Via Gioz, 87 - BELLUNO (BL)
The Casa di Gioz is a unique place, born from a blend of family roots and a desire for sharing. Built by my father in my mother's hometown, it is a house that I cherish deeply for the light that fills it and the wild valley surrounding it. I chose to return and live there, preserving the spirit of openness that my parents had instilled an making an homestay of it. Over time, I have discovered that travelers from all over the world come here, united by a shared love for nature, curiosity, and starry skies.
Nestled in greenery, the house is located on the edge of the Dolomiti Bellunesi Park and along the route of the Alta Via number 1. There are countless opportunities for hiking and cycling suitable for all skill levels. The Valbelluna, a historic holiday destination for Venetian nobility, offers breathtaking views, while the proximity to the main town of Belluno ensures easy access to cinemas, theaters, upscale restaurants, and cafes. The location is ideal for exploring the Dolomites as well as visiting the artistic cities of Veneto, with Venice being easily reachable.
The South Room is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for longer stays. Guests have exclusive access to the kitchen/tavern, ideal for those looking for a convenient base to explore the area. The bathroom is shared with the Piero Room.
The Piero Room, more basic in nature, is perfect for short stays, accommodating young travelers and climbers passing through. It can be set up with a double bed or two separate beds and includes access to the breakfast area, equipped with a fridge, coffee maker, and kettle. It does not include kitchen access but offers a more affordable rate. In this case as well, the bathroom is shared with the South Room.
