The Country House "L'ippocastano" in the neighbourhood of Cilento's National Park, is located at Cerrelli of Altavilla Silentina (SA). It offers a quiet and comfortable stay in the middle of a green area. Double rooms, three and four bedded rooms are available, all equipped with shower, conditioned air, refrigerator and TV sat. Room cleaning is done daily. A swimming pool, a garden and a parking area are available to our guests.

In about 15 minutes by car it is possible to reach Paestum, an ancient Greek colony, a world heritage site, now one of the most famous archaeological places in the world, appreciated also for its sandy beaches and clean sea. Not far from Altavilla Silentina there are the Alburni mountains, whose highest peak) 1742 meters) gives the name to the whole chain, the characteristic caves of Castelcivita and also Pertosa's caves which, unique in Italy may be visited on a boat crossing a lake originatedby an underground river.

Moreover it is possible to go on excursions through the National Park of Cilento and to follow gastronomic itineraries for the tasting of typical products such as the famous buffalo mozzarella, Cilento's white figs, the remarkable olive oil produced in Cilento and on the hills of Salerno and the DOC wine of Castel San Lorenzo.

Motorway Salerno Reggio Calabria, exit Eboli. Then turn right and left at the second roundabout. Go on as far as "Borgo Carillia". In Via Nettunia turn right and then left at the crossing. Go beyond the patrol station "M petroli". After 300 mt. before reaching Cerrelli's suborb turn right. We are there.

An alternate way
Motorway Salerno Reggio Calabria. Exit Battipaglia. Run along the SS 18 direction Paestum. At Santa Cecilia turn left and then right at the first roundabout. Reach "Borgo Carillia". Go on as explained in the first description.

Coming from Paestum
Run along the SS 18 direction Battipaglia. At "Ponte Barizzo" turn right and go on as far as the crossing of Matinella. Then turn left and at the fork keep right. Go beyond the patrol station M petroli and turn right before reaching Cerrelli.
