate paper and plastic in the small bathroom (Tip... buy a trash can for the rooms!) and also missing was the sanitizing gel. The icing on the cake... on the day of departure, we asked to leave our luggage, as the departure was scheduled for 3 pm. We would have taken a last tour and then returned to head to the airport... but no! The "kind gentleman at the reception" did not allow us to leave them there. THANK YOU! Another embarrassing thing. In short, we will definitely not return to this hotel and therefore I cannot recommend it. The receptionist girl and the staff in the breakfast room were kind instead. Speaking of breakfast... do not expect an international breakfast... it is not provided... and have your coffee at the bar... even the cappuccino! Turin is a beautiful city... but when the plane flew over the fog and clouds... we finally saw the SUN.
