Via Tassinaia, 936 - TERRANUOVA BRACCIOLINI (AR)
This old convent, recently renovated and extended (230 mq), is in the heart of the Tuscan countryside.   It is built on a small hill which looks over the beautiful birthplace of the scholar Poggio Bracciolini, surrounded by lush, green countryside and yet still close to the town centre. Four great cities of art are within easy reach: Florence (50 km), Siena (55 km), Arezzo (30 km) and Chianti (25 km), but many smaller, lesser-known villages have secrets waiting to be discovered

“Outside the boundaries of the town, on the hill crest – towards the south east– in front of the ancient Loro Ciuffenna Door, there is a old farmhouse  with a separate Chapel. ”
Domenico Bacci, ‘Terranuova Bracciolini and its history’

Local villagers tell tales about a time long ago, when each day, from the old, noble and solitary dwelling at the top of the hill, in the early morning light, a monk emerged, and looked around at the sunlight on the surrounding vineyards and olive trees, as a way of thanking the earth and the sky for their beauty.

Today ‘il Conventino’ is a welcoming villa surrounded by the peaceful valley of the Arno river, between Florence and Arezzo.   The ground floor is architecturally designed as open-plan, furnished with both style and a love of detail.   It composes a large living room, with a very comfortable double sofabed, a charming fireplace and all of the usual Wi-Fi, smartTV (Netflix, Amazon prime, RaiPlay, etc), home theatre, 33/45 rpm reader.   The kitchen/dining area offers a large wooden table for 10 people, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and oven.   Just off the kitchen, is the downstairs WC, and a laundry/utility room (sink, washing machine, dryer).   On the first floor there are three bedrooms (a double bedroom, a french-style bedroom and an in-built bunk-bed room with three beds).   There are also two bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi).

The courtyard outside has a wooden table framed by a pretty veranda with both a large, covered barbecue area and a pizza oven
