We had a short but very sweet stay at Case Zuccaro. Giovanni and his lovely wife were the perfect hosts and showed us around this lovely 18th C. home. After a hard day's trek on Mount Etna and a stroll around the lovely garden he prepared us a fabulous meal as we chatted in a cosy, relaxed setting with local wine, limoncello and fruits and veg to hand. What more could you ask for. The rooms are attached to the main house and each have their own entrance, which is great as you are free to come and go without disturbing anyone else and there is a place o the grounds to park. The only slight negative is the blind exit onto a main road as you leave the property but if there are two of you one can hop out of the car and check that the coast is clear which it generally was.
Lastly the breakfast was to die for. Warm cornettos, fresh bread and rolls from the bakery, Giovanni's homemade jams.
If your planning on visiting Etna (which is spectacular) or the wonderful Greek Amphitheatre in Taormina (30mins by car) do stop at Casa Zuccaro you won't regret it.
