Volterra with 3000 years of history, from the Etruscans to the Romans through the Middle Ages up to modern times is still a lively town in the heart of Tuscany.

You can go walking, cycling or riding, but also simply relax or visit famous towns nearly, such as San Gimignano (15 Km), Siena(40 km), Pisa (60 km), or Florence (70 km).

Our farm offers simple but comfortable hospitality in cosy and carefully restored rooms and flats in a genuine country atmosphere.

Of primary importance is that we farm our land with biological methods -the basis for slow food.

Our agriturismo il like an oasis in the wonderful landscape of the hills surronding Volterra. If you love nature, you will be happy to let your eyes wander over the hills with their soft colours or go long walks, muntain bike rides or on horseback.

You will knowmore about the still mysterious etruscan history by visiting Volterra's Acropolis, or the famous Etruscan museum with its rich collection, among which the famous "Ombra della Sera" (a small sculpture calledEvening Shadow).What remains of the Etruscan city wall still shows the importance ofthe town in those times.

Of the Roman period among others there is the beautiful Roman theatre (1° century after C.).

But Volterra has maintained its medieval character and the Piazza dei Priori in one of Italy's most beautiful squares.
